AEW Dynamite 19/5/21 | A Coherent Review.

AEW Dynamite was, as per usual, GOOD! GOOD! GOOD!

Christian Cage vs Matt Sydal.

I'll never get tired of humming Christian Cage's theme song. Yes, it's basically an instrumental of Evanescence's My Last Breath but it is still one of my favourite theme songs of all time.

It's a rarity that a wrestler I appreciate, has two different theme songs from different companies that I love equally.

Anywho, that opening match ruled which isn't surprising given that they have a bit of history together.

After Christian defeated Matt Sydal with the kill switch, Ricky Starks brought the rest of Taz's crew to the ring and they attacked both competitors in the opening match.

Hangman Page came to the rescue however, he was taken down with a chop block from Taz's son, Hook.

All I can say is, Ricky Starks won my fandom ever since his Darby Allin impressions.

The Varsity Blondes cut a solid promo regarding the Young Bucks and how they're not the same Young Bucks they've met back in 2018.

The Acclaimed vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.

Aye yo. My man Max Caster needs to f**king chill with his pre-match diss tracks. The dude's roasting game is to quote Vegeta, "OVER 9000!" He's already one of my favourites right now.

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston came out yet again with "Wild Thing" by The Troggs. With the amount of licensed music AEW is using, it sure convinces me that Tony Khan is flexing his big bucks and I don't blame him.

A decent promo from Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky led to a brawl with Sting and Darby Allin. Meh.

While dining out, The Pinnacle proposed a challenge to the Inner Circle at Double Or Nothing in a Stadium Stampede match.

The highlight of this scene was after Shawn Spears assaulted the waiter, MJF with his hand venture, told Spears to calm down.

You know this scene hits different when MJF is the nicer one of the group.

Hikaru Shida vs Rebel.

The match ended via a DQ due to a vicious assault by Britt Baker.

I'm looking forward to this match simply because they've always had fantastic matches together.

Their match at the April 8th, 2020 episode of Dynamite was one of my favourite matches of that year.

Kenny Omega and Don Callis offered Orange Cassidy a contract which states that he's forfeiting the AEW world championship.

They tried to persuade Cassidy to sign the contract and Cassidy's response was him tearing up the contract.

Did The Inner Circle Accept the Pinnacle's Challenge?

Pretty much, yes. The stipulation that if The Inner Circle loses then they disband, adds a bit of stakes in the Stadium Stampede bout and I like it.

During Jade Cargill's promo with Tony Schiavone, she was encountered by an advocate/manager saying that he wants to put her stardom to the next level.

Cargill doesn't need that loser. She's great with no need for an in-ring manager.

Serena Deeb vs Red Velvet For The NWA Women's Championship.

This match reminds me of how good Red Velvet is inside the squared circle. What a match that was. Serena Deeb retains with a half Boston crab.

Anthony Ogogo vs Austin Gunn.

This was all Ogogo thanks to his series of gut punches from the big man.

Based on that awful promo from Cody and Anthony Ogogo's Twitter interactions, it sure does seem that Anthony Ogogo is the good guy in the feud instead of the other way around.

Miro Thanks Jesus Christ For Giving The Big Man Strength.

That line above sounded something that AJ Styles would say. Nevertheless, he told the world what Miro is capable of.

Out came Lance Archer and Archer said that he'll make Miro his Bulgarian b*tch at Double Or Nothing.

An okay segment that didn't "wow" me or anything. Miro's booking has been excellent though and it was better late than never.

The Young Bucks vs The Varsity Blondes For The AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The Varsity Blondes have worked with guys like Kenny Omega to great results.

It's amazing that two talented guys are finally getting a shine in the main event which has to be a special moment for Pillman Jr and Garrison. I enjoyed this championship contest for the most part.

The Young Bucks retained to which Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston attacked The Young Bucks and stole their awful-looking Nike shoes.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The Young Bucks vs The Varsity Blondes For The AEW World Tag Team Championship, Serena Deeb vs Red Velvet For The NWA Women's Championship, Max Caster rules, Christian Cage vs Matt Sydal.

Didn't like: Nothing really.

My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Three Big Returns, A Great Inaugural Women's Championship Match.

If you have been a fan of this site since January, then you'll know that I've completely rebooted my review process and now, I'm doing that again.  Don't worry, the format for my RAW, Smackdown and PPV reviews will still be the same but not on Wednesdays. So, here it is, My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays.  NXT The Highlights. Adam Cole vs Matt Riddle For The NXT Championship.  A match that opened this episode of the yellow brand, the original bro and the leader of The Undisputed Era tore the house down.  Whether it's Cole reversing the fireman's carry from Riddle into a backstabber, Cole hitting a Panama sunrise twice, a floating bro or the crowd chanting "Adam Cole, bro", it was a visual statement by NXT that the yellow brand is THE brand to watch.  Unfortunately,  Riddle felt short and ate the last shot but there was another highlight I wanna talk about….. Finn Balor Returns To N. X. T.  It's not a typo my friends, Finn ...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...
