WWE Smackdown 22/2/20 | My Coherent Review.

Friday is the 6th day of the week (OMG, really?) and while it is a start to a hopefully fun and fulfilled weekend, Friday is also the day that Smackdown airs which is a wrestling program that is a current face of the word "mediocrity."

This episode was no exception to the word "mediocrity" and because of that, I'm not going to talk about everything that happened but rather a few noteworthy things to talk about.

I will give some credit to the blue brand for at least progressing storylines like the women's title scene and Otis' love story. Now, on with the short review.

The Bella Twins' Hall Of Fame Class Of 2020 Is Now Made Official.

Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice's overall fan divisiveness is nothing compared to this announcement and even the rumours of them going into the hall of fame. Enough about them, how do I feel about it?

Honestly, neutral. For years, I've not been this invested as to who goes in the hall of fame as much as the rest. It's something that I don't get worked up about.

Would it be great if one of my favourite performers gets a hall of fame induction? Heck yes but I don't get angry when a superstar I'm not a fan of, does get the induction instead.

One of the things that I appreciate about The Bella Twins is that they've found a way to adapt with the times whether it was the PG Divas Era where every women's wrestler got minimum 3 minutes of screen time in their early run or when WWE started the "women's revolution" or the "women's evolution" (make up your damn mind) and wrestled in 10 or 20-minute matches in their later run.

It is a shame though that Brie Bella's last few months with the company terms of in-ring work wasn't good but looking back, Brie Bella tried her best to entertain and it wasn't executed properly, unfortunately.

Their "twin magic" gimmick made them stand out amongst the rest of the division at that time especially as the antagonists when they would use it to you guessed it, win matches. In the world of only "thumbs up" or "thumbs down", I'm giving it a thumbs up but I'm not enthusiastic as the Bella Army are.

Goldberg Meets The Fiend In Person.

This entire build for the Universal championship match at Super showdown was short and lacklustre at the same time. I will say that I'm very curious as to how this match will be constructed.

Who do I think wins this one? I'm going with The Fiend but I wouldn't be surprised if Bill wins this match. If Goldberg wins which would've been a mistake, in my opinion, I would be lying if a Goldberg vs Roman Reigns match is not at least, intriguing to me.

Bayley vs Naomi At Super Showdown Is Happening.

The Naomi vs Carmella match wasn't mind-blowing but I was surprised that Naomi was going to face Bayley so soon given that I thought WWE was saving that match for Wrestlemania 36.

I don't think that a triple threat match between Carmella, Naomi and Bayley would happen as another women's match over at the yellow brand for the NXT women's championship match between Charlotte, Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair is becoming more of a possibility.

Will have to wait and see where the SmackDown side of the women's division brings to Wrestlemania.

That is all folks. Sound off in the comments below on what do you think about this week's episode of Friday Night Smackdown? Follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions and stay safe smarks.

The 5 News Week: An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom, Fans Singing Petitions For Charlotte Flair Not Winning Titles Anymore!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom.  Yes. After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...

Wrestling With Whiteness | A Documentary Sorely Needed.

Here's the thing. My 2 viewers will know that I've been a wrestling fan for 15 plus years but what they do not know is that I've been a Somali (aka a Black Muslim person) my entire life so talking about this documentary is going to be a little more personal, to say the least.  And look, I know this is the part where I insert my usual wit and fart jokes but you're not gonna see less of that because this is a serious topic (and you know it's serious when I mentioned my ethnicity) about representation and the shared struggle across every single black performer featured in this documentary.  From the press release, Wrestling With Whiteness "focuses on sharing the stories of Black folx and their experience in the wrestling community. Using a combination of interviews with Black wrestlers and Black content creators, Wrestling With Whiteness uncovers the unique experiences of Black people in the industry and the rise of representation for performers and fans around th...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...
