WWE NXT 20/8/19 | My Coherent Review.

Overall, a decent edition of NXT that has a lot going on and next week's episode should be even better than that given that the matches announced for next week's show.

Adam Cole Told The Fans A Long Time Ago That He's Keeping His Championship.

All members of Undisputed Era approached the ring and the leader in Adam Cole told people so that he's still going to champion and also said that if there was a Mount Rushmore of NXT champions, Cole's will be in it 4 times.

WWE PhotoThe rest of Undisputed Era, however, weren't happy on taking an L at Takeover: Toronto and Cole encouraged Fish, O'Reilly and Strong to get a rematch for the championship they each competed in. Just we thought that the opening segment has ended, Jordan Myles shows up with an NXT championship match contract and Adam Cole told him that facing him will guarantee Jordan an Undisputed failure.

Myles tried to hand him the contract but drop it in a trolly fashion. If I won the NXT Breakout tournament with a championship match of my choosing, I'm gunning for the NXT Championship and that made a lot of sense. As far as this segment goes, I like this segment a lot.

Damian Priest vs Mansoor.

WWE Photo
An okay match. Damian Priest squashes Mansoor despite a decent effort by Mansoor with a crucifix powerbomb

Mia Yim vs Vanessa Bourne.

Just like the Priest vs Mansoor match, this match was aight. After Mia Yim won her respective match, out came Shayna Baszler and she offered her the opportunity to join her gang in Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke but she refused by trying to beat Shayna's posse up and instead, Yim ate a 3 on 1 beating from Shayna and the gang.

I guess this feud is still going and I don't know what to feel about it just like other than I'm not interested in this feud whatsoever. Man, that really proves that the NXT women's division is really weak.

What I am really interested in is a match between Keith Lee and Dominic Djakovic and its coming next week on NXT TV next week. F' yes, I can't wait.

Bronson Reed vs Shane Throne.

WWE Photo

This match came about when Bronson Reed was interviewed about what's Reed going to do next until his Australia native in Shane Throne showed up basically called him a loser and Reed requested Throne to face him to which Shane accepted.

During the match, Rees delivered a beautiful looking sitout spinebuster to Shane Throne. The match ended with a quick running knee and Throne took the W in this decent matchup. Didn't expect that Throne would win this match of all people but I hope that doesn't hurt Bronson Reed in the long run.

Velveteen Dream shows up sitting on his sofa with the help of two women pushing it to the stage area and he brought up examples of his t-shirt costing $30 and his replica sunglasses costing $10 but Dream retaining his title by pinning Pete Dunne is priceless.

The Dream ended the promo saying that Roderick Strong would give him an experience of some sort in order for Strong to get a rematch for the North American title. Decent promo and that's all I got to say about that.

Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain.

WWE Photo

Matt Riddle started off this match by storming Dain to him with a series of straight rights. Dain then beats up Riddle's ribs which put Riddle in resting mode throughout this match. Matt countered Dain with a suplex and another suplex German style which was very impressive to look at.

WWE Photo

Dain kicked Riddle with a shotgun dropkick on to the corner and a cannonball to a near fall. Killian Dain reversed Riddle's corkscrew moonsault and minutes later, Dain tried to do a backdrop on the steel steps but instead, on landing his back, it landed on his face.

A Senton was delivered by the Beast of Belfast on the steel steps and a 3 Vader bombs from the middle rope on Riddle inside the ring this time to win this match and after the match was over and done with, Matt Riddle rushed to Killian Dain, caught him with a sleeper and the show awkwardly faded to black.

As you can tell from reading this, that was a brutal match but I really enjoyed this match and I hope Riddle is okay from that odd landing.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Matt Riddle vs Killian Dain, The opening segment.

Didn't like: The Shayna Baszler feud with Mia Yim so far.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
