WWE Smackdown Live 29/1/19 | My Coherent Review.

Look, I'm just gonna get this out of the way. Smackdown Live was a disappointing show and here's why.

Opening segment.

“You grew into The Man because of the lessons learned from The Queen.”
The show started off with Becky Lynch coming out to the ring. Becky Lynch grabbed the microphone with a smile on her face and she said that unlike Ronda, she doesn't crumble when she loses.

Becky Lynch also said that she's not ashamed of build herself from nothing and proud that she went from being on the pre-show of WrestleMania last year to main eventing this year's Wrestlemania. The crowd then chanted "you deserve it" and minutes after that, Charlotte came out.

The queen said that she's proud for her friend/rival Bex. Charlotte also said that she's the reason that Becky is what she is today. After that, Becky Lynch hits her with a forearm which led to a brawl between Becky and Charlotte. Overall a decent segment in my opinion.

R truth vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the United States championship.

Before the match, R truth and Carmella came out to the ring and Truth basically said that had he been in the Royal Rumble match instead of Nia Jax, he would've won the match (Lies).

The match itself was fine but R truth actually won the match and the championship with a small package which fell botched and not planned. After the match, Rusev came out and demanded a championship match to which R Truth accepted.

The match ended quickly with a school boy roll up from R Truth. After the match, both Rusev and Nakamura teamed up to beat R Truth. What a mess that was and like I said on my RAW review with Elias' heel turn (which you can click here), why would you turn Rusev heel with a roster that feels like they have more heels than babyfaces? Sometimes when you build up a character, you don't ALWAYS have to turn them heel.

Rey Mysterio vs Samoa Joe.

Suddenly, Andrade attacks Mysterio from behind!
Before the match, Zelina Vega came out and cut a promo upset that she wasn't by Andrade's side last week. Then Andrade sneak attacked Rey Mysterio and hits him with the hammerlock DDT. I feel like this feud needs the United States championship and would've been a better fit instead of what we got earlier.

After that, a tag team match was made between the good brothers, Rusev and Nakamura for I'm guessing next week's show?

Shane McMahon and The Miz tag team championship Celebration.

Shane says he called Miz̢۪s dad to keep him from leaving after Royal Rumble.
After Shane gave his usual cheap pop, The Miz was asking if this is a celebration, why there's no balloons and confetti everywhere? Shane answered by saying that's a traditional celebration and Shane has something planned for The Miz that's far better than it.

One was a video package summarizing how they became the best tag team in the world. Two was bringing Miz's Dad to the ring with the crowd chanting "Mr Miz" and his Dad said that he's proud for his son. Shane McMahon then made a fatal four-way elimination match to determine the number one contender for the tag team championship.

I wasn't a fan of this at first but ever since their championship victory, I'm intrigued as to where this goes from here. A very good segment.

Mandy Rose was interviewed backstage by Kayla Braxton about the reason why she hates Naomi is because of what Naomi said to her on Tough Enough almost 4 years ago. Okay? This itself was awful but what bothers me about this is that unlike the teams on RAW, they just declared themselves in the Elimination Chamber match for the women's tag team championship which defeats the purpose of a qualifying match.

The Uso vs The New Day vs The Bar vs Heavy Machinery. Winner faces Shane and Miz for The SmackDown Live Tag Team championship.

Decent match. The New Day was Eliminated by Heavy Machinery then Heavy Machinery was eliminated by The Bar with Sheamus delivered the Brogue kick to Tucker Knight and then The Bar was eliminated by The Usos with the Uso splash. I don't mind Heavy Machinery losing like that considering that they just pinned a former 5-time tag team champions in The New Day but who knows, WWE might mess up their booking just like what WWE did with Sanity.

Daniel Bryan Brings An Eco-Friendly Championship.

Daniel Bryan came out to the ring and asked "Do you know who won this past Sunday at the Royal Rumble?" and the crowd answered the question by chanting "BECKY, BECKY, BECKY" which was hilarious. Daniel Bryan replied by saying that everybody won because of Daniel Bryan and he's the planet's champion.

Then Bryan brought Erick Rowan to the ring or Rowan as he's known now. Minutes after that, Daniel Bryan brought an eco-friendly WWE championship and threw the old title in the dustbin. Out came AJ Styles and Styles said that he's not gonna let watch Bryan disrespect the championship like that.

Out came Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy and Mustafa Ali. Ali said that he actually pinned the champion before. After Orton told Ali that he was thrown by a woman in the Royal Rumble match, Samoa Joe came to ring and cut a savage promo to everybody in that ring.

After that, Triple H appeared on the titantron and announced a WWE championship match between all of those men inside the Elimination Chamber. I can't wait for this match. Sign me up.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Daniel Bryan Brings An Eco-Friendly Championship, Shane McMahon and The Miz tag team championship Celebration.

Didn't like: The way WWE booked the United States championship, the Mandy Rose backstage segment.

WWE Smackdown 14/2/20 | My Coherent Review.

Last night was my 2nd anniversary of pumping out written content on this site and I thought since this show has delivered 6 or sometimes 3 out of 10s for 4 months now, I've written some lyrics about my thoughts on Smackdown in the style of the current song opening for the blue brand.  If you wanna put the instrumental version of ACDC's Are You Ready while reading this then that's cool too.  *Cue the intro* Are you Ready?  Are you ready for mediocrity! Then, get ready for disappointment.  No one needs it.  No one needs it.  No one needs it.   Even Bischoff.  Are you ready for mediocrity! *ends with some guitar solos*.  The lyrics may suck but it is at least better than whatever the hell Justin Bieber meant when he sang his current single "Yummy".  Now, on with the review. The Return Of A Moment Of Bliss (Unlike The Return Of The Dirt Sheets, Nobody Really Cares).  Both Bliss...

The 5 News Week: An NXT Segment Getting Some Backstage Praise!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.  some pictures via WWE.com Stephanie McMahon One Of The Best Heels In The Attitude Era? Jim Ross Thinks So.  Jimmy Ross recently talked about the role Stephanie McMahon and whether she was "one of the best heels we had in the attitude era" (from sescoops ):  “I always believe she was one of the best heels that we had in the Attitude Era. Because she took so much after her dad.” Stephanie played as the spoiled rich daughter of an a*h*ole boss and that is a dish of easy heel heat.  Stephanie McMahon's spoiled brat type of heel moulded well with a vicious, opportunist of a bad guy that Triple H portrayed as during the era of the McMahon/Hemsley faction.  Without her constant presence on TV, A piece of Triple H's persona especially in the year 2000, would b...

Priscilla Kelly Used A Tampon In A Wrestling Match: Right Or Wrong?

If you have been away from social media for the past day or so, a wrestler by the name of Priscilla Kelly (who by the way, recently competed in the second Mae Young Classic tournament) competed in a match in which she pulled out her tampon and put it on her rival's mouth. That struck the wrestling world on Twitter with differences of opinions. She did respond to this on Twitter and here's what she had to say: Hey guys. Ya know, it's all fake. 21+ show with a bar. Can't take life so serious all the time. Call me what you will... 🌹 — The Priscilla Kelly (@priscillakelly_) January 5, 2019 What do I think of this? I don't understand why this became as viral as it is considering that we've seen hardcore, brutal, disgusting stuff in a wrestling match before. However, it did get an "ugh" reaction out of me.  Was it right or wrong that she did this? My answer is none considering that wrestling is subjective and there's no such thing ...
