WWE Smackdown Live 18/12/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown Live was a decent show that did an okay job to build for next week's episode. Why you ask? Well, I’m gonna tell you what’s good, what’s okay and what’s bad. Here we go.

WHAT'S GOOD

Daniel Bryan and Andrade “Cien” Almas vs AJ Styles and Mustafa Ali

Styles clobbers "Cien" with a Phenomenal Forearm...
Before this, Daniel cut a promo on how people are destroying the environment every day and how Fresno, California ranks number 1 in pollution which led to Daniel shouting “SHAME, SHAME, SHAME”. The match itself was good and it was a good way to end this episode of Smackdown Live.

The team of AJ Styles and Mustafa Ali won the match with Mustafa delivered the 054 to Daniel Bryan which I don’t know if it’s just me but this felt like it was no accident when Ali pinned Bryan. Hopefully, this leads to something great for Mustafa Ali.

WHAT’S OK

Becky Lynch Speaks About Her Loss

First off, Paige gone as GM is a huge mistake considering that she’s one of the best things on Smackdown Live but it is somewhat interesting as to what her new position is.

Secondly, this was a decent opening segment and it went like this. Becky was furious over her loss at TLC and then out came Charlotte. Charlotte cut a promo on how if Ronda didn't interfere, the queen would’ve become champion.

After that, Asuka came out to the ring and said that she’s the new champion. Outta nowhere, Vince McMahon came out and he asked Asuka on if she would defend her championship tonight.

Out came Naomi and Vince announced an impromptu championship match between Naomi and Asuka. Speaking of which….

It was okay I guess. During the match, Naomi hit Asuka with the rare view to a near fall but unfortunately, that wasn’t enough because Asuka won the match with the Asuka lock.

Samoa Joe “Apologises” To Jeff Hardy

Joe claims he and the WWE Universe are worried about Joe because “a man of your fragile condition” will succumb to his demons.
Jeff Hardy came out to the ring and asked Samoa Joe to apologize in front of him.

Out came Samoa Joe and said that he’s “worried” that Hardy might mess up again to which Jeff replied by saying that Joe is haunted by the fact that he hasn’t won a single title since coming to the WWE (which I understood that he talked about the main roster but Samoa Joe is a former 2 time NXT champion so Jeff’s wrong on that).

After that, Joe tried to punch Jeff but Jeff reversed that into a twist of fate. It was a whatever segment but I do think that Samoa Joe needs a win in order to make him look legitimate.

Hopefully, he proves Jeff wrong and actually wins some titles in the near future.

The Usos vs Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson

Decent match. At one point, Jey Uso tried to hit the suicide dive but Anderson reversed it into a kick on Jey’s face which made him stuck between the ropes.

By the end of the match, The Bar’s music hit and Sanity outta nowhere interfered in the match which made the match end in a DQ.

After the match, The Bar beat both Usos and The Good Brothers. Are they finally gonna utilize Sanity to their fullest potential? Hopefully but I highly doubt that.

WHAT’S BAD

The Miz and Mandy Rose vs The Fabulous Truth

The Miz and Mandy Rose won the match with a skull crushing finale to R Truth. I really like the duo of R Truth and Carmella but this was a throwaway match.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
