WWE Smackdown Live 17/7/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown live was a decent show that has it's problems but again a decent show nevertheless. Why you ask? Well i'm gonna give you what's good, what's ok and what's bad. Let's discuss wrestling shall we?

WHAT'S GOOD


The Miz's "Funeral" segment

He promises Daniel Bryan’s career is dead and his days of main-eventing WrestleMania are over.
Started odd but ended pretty great. He shitted all over daniel bryan which is typical but awesome miz and i liked the fact that the funeral symbolizes how the reunion of daniel bryan and kane was dead within few weeks. Hence the funeral itself which i thought it was clever in my opinion. Great stuff by the miz. 

AJ styles vs Andrade "Cien" Almas

This was a damn good match. I could watch these guys wrestle all day and i hope the rematch will have a stake or a sense of importance like challenging for the WWE championship or something in the future. If i could nitpick, i wish the match would've went a bit longer but again, i'm just nitpicking. AJ Styles wins with the calf crusher and to be honest i don't mind the win and the reason being is because andrade looked good in this match in my opinion and it was a great showcase on who andrade is capable of in the ring. 

Heel Randy is back

OH MY GOD. I've been waiting for this randy orton for god knows how long. Now the opening segment and the main event was decent but again i'm intrigued like really intrigued. Randy pulling jeff's ear looks so brutal like in the picture above but i'm excited for a vicious, prick randy orton. 

WHAT'S OK


Eric young vs Kofi Kingston

Decent match. Noting groundbreaking or anything like that. Eric wins here with a german suplex position into a neckbreaker which actually looked pretty impressive.

Samoa Joe vs Tye Dillinger

A complete squash match and to be honest, tye is better than this in my opinion but i could see why creative did this considering that he hasn't been on TV for weeks now. Joe wins with the kokina clutch.  

WHAT'S BAD


The women's championship situation. 

After forcing Mandy Rose to tap to the Dis-arm-her, Becky Lynch thanks the WWE Universe and talks about how great it feels to win.

The match was fine, her promo was fine but becky facing carmella next week gave me two problems with this. One, where's asuka in this? In my opinion she (asuka) deserves a rematch considering that she got screwed by outside shenanigans twice and two why's becky facing carmella in order to face carmella for the championship at summerslam? Her reasoning for the championship opportunity makes sense considering that just this past month, she beat 5 women in singles competition i believe and becky facing carmella next week feels completely unnecessary.

Escape The Undertaker | A Short Coherent Review.

The internet. The only place where your YouTube recommended is filled with "I DON'T EVEN KNOW THAT'S PG".  It is also home to Netflix which released an interactive movie produced by future Raspberry award-winning movie studio, WWE films. Look, the idea of 3 black dudes being trapped inside a house by a white conservative dead hog, is offensive and by that description alone, you weren't sure for a sec whether you were watching Netflix or the Daily Wire.  Luckily, there wasn't a cameo from Tessa Blanchard so you should be fine.  As a fan of Mass Effect 2, I love some dialogue trees that alter the events of a movie/game.  And, from a functionality standpoint, it is a technical marvel how it gives the audience the illusion of choice (you know, like our current economic system).  I say "illusion" because therein lies the main problem I have with the film. Your choices don't matter here. Even in a WWE movie, they're still trying to avoid the fan...

WWE Smackdown Live 11/9/18 | My Coherent Review.

Smackdown live was overall a good show. Why you ask? Well, I'm gonna tell you what's good, what's ok and what's bad. Here we go.  WHAT'S GOOD Jeff Hardy vs Shinsuke Nakamura The promo before this was okay however that was a goooood match. Better than their in counter at SummerSlam. Jeff was about to beat Nakamura, however, randy outta nowhere pushes hardy on the outside hence Nakamura retains the championship and Jeff wins via DQ. They had a brawl that was better than the brawl last night on RAW I'll tell you that much.  Samoa Joe telling a bedtime story in a good not boring way.   I thought from the editing to the design of the book to the way Samoa Joe express the story was fantastic. The thing I LOVE about this is that it's a outside in the box type of promo package that worked. Man, I can't wait for this match.
