WWE NXT 18/9/19 | My Coherent Review.

The first and the upcoming NXT TV episodes with an hour added to it and was it any good? Honestly, it was great. Really liked how they implemented NXT, NXT UK and 205 Live.

The only thing I could critique is that the pacing was a bit off but I'm sure that Triple H and the rest of the creative team will handle that in the near future.

There was a different intro narrated by Triple H basically putting NXT over which was great.

Io Shirai vs Bianca Belair vs Mia Yim vs Candice Lerae. Winner Gets To Face Shayna Baszler For The NXT Women's Championship.

WWE Photo
Mia Yim at one point, hits the toe pay suicida (yes, I pronounced it that way sue me) Mamma Mia to most of the competitors and then, The genius of the sky does something genius in her element with a moonsault on everybody (that first line made no sense Omar, what is wrong with you?).

The match ended with a reverse hurricanrana and a springboard moonsault to become the number one contender for the NXT women's championship. Don't be surprised if Io Shirai or Rhea Ripley gets involved in the title match in two weeks on NXT TV. Overall a very fun opening match.

Afterwards, there were hype promos played for the North American Championship match after the Cameron Grimes match, Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain match in a street fight and Keith Lee's feud with Dominic Djakovic.

Cameron Grimes vs Sean Maluta.

That match lasted for a very, very, very short time. Grimes won the match with a running stomp.

Velveteen Dream vs Roderick Strong For The NXT North American Championship.

WWE Photo
During this championship match, Roderick Strong threw Velveteen Dream on the barricade right on the Dreams ribs. The messiah of the backbreaker delivers you guessed it, a backbreaker in a near fall.

Strong reversed a sharpshooter from the Velveteen Dream but he would encounter a push from Dream which landed Strong on the steel steps. The dream then hits the Dream DT but that wasn't enough to end the Undisputed Era's prophecy.

An Undisputed ERA-aided distraction allowed Strong to connect with The End of Heartache, but it wasn't enough to put Dream away.

Roderick Strong delivered the sitout powerbomb followed by a Boston crab and out came the rest of the Undisputed Era to distract Velveteen Dream which was successful because Roderick Strong hits the end of heartache twice and became the North American champion.

This is what NXT has been building up for several months now and it was worth the wait. I'm very curious as to where this goes from here. The match was decent but not amazing in my opinion.

Pete Dunne vs Arturo Ruas.

WWE Photo
This is where the second hour hits (No shit, Omar) and while this was a cooling-off match, it was decent for what it was.

Dunne ate a series of Muay Thai kicks from Ruas but Dunne locks in a modified armbar while bending Ruas' fingers and the bruiserweight won the match.

Xia Li vs Aliyah.

WWE Photo
This was aight. Xia Li won the match with a spinning kick of some sort after Aliyah got a roundhouse kick.

Kushida vs Denzel Dejournette.

Imperium's Alexander Wolfe, Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel arrived on the scene and had other plans.
Denzel's coming out with a house party (the movie) like theme song but Marcel Barthel, Fabian Aichner and Alexander Wolfe didn't like it or at least they beat up Denzel so that the WWE UK champion in Walter shows up which that's exactly what happened.

Despite a numbers disadvantage, Kushida evaded the attacks of Wolfe, Aichner and Barthel.

Walter cut a promo saying that they what to honour the industry that is pro wrestling. Kushida came out and he challenges Walter to a match for the UK title and then a quick brawl happened. Kushida vs Walter? Where's a petition I can sign for this match to happen even though petitions don't mean crap but that's a different topic.

Oney Lorcan vs Lio Rush. Cruiserweight championship Number One Contenders Match.

Lio Rush and Oney Lorcan tussled in a back-and-forth battle with the winner receiving a WWE Cruiserweight Championship opportunity.
Good to see Lio Rush back in-ring action. This match kicked off with quick rights and a neckbreaker from Lorcan but Rush kicked out. Lorcan then locks in the half Boston crab on Rush but Rush barely escaped. Lio delivered a stunner to Lorcan but Lorcan went back to the half Boston crab.

A beautiful looking sitting Spanish fly and a splash later and he becomes the number one contender for the cruiserweight championship. That was fun to watch. A great match and what a way for Lio Rush to come back with a great match. That is impressive.

Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain In A Street Fight.

The brawl quickly progressed out of the ringside area and toward backstage.
They brawled outside the night but then, Walter and his buddies came out to help him but then The Street Profits and the rest of the NXT roster came out for a fight to which that's exactly what happened.

Chaos ensued and the show faded to back. What a way to end this episode. Whatever that was, it was awesome *claps several times*, it was awesome *claps several times*.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The ending, Lio Rush vs Oney Lorcan, Kushida's interaction with Walter, the fatal four-way women's championship number one contender's match.

Didn't like: Pacing was a bit off.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE Wrestlemania 37 Night 2 | A Coherent Review.

The second and final night of Wrestlemania 37 was to quote a popular word, "mid".  A few good wrestling matches were the highlight of the night but even then, it didn't stand out as hard as some of the matches the previous night.  ( Check out the review of night 1 here ).  Images via WWE.com The hosts of this year's Wrestlemania made their presence once again and the Hulkster was booed out of the building. That is awesome to hear #F**kHulkHogan.  Randy Orton vs "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. Randy Orton with white trunks just doesn't feel right to me but it is what it is, I guess.  The Fiend's entrance looked f'ing cool even though the dude has healing powers now like he's Katara from the Last Airbender or some sh*t.  Oh, and the stupid red lights are back! I'm so, so, so, so happy! Just when I thought that WWE got rid of the stupid red lights last year.   Alexa Bliss kinda looked like Senua From the Hell Blade game with the black liquid dripped...

WWE Wrestlemania: Backlash 2021 | A Coherent Review.

Wrestlemania: Backlash or as I like to call it, Backlashimania, gets an enthusiastic thumbs up for me. I enjoyed the hell out of this PPV overall.  Images via WWE.com The opening intro was narrated by the greatest of all time, Batista and it was straight badass despite the fact it was pretty much a promotion for Zack Snyder's new film, Army Of The Dead.  If you've read my about page, then you'll know that I ain't talking about Zack Snyder movies because his fans are…… never mind.  Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair vs Asuka For The RAW Women's Championship.  Charlotte with the Cruella De Vil inspired ring gear was to quote Dolph Ziggler's old theme song, "perfection". The opening bout was fast-paced, high octane action that didn't have a slow/dull moment.  All of these women utilized quick grapples and strikes to their advantage.  Charlotte was this close to capturing the title but she was pushed to the outside, nailed the riptide to Asuka and that...
