WWE Smackdown Live 4/12/18 | My Coherent Review

Smackdown Live last night was okay that did a decent job to build of TLC. Why you ask? Well usually on my RAW and Smackdown reviews, I tell you what's good, what's okay and what's bad. Because the show was decent, I'm only gonna tell you what's good and what's okay. Without further ado, on with the review.

WHAT'S GOOD

Daniel Bryan So Far As A Heel

... WWE Champion Daniel Bryan!
I know this heel character by Daniel Bryan has been around for a couple of weeks now and I wasn't really a fan of the heel turn initially but with that being said, I love this new, dangerous, psychotic heel Daniel Bryan and I could argue that he's more psychotic than Dean Ambrose. In other words, Daniel is a better portraying a lunatic than Dean.

WHAT'S OK

The Women's Triple Treat TLC Match Contract Signing

Flair claims she picked up the ball that Becky dropped and beat the hell out of Ronda Rousey.
The show started off with all three women explaining their reasons as to why they will win the match at TLC. After that, Becky signed the contract and left the ring while Asuka and Charlotte were arguing, even when Charlotte said that she shattered Asuka's mystic which by the way, was a good line.

Then both Asuka and Charlotte eventually signed the contract. This opening segment felt short which was rather surprising given that opening segments are usually long in length time but it was decent.

Charlotte and Asuka vs Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville

An okay match. I would've hated the finish if it wasn't for Charlotte taking the fall and not Asuka. The team of Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose won the match with a kick from Asuka to Charlotte followed by a Jackknife pin by Sonya.

Jey Uso vs Xavier Woods vs Cesaro

Decent match. During the match, Cesaro did a swing to Jey while at the same time, carried Woods on his shoulders which looked amazing. The match ended with Cesaro threw Woods on to the outside and then he ate a superkick from Jey and just like that, Jey Uso took the W.

Randy Orton vs Jeff Hardy

This was a quick one in my opinion. Jeff was going for I'm assuming an elbow drop on the announce table to Randy until Samoa Joe appeared on the titantron in a local bar and talked about Jeff's past alcohol issues which distracted Jeff. After that, Randy hit an RKO outta nowhere and won the match.

AJ Styles vs The Miz

By the end of the match, Styles got distracted beacuse Daniel pulled one of his legs. Then Styles grab Miz's left leg and did the calf crusher submission to win this match. After the match, Daniel hit AJ's left leg from behind and delivered the heel hook submission to AJ to which Daniel grabbed the microphone and shouted "FICKLE!" to everybody in the crowd. Man, what a heel Daniel Bryan is so far.

My question is, what do you think about SmackDown live last night? Let me know in the comments below and make sure to follow the blog for honest pro wrestling opinions. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

WWE Smackdown 4/2/22 | A Coherent Review.

Gotta be honest guys, this episode didn't do it for me.  Besides the announcement of Ronda Rousey challenging Charlotte Flair for the blue women's belt at Wrestlemania as well as another challenge proposed by Goldberg aka NoBerg to the tribal chief, this, like last week's show, was as skippable as an anime filler episode.  Paul Heyman Was Like, "F**k That Brock Guy!"  Brock and Paul legit need some counselling because they've broken up and reunited together like my relationship with the Call of Duty franchise. To quote Gordon Ramsey, "DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!"  All lame banter aside, Paul Heyman's promos before Goldberg's appearance was the only good thing throughout the entire show.  As far as how I feel about the idea of Goldberg facing Roman Reigns at the upcoming Elimination Chamber show, major Ls on this one.   Ricochet vs Ridge Holland.  Yay, the "one on one match that later turned into a tag match" cliche. The difference is t...
