WWE RAW 6/8/18 | My Coherent Review.

Man, it feels like the RAW creative team for the most part, doesn't care about what they put on television. The show was once again skippable at best. Why you ask? Well i'm gonna give you what's good, what's ok and what's bad. Here we go.

WHAT'S GOOD

Ronda Rousey's RAW debut

For someone that's gonna face alexa bliss for the RAW women's championship at summerslam, i thought this was an impressive showcase for ronda and it makes her look good going into summerslam. Yes this was a glorified squash match but i understood the context of this but i could see why someone might not like this just because they've been cautious for this match only to be nothing but a squash.

Paul heyman interview

I am not a fan of this storyline mainly because creative's intend is to build sympathy toward roman reigns which in my opinion roman is more somebody that you either love or hate not to feel sorry for. However i thought this interview, the way he sold this was fantastic and if you told me that he was actually crying his eyes out then i would believe you. That how good paul heyman is.

WHAT'S OK

Roman Reigns vs Baron Corbin

Now the opening segment was a typical RAW opening segment but quicker which i appreciate. Anyways, the match was fine. At one point baron corbin hit a deep six and roman sold it pretty well in my opinion. The match ends when finn balor distracted corbin only for him to eat a spear 1 2 3, roman wins. Apparently, the feud between balor and corbin is still happening *sigh*.

Jinder Mahal vs Baron Strowman

The problem i had with this feud is that the way braun strowman treated kevin owens during the extreme rules build last month and the kevin owens show before this match kinda addressed that problem. Anyways, the matched ended on a DQ because braun hit jinder with his money in the bank briefcase.

Seth rollins vs Drew mcintyre and Dolph ziggler

This match was supposed to be a regular tag team match between seth and a mystery tag partner vs drew and dolph and everybody was like "OMG, is amborse coming back?" and he didn't unsurprisingly. Seth instead chose roman after seth refused a tag offer from tyler brezze but roman wasn't part of that match due to a request from Stephanie McMahon. The match itself last a short period of time nothing special really. Dolph and drew wins with dolph hitting the superkick.

The B team vs The Revival

Before i talk about this match. Let me addressed the B team's theme music. This theme, this theme. SUCKS! SUCKS! SUCKS! (Speaking of theme songs, I'm working on a top 5 best NXT takeover theme songs so follow the blog for updates) Anyways, the match ended after 45 seconds because outcomes bray wyatt and "WOKEN" Matt hardy taking the place of both bo dallas's partner and scott dawson's partner and then hit their respective finishers on them. This feud is dead to me just like their tag team division.

Rezar vs Titus O'Nell

I'm surprised it took him this long to beat titus o'nell. Rezar wins with a spinebuster via a distraction from akam which i wonder why?

WHAT'S BAD

Mojo losing this match

Let me get this straight. Why does mojo take a L in this match? You're trying to create/establish a new star and just squashed tyler brezze last week and now he loses a match to bobby roode who's been doing nothing since his move from Smackdown Live. Wouldn't make more sense if rawley wins this match gaining his momentum in the process?

Bobby Lashley interrupts Elias AGAIN!

I don't what are they feuding over. Say what you want about the finn balor vs baron corbin feud but at least they have a reason as to why they're feuding. Again, i need a reason as to why they're feuding because i don't have one clearly.

Riott Squad vs The hugger and Boss connection

WWE Photo
First off, welcome back ruby riott. Second, why i'm seeing this match again? And the worst part about it is that 9 times out of 10 the rematch has a different winner. In other words, 50/50 lazy booking. With the return of ruby riott, this will probably end up being a 6 women tag between the riott squad and bayley, sasha and ember moon on RAW or possibly at summerslam.

Sound off in the comments on what do you think about RAW this week and follow me on twitter @omar_playa. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
