WWE Smackdown Live 27/11/18 | My Coherent Review.

24 hours later, Smackdown Live somehow manages to give me an entertaining show overall after that mediocre show that was last week’s. Why you ask? Well, I’m gonna tell you what’s good, what’s okay and what’s bad. Without further ado, on with the review.

WHAT'S GOOD

Opening segment

Flair claims she wasn̢۪t trying to be Becky; she was just being Charlotte Flair, the only woman capable of giving Rousey the beating that she deserved.
Paige was on the ring to introduce the man Becky Lynch. Becky then grabbed the microphone and Becky said that she had to watch someone fight her battle at Survivor Series against Ronda Rousey.

After that, Becky called out Charlotte Flair and Becky said that if it was her vs Ronda, she would’ve got the job done. Charlotte replied by saying that she wasn’t trying to be Becky, she was trying to be the queen Charlotte Flair WOOOOO! (I had to put that there I’m sorry).

From there on was a bickering back and forth between Charlotte and Becky Lynch until Paige announced that at TLC, Charlotte will face Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship in a TLC match.

Out came the entire women’s division and they demanded a championship opportunity. The general manager Paige set up a battle royal and whoever wins the battle royal will be added to the Smackdown women’s championship and will be turned into a triple threat match. I like this opening segment in my opinion.

A battle royal. Winner faces both Becky Lynch and Charlotte for the Smackdown women’s championship

The Empress and Deville battle on the ring apron...
I’m not gonna lie, the match itself was whatever but the reason why I put this on what’s good is because of the finish.

Yes, people, Asuka won the battle royal and will be added to the Smackdown women’s championship match with TLC stipulation. Well, there’s one match I’m looking forward to at TLC.

Jeff Hardy’s 20th-anniversary celebration

Jeff came out to the ring after that stellar video package played on the titantron and thanked his family but most importantly, he thanked his fans for letting him entertain the world. Out came Samoa Joe and he was splitting truth bombs on Jeff Hardy.

Jeff then replied by saying that Joe can’t run on his parade and told him to fight him right here right now to which Joe because he’s a heel, he refused to do so. I like this segment and I hope that once they face each other, Joe can take the W he so desperately deserves.

WHAT’S OK

The Usos vs The Bar

WWE Photo
Decent match. The match ended with both Usos did a double roundhouse kick with a superkick courtesy of Jimmy Uso followed by a Uso splash by Jey Uso to Cesaro and just like that, they took the W.
Does that mean that there are the number one contender for the Smackdown tag team championship? Will have to want and see.

AJ Styles had some “words of wisdom”

AJ says Bryan̢۪s vicious post-match attack prevented him from being medically cleared for Survivor Series or SmackDown LIVE last week.
AJ was on the ring with massive AJ Styles chants. AJ Styles cut a promo on how he doesn’t mind losing the championship, just the way he lost it that bothered him. He got his bottom kick. So bad that he wasn’t medically cleared to compete for days straight. AJ also stated that he doesn’t care if it’s the old Daniel Bryan or the new Daniel Bryan, he's looking forward to beating the crap outta him at TLC.

He would love to beat him right here, right now but he wasn’t on Minneapolis. AJ ended the promo by saying that he will take the championship because it belongs to him. Decent promo. Wasn’t bad or good but it did move the storyline from point A to point B and to that it was okay.

Kofi Kingston vs The Miz

This was surprisingly decent in my opinion. The match ended with Miz grabbing the stew chair until Xavier woods took it with a no, no gesture and Kofi hit Miz with the trouble in paradise to win this match.

Randy Orton explains why he took Rey's Mask

“I never understood what was so special about this piece of trash that I ripped off of Rey Mysterio’s face,” Randy Orton says. “I never bothered to learn the history because I didn’t care.”
Randy cut a promo basically saying that he didn’t intend on disrespecting his culture but tried to embarrass him instead. Then outta nowhere Rey Mysterio came out and they had a brawl but Randy grabbed Rey on the middle rope then hits the DDT. After that, he took the steel chair and hit him on Rey’s throat. It was okay I guess.

WHAT’S BAD

Rusev Vs Shinsuke Nakamura

WWE Photo
The Match hasn’t started because, during Rusev’s entrance, Shinsuke kicked him on his head and delivered a Kinshasa on the outside.

The problem I have with this is that Shinsuke beat Rusev clean before so why did Shinsuke Nakamura made a statement like that instead of you know, actually trying to beat him clean again? I get it that WWE is trying to do build something with the US title but Rusev of all opponents like really though?

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

NXT Takeover: 30 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeovers have delivered greatly throughout the "30 years" of Takeover shows.  This one, in my opinion, wasn't it. For a Takeover program, this was disappointing.  All of the Takeovers are A's or B's and Takeover 30 was a C at best.  At least, I like the stage production set.  pictures via WWE.com PRESHOW: Breezango vs Legado De La Fantasma vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. Winner Faces Imperium For The NXT Tag Team Championship.  It was a fine match. Joaquin Wilde's ring gear was really cool even though it took a bit out of the seriousness from the Legado De La Fantasma stable. I'm just nitpicking though.  Breezango actually won the match and will go on to face Imperium for the tag belts.  MAIN SHOW: Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher.  Timothy Thatcher started off this match with a series of punches which he then later transitioned into various submission moves.  Pretty much, Finn has no choice but to adapt to...
