WWE RAW 28/1/19 | My Coherent Review.

This episode of Monday Night RAW was a very good show with one memorable moment and here's why.

Opening Segment.

Ambrose is sickened by the “father-son schtick,” and he claims Triple H never believed in Rollins...

Monday night RAW started off with Seth Rollins coming out to ring with a standing ovation. He then cut a promo basically saying that his love and his passion made him win the Royal Rumble match which led to the crowd chanting “You deserve it”.

After Seth made his decision to take his time to think about which champion he’s facing at Wrestlemania, Out came Triple H and Hunter said that Seth has to make his decision tonight. Out came Dean Ambrose and Dean said that Triple H doesn’t believe in you, Dean does.

Triple replied by saying that Dean believes in the same person that backstabbed him the night that his other brother relinquished his championship to fight leukaemia. Dean then waits to face Seth to which Hunter accepted. Overall a good segment.

Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose.

Decent match. During the match, Dean Ambrose delivered a roll up to Seth that almost beat him. The match ended with Seth hit the stomp to Ambrose and won the match.

After the match, Dean was about to cut a promo until Nia Jax and Tamina interrupted him and they had a stare down. Nia then punched Dean and Dean walked out. Whatever.

Alexa Bliss and Mickie James vs Nia Jax and Tamina.

WWE Photo
It was an okay match but Nia did win with an impressive double Samoan drop to both Bliss and James.

Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin.

WWE Photo
After Baron Corbin cut a pretty basic promo on Angle, the Olympic gold medalist had enough and that’s how the match started. Baron Corbin won the match and then he delivered the end of days to Kurt Angle just because. By the way, I know this is a nitpick but why isn’t Corbin fighting in his wrestling gear? I mean he’s not the GM anymore.

Finn Balor Promo.

He also claims that Finn wouldn̢۪t stand a snowball̢۪s chance in hell of beating Lashley because he̢۪s bigger, faster and stronger than Lesnar will ever be.
Finn Balor cut a promo basically saying he’s hurt and wasn't really the same after his encounter with the beast. He then was Interrupted by Bobby Lashley with Lio Rush. Lio Rush said that what Finn got from Brock is nothing compared to what Lashley will do to him.

Finn then replied by saying that he lasted a lot longer with Brock then Bobby did in the Royal Rumble match. That made Lashley furious and delivered Finn two chokeslams I believe? All I can say is that a Finn Balor having gold on his waist is a good thing.

Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins vs The Revival.

The Edgeheads reunite and they lost with a shatter machine from The Revival. This had potential but that was thrown off the God damn window.

Elias Concert.

WWE Photo
Elias was interrupted by Double JJ, Jeff Jarrett and Jarrett said that he has a problem with Elias now after what Elias did to him last night. Road Dogg came out and told him to Suck it. They (Dogg and Jarrett) decided to sing “With My Baby Tonight” to which Elias beat both Dogg and Jarrett. What bothered me about this was not the segment itself but rather was the fact that Elias turned heel with a roster that feels like they have so many heels than Babyfaces. Bad call from WWE in my opinion but who knows, I might change my mind.

After that segment, Mojo Rawley cut a promo in a room with a mirror in front from him. I really liked what WWE was doing with Mojo back in July of last year but it’s too little, too late for me but I’m hoping that’s not the case.

Natalya and Dana Brooke vs The Riott Squad.

WWE Photo
This was a quick one. The Riott Squad won the match with Liv Morgan did a roll up to Natalya.

Ronda Rousey’s Championship Open Challenge.

The Irish Lass Kicker has been hearing about The Baddest Woman on the Planet, but she reminds Rousey of when she dropped her on Monday Night Raw the last time she was there.
Man, the crowd is not a fan of Ronda (no shit, Omar). Anyways, Ronda finds out who her challenger is. That person is Bayley. The match itself was very good. Ronda Rousey Retained her championship with the armbar.

After Ronda showed her respect to Bayley, Becky Lynch came out to ring and Becky said that she told her she’s will find her way back to Ronda. She also said that Unlike Seth, she doesn’t have to think about her decision and she chose Ronda to break her mystique. And then Ronda cut a great promo and I’m not gonna explain it. Click here to watch the whole thing. I promise it’s all worth it. Man, can Wrestlemania come early?

Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre.

WWE Photo
By the end of the match, Baron Corbin interrupted the match ending the match with a DQ. After that, Braun absolutely manhandled both Drew and Corbin until outta nowhere Drew hit a Claymore Kick to Strowman to whose both Corbin and McIntyre delivered a double chokeslam to Strowman.

I’m really getting sick of Braun Strowman feuding with Baron Corbin. I understand that they’re giving them something to work with but that doesn’t mean it’s all good.

Seth Chooses Which Champion To Face At Wrestlemania.

WWE Photo
Brock Lesnar came out along with Paul Heyman to ring. Paul Heyman cut a promo basically saying that it’s easy to choose with two options and that option is Daniel Bryan because of Seth’s well being. Out came Seth and he wasted no time to fight Brock until Brock hits him with five F5s with one of them on the title.

Then Seth told Brock “is that all you got?” to which Brock hits him with another F5 and the show faded to black. Not a bad segment, it’s just this segment should’ve aired earlier in the show.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: opening segment, Ronda Rousey’s open challenge and what’s after it, The singing part in that Elias segment.

Didn’t like: Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins vs The Revival, Elias’ heel turn.

WWE Smackdown 21/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

Another week, another time Pat McAfee shows me why he's better than Corey Graves. Both in the ring AND on the commentary table.  As far as how I feel about this week's episode, it ain't good, people. It ain't good.  An Image via WWE.com   Sethy Mane Wanted A Tag Partner So….………. That he faces The Usos later in the show and if drippy Jesus wins, 2 out of 3 members of the Bloodline are barred off ringside in the blue title encounter (in case you were wondering, Kevin Owens was Seth's tag partner).  BUTTTTTTTTTTTT! The tribal chief had other ideas. He proposed a pitch where if the "burn it down" man loses the tag match, the Rumble match is gone, FINITO!  Bully Ray probably saw Seth Rollins' uttering Jox Moxley's name and reacted, "HOW DARE YOU!! BLASPHEMY!"  Fortunately for SR The Drip Mane, he got what he wanted via a DQ finish thanks to a superman punch from Roman Reigns. While the ending did protect the tag champs, the consequences of i...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...

WWE Smackdown 17/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

This recent instalment of Smackdown was decent.  The women, for the most part, was the standout in this program and it honestly carried the show from a meh to a decent watch.  The show started off with Jeff Hardy and Sheamus talking about the upcoming bar fight which you can scroll down to read my thoughts on it.  Sasha Banks and Bayley Gives Us A New Perspective Of The Word "Greatness".  The so-called "golden role models" were praising their greatness to which Nikki Cross was furious about the way she lost at Extreme Rules.  So, Nikki wanted a rematch for the SmackDown women's championship and Bayley accepted that bout if Nikki faces her best friend, Alexa Bliss to determine the number one contender.  That match started immediately after this segment and it was a good opener.  Bayley and Sasha Banks were entertaining in the commentary as per usual.  When Corey Graves brought the fact that Bayley didn't want t...
