WWE RAW 18/8/19 | My Coherent Review.

Image result for king of the ring 2010
I'm back on my bs and don't worry people. On Saturday, I've caught up with RAW and Smackdown Live so I know what's going on. If you're new here, I basically took the week off last week of reviewing wrestling shows for personal reasons.

Now, what do I think about Monday Night RAW this week? I have a lot of nitpicks however, it was decent to me filled with little things that I really like.

Roman Reigns vs Dolph Ziggler.

WWE Photo
Before this match kicked off, Dolph Ziggler cut a promo basically stating the "I'm suffering greater than you" sentence that somebody you know said it at one point and decided to superkick the big dog.

The match was very good though. Roman Reigns won the match by a devastating yet beautiful looking spear.

The King's Court. Special Guest, Sasha Banks.

WWE Photo
Jerry Lawler replaced Corey Graves in commentary and he was pretty tolerable at to say the least but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the King's Court segment and it goes like this.

Becky Lynch said in an early video promo about how Sasha Banks' nothing more a quitter and how she's the hottest thing right now because of Becky. She ended the promo by saying that she's gonna give Banks something to cry about.

That was a good promo like really good and I don't know if it's just me but it feels like she's the only babyface in this company that feels different and not the typical face. Yes, she has a Stone Cold like personality but she's a great babyface and that promo proves it.

WWE Photo
Jerry Lawler talked about the King Of The Ring Tournament for minutes after he introduced his guest in Sasha Banks but he didn't do that because "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt came out and choked out Lawler with the mandible claw. Vic Joseph of 205 Live replaces Lawler's place which he was pretty decent.

Other than Bray showing up, this segment was a waste of the most valuable thing other than money and that's time.

Can they at least have Sasha come out and then deliver the arrival of "The Fiend" instead of Jerry talking about the king of the ring tournament considering that she got an interview later that night? That was really an odd choice by WWE.

Ricochet and The Miz vs Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre.

WWE Photo
Ricochet started off hot as usual with his matches with a lot of dives including a moonsault to McIntyre and Baron Corbin outside the ring. That apparently made Baron Corbin take off his shirt which makes him even more of a generic wrestler.

The match ended with a code breaker to Baron Corbin and won the match. A decent showcase of all those competitors in the king of the ring tournament.

Booker T had a Skype interview with Micheal Cole about "The Fiend's" attack to Lawler and his prediction as to who wins the whole tournament?

Booker T like most people I saw on the Twitta, predicted Drew McIntyre which I don't see that happening considering that my prediction is actually Ricochet but like anything in life, it is possible.

Braun Strowman vs AJ Styles for the United States championship.

WWE Photo
The match ended in a DQ with a big superkick from Luke Gallows after Braun pretty much dominated in this match. Seth Rollins came to the rescue with his hat not falling off. I knew this was going to happen but it was a good decision made by WWE if they want to stretch out this.

Also, Rollins talked to Braun Strowman about The Monster looking at him in a weird way because of the Universal title and The beast slayer apparently proposed a RAW tag team championship match between them and The O.C in Gallows and Anderson on this episode.

Cesaro vs Samoa Joe. King Of The Ring Round of 16 Match.

WWE Photo
A match between two heels which doesn't feel like that but rather it feels like two guys beat the crap out of each other which that's exactly what happened. Cesaro delivers a series of uppercuts throughout this matchup as well as a quick Cesaro swing.

Samoa Joe delivered a quick kokina clutch and he advances the semi-finalsI thought Joe's taking the L in this but he didn't and honestly that was a good decision given that he's lost a crap ton of matches as of late.

Elias Concert.

WWE Photo
Elias wanted to sing his "farewell" show until he got an audio glitch throughout this concert and R Truth show up to which he hits a scissors kick but Elias' kick out. R Truth tried to hit Elias with a guitar used by Elias but he left the ring.

Charly Caruso interviewed Rey Mysterio and he asked about his career? He said that he's willing to hang it up and his son Dominic told him not to which led to a hung between a father and a son.

That father and son dynamic is something I wanna see more of even though that the way Dominic executed that promo was a bit weak in terms of acting skills.

The New Day in Xavier Woods and Big E vs The Revival.

WWE Photo
Randy Orton ended this match in a DQ with an RKO to Big E to which Kofi tried to help his bros but he ate an RKO. Xavier Woods tried to do the same thing but he also ate an RKO and Randy made Kofi Kingston watch his friend beat up his knee by The Revival.

I really liked that moment where Randy forced Kofi to watch his friend get beat up but the segment as a whole was very similar to last week's beatdown on SmackDown Live. Will Kofi beat the crap out of Randy Orton? Will find out very soon.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.

WWE Photo
The champs won the match with the swinging neckbreaker to Deville. By far the weakest match of the night.

Seth Rollins was talking to Braun Strowman while Strowman was looking at the Universal title like that Captain America endgame hot toy and Seth told him to focus on their main event.

Cedric Alexander vs Sami Zayn. King Of The Ring Round of 16 Match.

 WWE Photo

Alexander won the match with the lumbar check. I knew it as everybody else knew it.

The Street Profits were having fun meanwhile, Sasha Banks destroys Natalya's arm and told her that she can go to hell and also said that Natalya to say hi to her dad.

While I get what they're trying to do, I'm not a fan of when a superstar brings up an actual real-life death because it just proves that they can't develop a heel character or a story without mentioning a real-life death of a wrestler and it's lazy writing but that's just me.

Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman vs The O.C in Gallows and Anderson for the RAW Tag Team Championship.

WWE Photo
AJ Styles took out Braun Strowman by pushing the monster among men onto the ring post without the ref's awareness but he woke up and came back with a vengeance.

Because of that, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman won the match and the titles with the running powerslam to Karl Anderson.

Rollins and Strowman didn't earn crap to even win those belts but it's also sad that this is Braun's first championship he's won.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Ziggler vs Reigns, I know this is tiring but "The Fiend" showed up, that amazing promo by Becky Lynch, Joe finally wins a match, Randy forcing Kofi to watch his friend get beat up, that father and son dynamic between Rey and Dominic.

Didn't like: Rey leaving his career behind because of Andrade ripped off his mask, Rollins and Strowman getting the title without earning that shot, the King's Court segment.

Sorry for posting this so late, life has been really busy as of late. What do you guys think about RAW yesterday? Sound off in the comments below. Follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy and follow this very blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyway, stay safe smarks.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...
