Some News I Guess: Who's Idea Was On Bringing Vic Joseph And Dio Maddin On Commentary?

Image result for raw
I decided given that it's a slow news week, to give you some news that happened in the world of pro wrestling (three WWE news is not the equivalent of that but okay though). So, technically it's the 3 news week which doesn't have the same ring to it as the 5 news week.

WWE The Bump? What Is That!?

Honestly, I've asked myself the same question like a few days ago after looking a headline that says "WWE The Bump Is Coming" or something like that. To give you the full story, WWE has filed a trademark on Sept 16th called "WWE's The Bump" with a description that was given to the United States Patent And Trademark Office:

"A show about professional wrestling; the production and exhibition of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing wrestling news and information through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing information in the fields of professional wrestling through broadcast media including television and distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; providing a website in the field of professional wrestling"

After the old school way of putting a bunch of words on autocorrect was revealed, the WWE Bump's twitter account posted 4 audition blooper videos from 4 different personalities which you can click here to check them out. I later found out that this program is kinda different? Here's how PWInsider and Mike Johnson describe this show:

"PWInsider.com is told that The Bump will be a morning talk-show style series that will debut on Wednesday morning 10/2 featuring discussion of WWE-centric topics."

WWE's The Bump will air this coming Wednesday on WWE's various social media platforms. So, there you go. Now you know what the show is all about and if your wrestling buddy doesn't then share this article.

I'm going to check it out because based on reading PWInsider's description, the show sounds like a wrestling equivalent of AMC Movie Talk or something.

Whose Idea Was On Giving Vic Joseph And Dio Maddin The RAW Commentary Team Spots?

We all read the news that the commentary teams for the red and blue brand got a complete reboot but we don't know who suggested this makeover until now at least for the RAW commentary team.

From Jerry Lawler and his interview with Commercial appeal, the idea of bringing on Vic Joseph And Dio Maddin was Paul Heyman's idea. I'll let the king tell you everything:

"It was (Raw's executive director) Paul (Heyman's) idea to put Vic and Dio on Raw, Apparently, what I was told, Vince (McMahon) said, 'You can't throw these two new, young guys on our flagship show. Call King.' That's how it happened."

Adam Cole Suffered An Injury!?

The final news from a very slow news week comes from an injury report coming to you by Dave Meltzer in his Daily News Update and not on the Observer.

Meltzer said that the leader of Undisputed Era was pulled out of the NXT Midwest live tour due to a coast in his right wrist.

We don't know the severity of his injury but according to a medical site called "Coastal Orthopedics", depending on the severity, the recovery time is anywhere from 6 to 24 weeks but keep in mind that we don't know what type of wrist injury Cole has.

With that being said, Adam Cole is scheduled to face Matt Riddle for the NXT Championship this coming Wednesday so we will probably see the updates to this story sooner rather than later.

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE RAW 9/5/22 | A Coherent Review.

Yes, I didn't review Wrestlemania Backlash because one, I knocked out after a long day and two, why not? I did watch the show and it's like an episode of a Telltale game in that it's short and sweet.  How was the red brand this week?  Even though Wrestlemania Backlash is over, it still feels like I'm watching a build toward that show. It's like eating yesterday's leftovers with some fresh salad on the side, ya know. I'm hoping Hell In A Cell concludes everything.  The Street Profits vs RKBRO For The RAW Tag Team Championship.  Hey, look. A good tag team match, playas! Yes, they've fought each other more times than Call Of Duty sequels but like I said, I enjoyed it. RKBRO retained the championship with an RKO from Riddle to Montez Ford.  Rhea Ripley Is Now An Evil Goth Girl.  She said, "f**k them, kids". Also, why's Edge rocking the "I believe in white genocide" look? Ripley had a match with Liv Morgan and of course, she won the w...

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...
