The 5 News Week: Companies INTERESTED In Bronson Reed!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

Vinnie Massaro On Training Cain Valesquez.

Vinnie Massaro is one of those performers in the business where you didn't know his fingers have shaped up some of the most well-known competitors.

One of those competitors is Dominik Mysterio's God son, Cain Valesquez.

During an Interview with Last Minute Wrestling Podcast's Frank Mandolini, Massaro described how he trained Velasquez:

"When I got him, he had like literally nothing so he didn't know anything about pro wrestling. I taught him a lot more of the basic stuff.

I showed him a couple of things here and there, some arm drags and stuff like that.

But, once he got to Mexico, I think he got in the ring with some of those Lucha guys.

He trained with some of the other wrestlers psycho-clown and they taught him some stuff like that."

Side note, Seeing two POCs talk about their culture in an era of Italianphobia content like Tony D'Angelo is bittersweet (by the way, that entire sentence was sarcasm but for real though).

(If you somehow found this site, for Allah's sake, PLEASE credit the transcript and the podcast itself).

Companies INTERESTED In Bronson Reed!?

The man that mutes a Hispanic woman every Monday, has reported on Fightful Select that Impact Wrestling are interested in Bronson Reed (or Jonah Rock as he's known within the independence scene) and NJPW has "made a big play" on bringing Reed in.

Talk about a guy that should've been at the very least, NXT champion.

While yes, he did win the North American championship but that reign lasted longer than That's 80 Show so.

Toxic Attractions' Jacy Jayne Probably Missing Halloween Havoc.

In some unfortunate injury news. The OG "wrestling review show starring a white dude that rants", Bryan Alvarez, stated on the Wrestling Observer Live a few days back that Toxic Attraction's Jacy Jayne's Halloween Havoc status is "unclear" following a bad fall during a triple threat match at this past week's episode of NXT even though she underwent a CT scan.

Like I always say in my injury report news, I wish Jacy Jayne nothing but the speediest of recoveries.

Quick Thoughts On Smackdown Yesterday.

Y'all thought that a draft would've executed a somewhat interesting program? Psst, gamer word, please!

There's no reason why the opening segment is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.

You know it's sad when Brock's beating to Adam Pearce is longer than Liv Morgan's few minutes of women's main event fame back in July.

And do not get me started on the Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch title exchange which has caused both women to actually argue with each other backstage.

That could've easily been avoided had they actually made the decision to have Sasha Banks win the Smackdown women's championship at Crown Jewel.

Shotzi Going To Be A HEEL!?

"ALL CAPS" Mike Johnson of PWInsider has noted that Shotzi is going to be presented as a heel on Smackdown given that the team of Shotzi and Tegan Nox are no more.

Why Shotzi as a heel? Well, if there's one thing I've learned from the creative and clearly, risk-taking title exchange segment is that Vinnie Mac knows what he's doing.

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy? Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
