Let's Talk About The State Of Wrestlemania 37.

I usually save those kinds of pieces for my weekly news series, The 5 News Week due to how modern this subject is and how my essays usually dwell on the past.

Usually, it is too early to talk about an upcoming Wrestlemania in October but not this time especially since we're still in a pandemic.

This is a topic I've been thinking about all month and I had to write my thoughts on it.

Let's answer this question right away whether Wrestlemania 37 will happen in SoFii stadium next year?

The answer is an obvious no. But, I want to try to dig deeper and see exactly where we stand today.

As of me writing this, Wrestlemania: Hollywood edition is still scheduled to take place in SoFi stadium despite an outlet that shall not be named, claiming otherwise.

This is either sheer blind optimism or downright idiotic from Dubya, Dubya E.

WrestleVotes did mention back in July that while the event is still going to take place in the stadium, the company "would like a decision from the state of CA" regarding large gatherings.

Recently, there have been speculations about the 37th instalment of Wrestlemania possibly moving (Cagesideseats).

To extend more on that rumour, Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes reported on October 2 that Wrestlemania 37 might move to the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

Yes, the same place that was supposed to host Wrestlemania 36.

This raises a bigger question that is not only wrestling related but as well as sports and concerts.

When are we ever going to see a sold-out stadium show again?

According to the Florida men in government, any day now.

In all seriousness, probably later 2021 or even early 2022 because of the obvious fact that cases are still rising.

Especially since we're currently in the fall season.

A name you've probably heard of, Dr Anthony Fauci brought up a good point about the challenges of dealing with the virus in the fall-winter season (from CNN):

"You don't want to enter into the fall and winter with a community spread at that level," Fauci told the editor-in-chief of the Journal of American Medical Association in an online conversation Friday. "Because if you do, you got a difficult situation that's going to be really challenging."

Another factor I'll like to bring up as to why we're not going to witness a big crowd in a stadium any time soon is anxiety.

In case you don't know how to spell the word.

A technology-marketing website, martechtoday, published a survey about how 66% of marketers would only attend virtual/online conferences or events unless there's a COVID-19 vaccine in place.

This is an issue that isn't just exclusive to marketers (no sh*t, Omar).

TIME Magazine published a piece on June 11th detailing a man from Texas named Dan Kerber and how he began to get anxious after the state started to reopen their economy in May.

By the way, Kerber stated in the article that he hasn’t struggled with anxiety before.

This is understandable as I get anxious whenever I go to a supermarket that is mostly crowded with some not even wearing a mask.

So, the anxiety aspect is extremely important to bring up.

One last factor that plays into all of this is, of course, MONEY!

The pandemic has made entities including WWE lose a sh*t ton of money.

This year's Wrestlemania took around a $20 to 23 million loss according to Wrestlenomics' Brandon Thurston. (from Wrestling Inc).

They also broke the highest-grossing WWE live event ever with $17.3 million for Wrestlemania 32 aka the second-worst Wrestlemania of all time.

This is just pure speculation but if world wrestling entertainment will enter Los Angeles (Inglewood to be exact) this coming Wrestlemania, they would've probably broken the all-time record again.

Because of one main reason.

Los Angeles is a tourist hotspot and I'm sure you guys will tell the story of how you visited Hollywood to your grandkids one day.

It will also break the all-time record for LA traffic.

However, that ain't happening because you know why.

Well, that was a long one. Thank you so much for reading the whole thing.

If you have any thoughts about this, just type in the comments below.  Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
