The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Britt Baker Be SPITTING In Her Promo, Shawn Michaels On NXT.

Both episodes were so good that it was hard to pick my preferred show of the week.

So, my pick for show of the night is NXT and AEW Dynamite because why not, right?

NXT

Highlights.

Dakota Kai And Raquel Gonzalez vs Io Shirai And Zoey Stark.

Zoey Stark being in the women's championship scene in her young NXT tenure is odd yet I don't hate it. She was in my opinion, the highlight of the match.

A fun opening tag match.

Raquel led her partner Dakota Kai to victory with a modified chokeslam of some sort to which she nailed the same move to Io Shirai on the announce table.

I felt my back just by watching that spot.

Tommaso Ciampa challenged Walter To A NXT UK Championship Match At Takeover: Stand And Deliver.

Walter accepted the challenge and his Imperium stable gave Ciampa a 3 on 1 beating.

"Is this another match you're looking forward to, Omar?" You Goddamn right!

Shawn Michaels Gave Santos Escobar And Jordan Devlin An Certain Stipulation To Crown An Undisputed Cruiserweight Champion.

"Why is this in the highlights section?"

Well, it's because it was a great call back to Shawn Michaels' feud with Razor Ramon that was contested in a ladder match at Wrestlemania 10 to crown an undisputed Intercontinental champion. DUHHHH!

What Happened To Kylie O'Reilly And Adam Cole In Their Contract Signing For Their Match At Takeover: Stand And Deliver?

They tried to brawl but that was prevented thanks to some security guards.

If you've been a wrestling fan for a minute then you'll know that security guards are as effective as Gal Gadot's acting.

The WWE Network exclusive video after the episode showed that they took out the security including a forearm strike from Adam Cole onto William Regal.

I can't wait for this match to take place at Takeover: Stand And Deliver.

The match card for both nights is shaping up to be an enjoyable two days of pure pro wrestling action.

Some Other Things That Happened.

LA Knight lost to Bronson Reed - A surprising move by the yellow brand to give LA Knight's first NXT match in years a loss.

I get that they're building a number one contender’s battle royal match for the North American championship but It's a confusing, head-scratching decision to have a debuting star eat a pinfall.

Finn Balor Confronts Karrion Kross - After Karrion Kross defeated Oney Lorcan, Finn Balor addressed his challenger face to face, telling the guy to control his emotions which I don't know what he meant by that.

I'm looking forward to this bout. It's a shame that the build for this was mid.

Ember Moon And Shotzi Blackheart defeated Mercedes Martinez And Aliyah for The NXT Women's Tag Team Championship - Yo, I forgot Mercedes Martinez was even on the roster, to be honest.

AEW

Highlights.

Britt Baker Be SPITTING In Her Promo.

Baker’s line about her taking one night to be known as THE hardcore legend while it took Mick Foley 20 years to earn that moniker was everything. Can she get a women’s world championship opportunity, please AEW?

Kenny Omega vs Matt Sydal.

That match absolutely RULLLLLLLED. The man formerly known as Evan Bourne was on par with the AEW champion and unfortunately for Sydal, he lost the bout with a one-winged angel.

Darby Allin vs John Silver For The TNT Championship.

A really fun main event encounter for the TNT belt.

Allin picked up the victory to which Matt Hardy attacked Allin from behind.

Hardy's Posse and Dark Order brawled because you can't end an episode of Dynamite without a huge brawl apparently.

Well wishes to John Silver as his shoulder is hurting. Hoping it's not that serious.

The Young Bucks And Brandon Cutler lost to Lucha Brothers And Laredo Kid.

This was a solid 6 man bout. Kenny Omega "tried to help his friend" by attacking Laredo Kid.

Kenny Omega was bothered that he chose Brandon Cutler as the Jackson brothers' tag partner instead of him because of their friendship.

Omega gave the Bros a choice, it's either he or Cutler and The Young Bucks walked out which led to a double superkick from Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix.

Omega's ego is reaching TO THE MOOOOOON! All "jokes" aside,  I like Kenny Omega's promo. It actually made me look at his words going, "he's right. He did leave Japan and rejected WWE for AEW".  In other words, it's one of those "they're a d**k but I get the reasoning".

Some Other Things That Happened.

Hangman Page defeated Cezar Bononi - It was fine.

The Varsity Blondes In Griff Grasson And Brian Pillman And Dante Martin lost to The Pinnacle In Shawn Spears And FTR -  Meh. By the way, I like the name "Pinnacle" for MJF's new stable.

FTR then cut a passionate promo about how the Pinnacle is more than just a group. They're a family.

QT Marshall Asked Cody Rhodes For An Exhibition Between Them Next Week - Why? It's because he wants to prove to the Nightmare family and the world that he's really good in the ring.

Cody showed up and he accepted the exhibition but told the guy that he'll do whatever it takes to win. Should be a decent match.

Nyla Rose lost to Tay Conti - A decent contest from two talented pro wrestlers.

The question is, what are some of the highlights of both episodes in your opinion? Let me know in the comments below and follow me on Twitter @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Did NXT Just Delivered Their Best Go Home Show!?, A Fantastic AEW Dynamite Main Event.

Did I just witness the best NXT go home show ever?  The answer my friends is yes.  While I prefer NXT this week, AEW Dynamite wasn't bad either and a big step up compared to the series of bore-fest shows they produced.  NXT   Highlights.  Msk vs Legado De La Fantasma. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament SemiFinals.  God damn. What a way to start off the NXT before Vengeance Day.  Unique offensives from Msk is why that tag team is growing on me pretty quickly.  And luckily for them, they advance to the finals which will be conducted at Takeover: Vengeance Day with a double team manoeuvre.  Xia Li Continues To Dominate.  I've been a fan of whatever NXT is doing with this angle and it's mainly because they're embracing the cinematic scripted nature of the business which is what some consider "unrealistic" for some reason.  And yet, they don't mind The Undertaker shooting lightning-like Static Shock at Royal Rumble 2006 but he...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...
