The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Is Here, A Fantastic TNT Championship Match.

AEW’s New Year’s Smash night 2 is not a bad show. However, it wasn’t enough to be the better show of the night because NXT DELIVERED in my opinion. The main reason?  Well, it was, of course, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. NXT’s (or WWE for that matter) biggest weakness is their tag team division so It’s nice to see some showcase of diverse teams.  I’m hoping they keep that momentum after the tournament but we shall see.  some images via WWE.com NXT   Highlights.  A Possible Finn Balor vs Pete Dunne Bout!?  The reason why I wrote that headline above is that they had a bit of verbal interaction in the segment following the LeRae and Blackheart match which led to a brawl between Balor, Dunne, Lorcan and Burch, Kylie O'Reilly and his UE members.  I'm not gonna lie, if this is where Finn's championship goes from here, I'm all in.  Grizzled Young Veterans vs Ever-Rise. Dusty Tag Team Classic Tournament. The Grizzled Young Veterans advanced to t...

A Brief Guide To Pro Wrestling Websites.

So. You just become a fan of pro wrestling and have dabbled into the fandom for a bit (it's a mess ain't it?) You've just followed some news sites' social media platforms but aren't sure whether the articles they put out are accurate or not.  Well, you got the right guy to solve that problem if it's from a blog that barely gets any traction (that would be me in case you were confused).  The news we get from the medium that is pro wrestling is an integral part of the online space.  The reason being is that it's not only a great conversation starter but you could also learn something new today about the industry you love.  That doesn't mean that all of the news you see on the timeline is reliable.  I'm here to hopefully give you a guide to wrestling sites.  There are many wrestling websites out there but I wanna highlight some of the notable ones.  Okay? Here we go.  #1: Wrestling Observer Newsletter aka F4WOnline.  I can't talk about a guide t...

WWE Smackdown 8/1/21 | A Coherent Review.

Another week, another enjoyable episode of Smackdown.  It's so good that at times, it's better than NXT which I would slap myself if I said that a few years ago.  Images via WWE.com Roman Reigns Blamed Adam Pearce For What?  The Universal champion himself, Roman Reigns, started off the program once again and this time, he talks about how he didn't want to hurt Kevin Owens because he cares about everybody in the locker room as the head of the table.  The champ called out Adam Pearce and Roman blamed Adam Pearce for not taking responsibility for his actions as a WWE official and how he has to do the work that Pearce doesn’t.  Roman then assumed that Adam Pearce insulted his family and proceeded to get physical (not that type of physical you f'ing weirdos) but Paul Heyman talked Reigns out of it.  I, like pretty much all of you, came out of watching this segment like, "Is WWE declaring Adam Pearce as the number one contender for the universal championship?"...

WWE RAW 4/1/21 | A Coherent Review.

What better way to kick off 2021 than by having Goldberg challenge THE WWE Champion at the Royal Rumble for the title, am I right?  I wanted to throw this piece of programming through the rubbish bin because this wasn't a good episode, I'll tell ya that much.  Images via WWE.com   The Racist Himself, Hulk Hogan, Started Off The Show By….  Repeating his catchphrase using smartphone and social media talk. Cool.  Miz TV. Special Guests, The New Day.   The New Day were pretty much annoying the living hell out of Miz but not John Morrison as he was engaged in the conversation. Out came Teddy Long and he was living the meme by telling Miz and Morrison that they're facing The Undertaka.  Not realizing that Undertaker ain't here, he decided to air his other well-known line.  A tag team match. This time, it features The Miz, Morrison and The New Day.  That Teddy Long bit was funny even though I can admit it was corny like most of the humour that ...

WWE Smackdown 1/1/2021 | A Coherent Review.

This is the first Smackdown of 2021 and my first review of 2021.  You wanna know the obvious part? It's actually good.  Images via WWE.com Everything Roman Reigns Touches Turns Into Greatness.  The tribal chief kicked off the new year with yet another fantastic dialogue work pretty much saying that the reason why he wears a golden glove for his matches is that everything he touches turns into greatness.  Out came Kevin Owens and after Reigns wanted Owens to leave because he's embarrassing the champion, Owens challenged Jey to a match.  I'm glad to see someone as talented as Kevin Owens being in a high profiled storyline for the biggest title of the blue brand.  Unfortunately, the past several months has treated the guy with a whole lotta nothing. As usual, Roman Reigns carried his segments with convincing promos but this one wasn't enough to make the latest segment of his great ya know?  Overall, it was a decent segment.  Big E vs King Corb...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: An Emotional And Fantastic Brodie Lee Tribute Show.

I know this is the Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays where I recap NXT and AEW Dynamite.  But, NXT was such a meh show that I had to only talk about a show that paid a great tribute to Jon Huber aka Mr Brodie Lee.  Yes, it is a cliche saying but it was everything that I wanted and more.  The show got me right in the feels, man.  Kudos to AEW for not only providing us with a great tribute show but as well as supporting Jon Huber's family.  AEW Highlights.  Pretty Much Everything. I usually write bullet point notes during a show but this one was an exception.  I put down my tablet and just watched the show without worrying about whether I wrote everything about the episode ya know?  You wanna know the highlight of the episode? Brodie Lee Jr aka -1. When he hit MJF with that kendo stick, I marked the F out man and if you guys have been a fan of mine, y'all know that I'm not a fan of the MJF character.  The opening match absolutely KICKED A**....
