The 5 News Week: WWE Upset At The Brodie Lee Segment!?, Vince McMahon Assumes Fans Leave Certain Plot Holes!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.

WWE Upset At The Brodie Lee Segment!?

Backstage Notes On Brodie Lee's AEW Debut

On last week's edition of this very series, I talked about how the reveal of the exalted one, Brodie Lee was the original plan to lead the dark squad. Well, we got a different Brodie Lee story in the form of WWE angry at a particular segment.

So, what was the segment? If you haven't watched this past week's AEW Dynamite episode then basically, Brodie Lee had dinner with his followers in Alex Reynolds and John Silver.

The main highlight of this segment was when Lee was upset at John Silver for eating the steak before him among other things that angered him such as when Sliver sneezed and Lee was absolutely livid. So, why would WWE be angry at a wrestling segment from another pro wrestling company?

There were stories in the past in which Vince hated when somebody sneezed as well as the fact that he hated someone that eats after him. Hmmm?  If you believe what Dave Meltzer said in Wrestling Observer Radio with Bryan Alvarez (from sescoops), Meltzer said that scene was a dig at Vince McMahon and WWE didn't take that lightly.

That Vince McMahon easter egg in that segment went over my head like damn I'm an idiot! Am I the only one? Just me? Okay.

Reason Why Murphy Wasn't On RAW This Past Week.

Murphy Says He's Learning a Lot From Seth Rollins, Talks Working ...

According to PWINSIDER and Mike Johnson, the reason why the former RAW tag champ didn't show up on RAW is that Murphy "was not clear to appear".

He's currently not scheduled to appear on Wrestlemania 36 tapings. I don't know specifically what he isn't clear for but we will find out soon.

Vince McMahon Assumes Fans Leave Certain Plot Holes!?

Vince McMahon: All His WWE Controversies And Legal Troubles | True ...

Crafting a story with continuity can be a challenge and to those who've managed to do that on top of making that piece of content enjoyable to watch is something to be praised for in my opinion.

Leaving that continuity out of the equation can lead to a narrative mess if the story is not good (I'm looking at you, Fox X-men movies).

But sometimes, sacrificing continuity for a well-told story is worth it as in this case, Vince McMahon tried to do that by having the audience ignore certain plot holes according to what Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio quote (from superluchas):

"Part of this internal problem in WWE is because Vince McMahon doesn't have a very good memory, and he hopes the fan base will forget certain holes in the stories."

Here's my take. When there's a cool concept and that concept makes no sense then it is worth the risk for the enjoyment of the fans. However, That doesn't mean a concept will be executed properly though.

I could see some fans be upset at Vince for that and I get it but when you step into the creator's mind, leaving out certain plot points can either be beneficial or hurt the story they're telling so it's really a tough choice to make.

An Update On Rezar's Injury.

www.wwe.com/f/styles/og_image/public/all/2019/0...

2 weeks back, Rezar suffered an injury, a torn bicep due to a crossbody he took from Montez Ford during an 8 man tag between himself, his fellow partners in Akam, Seth Rollins, Murphy vs The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders on RAW.

According to, you guessed it, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Rezar is getting surgery and it is believed that an injury like that will have a 6 to 8 months recovery time.

His tag partner, Akam just came back to in-ring action like months back from knee surgery. I feel so sorry for those guys. Hopefully, Rezar makes a speedy recovery.

WWE Network Releases The Uncensored Versions Of The Broken Skull Sessions.

Stone Cold's Next Broken Skull Sessions Guest Revealed, Canvas 2 ...

It is natural of Stone Cold Steve Austin to drop in a crap ton of F-bombs and other curse words so for WWE to censor it just doesn't feel right especially in his own show.

Apparently, WWE had a change of heart because the company has announced that they're releasing uncensored episodes of the Broken Skull Sessions on the WWE network.

Given that the network is currently free, this is a definite must-watch for those who haven't seen the show and you're getting additional benefit of hearing Stone Cold along with his guests, cursing left and right. Oh, Hell YEAHHH!!

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown 4/2/22 | A Coherent Review.

Gotta be honest guys, this episode didn't do it for me.  Besides the announcement of Ronda Rousey challenging Charlotte Flair for the blue women's belt at Wrestlemania as well as another challenge proposed by Goldberg aka NoBerg to the tribal chief, this, like last week's show, was as skippable as an anime filler episode.  Paul Heyman Was Like, "F**k That Brock Guy!"  Brock and Paul legit need some counselling because they've broken up and reunited together like my relationship with the Call of Duty franchise. To quote Gordon Ramsey, "DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!"  All lame banter aside, Paul Heyman's promos before Goldberg's appearance was the only good thing throughout the entire show.  As far as how I feel about the idea of Goldberg facing Roman Reigns at the upcoming Elimination Chamber show, major Ls on this one.   Ricochet vs Ridge Holland.  Yay, the "one on one match that later turned into a tag match" cliche. The difference is t...
