WWE Smackdown 4/3/22 | A Coherent Review.

Ronda Rousey made her Smackdown in-ring debut which is insane to think about. The fact that they actually maintained the integrity of the brand split.

How was the show this week? Like all of their programming as of late, it was aight.

Naomi vs Carmella.

This was meh. The so-called "most beautiful woman in all of WWE" lost with a moonsault to Naomi.

Not gonna lie, seeing both Naomi and Sasha Banks in the tag team sphere feels not only a random arc to book but it's also a creative demotion since they're capable of so much more.

Drew McIntyre vs Jinder Mahal.

Aka a match that they definitely thought about as their WWE championship match at last year's WrestleMania.

One former WWE champion delivered the claymore to another former WWE champion which led to Drew's victory. Coolinos.

The Viking Raiders vs The Usos For The Smackdown Tag Team Championship.

A pretty good tag team match, playas! The raiding guys were about to walk out of this episode as the tag champions with the Viking Experience but Jey Uso broke the pin as soon as the referee counted 2.

Unfortunately for the Northsmen, The Usos retained the titles with the 3D to Erik. There's nothing wrong with expanding a performer's wrestling arsenal.

In other words, the 3D is a move they should use a lot more. Kinda like it honestly.

Sheamus vs Big E.

The star of the match was that darn ATV and moments after the match's sudden end, both lads destroyed the ATV, channelling their inner Brock Lesnar from 2004. Noice!

Ronda Rousey vs Sonya Deville.

Rousey looked good here which shouldn't be a surprise to us not named Susan Deville over here.

The woman that looks like a confused NPC won the match with the armbar that was followed by another submission by Ronda to Charlotte Flair (aka the ankle lock).

Austin Theory was like, "Hey Pat, come face my creepy a** at Wrestlemania." I'm sure Vince was supposed to face McAfee but a somewhat wise old man once said, "plan's changed".

While Roman Reigns revealed a spoiler for his title vs title match at WrestleMania in that he'll defeat the beast. Meh.

Ricochet vs Sami Zayn For The Intercontinental Championship.

Ever since WWE continued the arc between Sami Zayn and Johnny Knoxville, you know my man was going to lose the IC belt and that's exactly what happened here.

The best part? It ended via a distraction finish thanks to the goof himself, Johnny Knox.

And just like Shinsuke's reign, WWE ain't gonna do Jack sh*te with Ricochet as the intercontinental champion. At least the match itself was actually prettay, prettay, pretty good

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The Viking Raiders vs The Usos (THAT 3D!? I LIKE IT), Ricochet vs Sami Zayn.

Didn't like: Sasha And Naomi teaming up is a creative demotion.

The 5 News Week: Quick Predictions On Wrestlemania: Backlash.

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor pro wrestling news, rumours and spoilers of the week that I don't have time to do it separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 news week.   A Brief Thoughts On AEW Dynamite.  For the first time on this very series, I am going to briefly discuss my thoughts on AEW Dynamite and it was decent for the most part. I do have some perspectives on a few key things.  Most notably, that Cody Rhodes promo which by the way, was without exaggeration, one of the worst PROMOS I've ever witnessed as a 14 year veteran in the wrestling fandom.  The overall dialogue was an example of American imperialism and without a little or too much propaganda (while having the basic understanding of American imperialism), it exposed the very dated nature of the "America vs foreign heel" storyline.  Let's move on to the positives. Miro's booking in recent months has been exc...

NXT Takeover: Stand And Deliver Night 2 | A Coherent Review.

While I prefer night one of NXT Takeover: Stand And Deliver ( check out the review here ), night 2 did bring in some solid encounters from talented performers.  Images via WWE.com Santos Escobar vs Jordan Devlin For The Cruiserweight Championship In A Ladder Match.  This opening encounter was pretty fun to witness. During the match, Devlin delivered a sick looking moonsault shades of Kurt Angle ala the early 2000s from the top of the ladder to Escobar.  Speaking of moves from the ladder, Devlin nailed a Spanish fly.  The match concluded with Escobar pushing Devlin that had the Irishmen land through a ladder to which Escobar grabbed both belts to crown himself the undisputed cruiserweight champion.  I'm surprised that the folks over at the yellow made the decision to have Santos win this match given that he's too good to be in that division and he should be in the main event scene or even in the North American title picture at the very least.  However, I ain...

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...
