WWE Smackdown Live 26/3/19 | My Coherent Review.

This was a very eventful show but was it good? Yes. Matter fact, it was a great show and here's why.

Opening Segment.

The show kicked off with The New Day after another great performance by Kofi in that gauntlet match last week. They cut a promo basically thanking the fans for being with them in this journey.

They also said that Kofi has been treated so poorly for the past 11 years and Kofi is a great example of the power of positivity. Xavier Woods then called out Vince McMahon for answers and out came the chairman himself.

Vince was about to say something until Daniel Bryan came out and said that if they wanna quit then let them quit. Xavier Woods replied by saying that Daniel Bryan is becoming what Bryan used to hate 5 years ago.

Vince told them to “SHUT UP!” and decided to put Xavier Woods and Big E in a tag team gauntlet match. If they win that match then Kofi gets to go to WrestleMania. Decent segment.

Backstage Interview with Sarah Schreiber and she interviewed Becky Lynch. In it, Becky called Charlotte a third wheel.

Charlotte Flair vs Asuka for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship.

This was a great tv match. That Spanish fly delivered by Charlotte was fantastic to watch. But Asuka lost the match with the figure 8 from Charlotte Flair. It's a shame that Asuka lost the match like that but that win gave me more questions than answers.

Why did WWE give Charlotte Flair the championship? Are they gonna unite the championships? Will have to wait possibly till next Monday or next Tuesday or at Wrestlemania and I don't know if that decision was a good thing or a bad thing yet.

AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle.

Well, the match didn't last long because Randy Orton interfered and hits an RKO to AJ Styles which led to Angle delivered the angle slam to Randy Orton. I mean I don't hate it considering that the match would've been okay at best anyways.

Shane McMahon Talks About How He Loves To Watch Himself Beat Up Miz’s Father.

Shane promises to punish The A-Lister’s father for spawning the “greatest Miz-take of his life.”
The A-lister cut a promo about how Shane lit a fire inside him and how Shane McMahon got really personal by beating his father in front of him. The Miz also said that his match with Shane McMahon is a fall count anywhere match. Shane McMahon’s music hits and Shane brought in security guards, Shelton Benjamin, Primo Colon and Sanity. Shane McMahon told Miz that Miz is as dumb as Miz's father looks (huh?).

McMahon also said that he watched himself beating The Miz and grabbing Miz’s father's face over and over again because it feels good to him. After Shane McMahon called Miz a “Mizztake”, The Miz got really pissed off and beats up a bunch of security guards and Sanity.

Wow, one person in Miz beats up an entire team in Sanity. That's laughable to me but nevertheless, this was a great segment and the more I see Shane and Miz interact, the more I'm really looking forward to this match. The thing I love about heel Shane is that this is a Shane McMahon we've never seen before and that's a psychotic heel Shane McMahon.

The New Day vs The Bar vs Rusev and Nakamura vs Gallows and Anderson vs The Usos.

Sheamus & Cesaro carry out a vicious post-match assault and drive Big E through a table!
The New Day eliminated Gallows and Anderson, Rusev and Nakamura, The Bar but The Usos came out and decided to forfeit. So, at this point, The New Day has to beat one more team and here came Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

The New Day defeated the team of Bryan and Rowan with a count out victory which means that Kofi will go to WrestleMania and face Daniel Bryan for the WWE championship. Yeah man. Hopefully, this pays off at Wrestlemania. What an ending.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: The ending to The New Day vs The Bar vs Rusev and Nakamura vs Gallows and Anderson vs The Usos Gauntlet match, Shane McMahon Talks About How He Loves To Watch Himself Beat Up Miz’s Father, Charlotte Flair vs Asuka for the SmackDown Live Women's Championship.

Didn't like: Nothing.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

NXT Takeover Phoenix | My Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover was a great show with great wrestling, energetic crowd and intriguing storytelling (OMG, REALLY? I didn’t know that).  War Raiders vs The Undisputed Era (Kyle O’ Reilly and Roderick Strong) for the NXT Tag Team Championship.  First off, cool entrance by War Raiders. Secondly, the match was entertaining. At one point, Strong did a superplex to Hanson. The match ended with War Raiders delivered the Fallout to Kyle O ‘Reilly and won the match. War Raiders are the new NXT Tag Team Champions deservedly so.  Matt Riddle vs Kassius Ohno. During the match, Ohno hit Riddle right on his mouth which absolutely looked brutal. Minutes after that, Riddle hits Ohno with series of elbow strikes which made Ohno tap out and won the match. A very unique finish but nevertheless, this was a decent match.  Johnny Gargano vs Ricochet for the NXT North American Championship.  Those guys put on the absolute clinic of a wrestling match. But that ending ...
