The 5 News Week: Is Rey Mysterio RETIRING!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

The IIconics SUPPOSED to APPEAR at The Women's Royal Rumble!?

Admittedly, this piece of news is a week and a half old but you may think it isn't all that bad.

Well, because of how the wrestling news cycle moves faster than an MCU Disney Plus show, this story might as well be 5,000 years old.

From Fightful Selectrinos, the current Impact knockouts tag team champions were offered to be part of this year's stinker that was the Royal Rumble show, more specifically the women's Royal Rumble match but they refused.

Mustafa Ali Has A YEAR LEFT In His CONTRACT!?

My man Mustafa Ali be begging for his WWE release like Oliver Twist (can't blame the guy, I guess).

And kinda bad news I guess for the talented performer and a certified face of humanity because according to said Al Fightful Bin Select, Mustafa Ali has "well over a year into his contract, at least".

Bianca Carelli SIGNED with WWE!?

Representation is important in any industry, especially in professional wrestling.

So, it's great to see more POCs in the business, specifically, Italians.

From the man that once rap battled against Akon, Santino Marella, confirmed in an interview with JBL and Gerald Brisco's Stories With Bradshaw and Brisco that his daughter, Bianca Carelli has signed with world wrestling entertainment and will be at the performance center in 2 weeks.

Side note but JBL has a podcast now? What are the podcast topics include? Why bullying should be legal?

Mauro Ranallo Has A NEW SERIES COMING!?

We all can agree that Twitter is legitimately, a blue hell something that The Rock has warned us about for many years based on the number of times he's used the damn word.

One of the best things (wink, wink) about that darn website was Mauro Ranallo and his interactions with the fanbase.

And now, he's hosting a reality-based show coming out on March 16th called "Beyond The Edge" being aired on CBS and Paramount Plus, you know, the thing Star Trek Picard is in.

It's basically Survivor but celebrities (that is such a mid-2000s idea for a reality show, it's actually funny).

When is Rey Mysterio RETIRING?

Let's hear it from the man himself (from WrestlingInc):

"I think I’ll step back once I feel like my son is ready just to take off on his own,” “That would be really helpful for him. I’m hoping that it happens within this year. For him to branch out and take care of things on his own. I’ve had the opportunity to be on the same house shows as him, with me wrestling in a completely separate match and him wrestling by himself."

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy? Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

WWE Smackdown 16/7/21 | A Coherent Review.

Yay. Crowds are back which means *in the tone of BackStreet* What chants boys are back!  All lame jokes aside, it feels weird to see a full crowd once again in WWE programming.  It almost felt like it was a new invention and not something we've had for what it feels like an eternity now.  And WWE actually tried here because this episode was enjoyable as a whole.  Vinnie Mac with his uncreative, fickle a**, welcomed the most oppressed group (beside gamers) in human history aka wrestling fans to SmackDown.  Images via WWE.com Roman Reigns And The Usos vs Edge, Rey And Dominik Mysterio.  The live audience got electric for the Rated R superstar and I can't say that I blame them.  Speaking of the fans, they were into the bout until it ended via a roll-up from Jey Uso to Rey Mysterio. All 3 guys then attacked each other in a post-match beatdown but Edge stood tall in the end.  This is one of those bouts where the crowd made it into an 8 out of 10 instea...
