WWE Smackdown 3/12/21 | A Coherent Review.

Another meh episode of Smackdown and this is probably the part where I slap my head and say, “HERE’S WHY!”.

My Man Brook Shagner Told Sami Zayn, "Why Can't You Face Roman Reigns Tonight Instead Of Day One?"

The witty headline above pretty much described the entire opening although it wasn't as in-depth as a Wrestling Inc article or something.

Sami Zayn followed through Brick's advice but the former universal champion laid waste on Sami with a good old F5.

That gave the tribal chief the opportunity to nail the spear and the guillotine to quickly retain the blue belt.

Seeing all of this unfold, makes me miss the babyface Sami Zayn I know and love. From that character point of view, it's so depressing to see him in that position.

You could say the same thing about Will Smith right now with Jada.

All bad humour aside, it'll be interesting to see where Paul Heyman's loyalty lie on.

Sasha Banks vs Shayna Baszler.

A Wrestlemania worthy main event calibre match if Shayna Baszler hasn't had a rocky main roster run.

Nevertheless, it was a good match. A very good match as a matter of opinion. Banks wins with the most protective move in pro wrestling, a schoolboy roll-up.

The Viking Raiders vs Los Lotharios.

The match ended via an inside cradle from Angel to Erik after Rick Boogs tried to distract Angel.

Wait. Somebody actually overcame the distraction finish!? That has to be a cap, right?

Oh, and Viking Raiders danced along with Shinsuke and Rick Boogs even though they were the reason why they lost the match. I guess the powers of Valhalla included the power of positivity.

Jeff Hardy and Drew McIntyre ruined Happy Talk which sounds either really good or really bad out of context.

I, for one, think that scene was really dull.

More comic book strips with Xia Li continues and like all of those vignettes, it's well-produced but I just can't see her being utilized greatly for more than a month or so.

King Woods vs Jey Uso.

A good match is all I'll say about this. The bout ended with a DQ because Jimmy Uso made Woods slip onto the ring apron but fortunately for the king, his loyal knight came to aid the monarch himself.

I mean, I can't complain about a New Day and Usos match again so I do not have any pessimism about this feud.

Sheamus vs Cesaro.

Former members of The Bar battled it out in a solid exhibition.

Sheamus defeated "it's my time to shine for the millionth time" Cesaro with the brogue kick.

And the final segment of the episode is Charlotte getting a pie thrown out by Toni Storm. I hate the fact that a feud between two talented performers revolves around pie-throwing.

So, to recap all of you slow mofos.

Like: the in-ring work from the likes of Sasha Banks and Shayna Baszler, Sheamus and Cesaro, Woods and Jey Uso.

Didn’t like: The sad state of Sami Zayn’s character, Whatever the hell is a Happy Talk.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
