WWE Survivor Series 2018 | My Coherent Review.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans reading this and welcome to my coherent review for Survivor Series 2018. Overall, it was a very entertaining show throughout with some minor issues and here's why.

(KICK OFF SHOW) Tag team Survivor Series match

This match was a great example of a skippable match until the last moments. Xavier Woods did the springboard elbow drop and both members of The Revival countered that into a shatter machine which look amazing.

Minutes later, Scott Dawson hit a superplex to Jimmy Uso and an immediate frog splash from Dash Wilder to a near fall.

After that, Both Usos hit a superkick to Dash followed by a Uso splash and just like that, the Smackdown team took the W which WWE wants to forget about that (so stupid). A decent match but with a boring start in my opinion.

(MAIN SHOW) Women’s Survivor Series match

Before the match started when Nia Jax’s music hit, she got volcanic heat from the Los Angeles crowd and it did continue during the match at certain moments which made me laugh Ted Dibasie style.

This ain’t a Survivor Series match without quick eliminations. Naomi got eliminated via a superkick from Tamina and then outta nowhere, Carmella eliminated Tamina via a school boy roll up.

By the end of the match, Asuka eliminated Sasha Banks via the Asuka lock. Immediately after that, Nia delivered two leg drops followed by a Samoan drop and won the match.

Not surprised by the finish considering that she has a title match coming up but it was disappointing that Asuka got eliminated like that with no offense given to Nia Jax. Overall an okay opener in my opinion.

Seth Rollins (Intercontinental Champion) vs Shinsuke Nakamura (United States Champion)

Started out slow but picked up pretty nicely in my opinion. At one point, Shinsuke was on the top rope then Seth grabbed him and delivered a superplex into a falcon’s arrow to a near fall.  By the end of the match, Shinsuke tried to hit the Kinshasa but Seth countered it into the stomp and won the match.

Two things that bothered me was one, the Los Angeles crowd didn’t do it justice beacuse the match was very good and two, Nakamura losing was a mistake considering that he’s been doing nothing on Smackdown Live besides facing Rusev, hence losing a lot of momentum. Shinsuke Nakamura is the US champion and he needs to treated as a champion instead of being underutilised.

The Bar (Smackdown Tag Team Champion ) vs AOP (RAW Tag Team champion)

This was a quick match. Nothing really in this match in my opinion. AOP won that match with the double team powerbomb.

Mustafa Ali vs Buddy Murphy for the Cruiserweight Championship

That moment where Murphy pushed Ali outside of the ring looked absolutely brutal. This was my match of the night I mean that Spanish fly Mustafa Ali delivered to Murphy on the outside like DAMN! Buddy Murphy retained the championship via Murphy's Law which is a pumphandle lift into Whale Hunt.

Men’s Survivor Series match

This match was all over the place in a good way. Samoa Joe was out of the via an elimination by Drew McIntyre which I wished that Jeff Hardy took that spot instead of Joe considering that Jeff has nothing going on storyline wise in my opinion. RAW won the match which wasn’t surprising given that the arena that will host this year’s TLC PPV promoted a match between Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin.

Ronda Rousey (RAW Women’s Champion) vs Charlotte Flair

I can’t do it justice by me just talking about how great this match was. It’s a FANTASTIC match with a FANTASTIC ending and I’ll explain what happened in the ending. Ronda was running to Charlotte until Charlotte grabbed a kendo stick and from there on, she destroyed the holy hell outta Ronda.

The best part about this is that Charlotte was bland as a babyface and her turning heel like that out of nowhere was great. Props to Charlotte and Ronda for giving us a great match.

Daniel Bryan (WWE Champion) vs Brock Lesnar (Universal Champion)

This was uncomfortable to watch for the sake of Bryan’s health and well being until the last parts of the match. Bryan Lowblowed Lesnar and delivered the running knee to a near fall. Moments later, Daniel did the yes lock to Brock which almost made him tap until Bryan himself reversed that into a triangle lock which Brock Lesnar then reversed it into an F5 and won the match. That was a great match with a slow start.

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

NXT Takeover Phoenix | My Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover was a great show with great wrestling, energetic crowd and intriguing storytelling (OMG, REALLY? I didn’t know that).  War Raiders vs The Undisputed Era (Kyle O’ Reilly and Roderick Strong) for the NXT Tag Team Championship.  First off, cool entrance by War Raiders. Secondly, the match was entertaining. At one point, Strong did a superplex to Hanson. The match ended with War Raiders delivered the Fallout to Kyle O ‘Reilly and won the match. War Raiders are the new NXT Tag Team Champions deservedly so.  Matt Riddle vs Kassius Ohno. During the match, Ohno hit Riddle right on his mouth which absolutely looked brutal. Minutes after that, Riddle hits Ohno with series of elbow strikes which made Ohno tap out and won the match. A very unique finish but nevertheless, this was a decent match.  Johnny Gargano vs Ricochet for the NXT North American Championship.  Those guys put on the absolute clinic of a wrestling match. But that ending ...
