WWE Smackdown 12/11/21 | A Coherent Review.

While there were a few redeeming qualities about this week's episode of Smackdown, the show as a whole was kinda bleh to me.

Chaos Ensued Amongst The SmackDown Women's Survivor Series Team.

Sonya Deville introduced the participants in the women's Smackdown Survivor Series team to which a brawl ensued after Sasha Banks wanted to beat up Shotzi. Naomi came out to even the odds between the heels and the babyfaces in that scene.

And you know what all of that means? A 6 women tag team match, Playas.

By far, the most impressive person in this match was Naomi. The finesse she showed with her series of kicks was *chefs kiss*.

Speaking of impressive, the crowd was BEHIND Aliyah and that's cool.

Naomi's assistance led to Aliyah pinning Natalya to win the entire match. I said "Naomi's assistance" for a reason because as soon as that victory, Aliyah was taken out of the Survivor Series team.

God damn, Sonya Deville legit hates POCs succeeding. First Naomi now ALIYAH!?

All lame banter aside, I've mentioned my complaints about the segments involving Naomi, Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler and how it felt like the "groundhog day" of wrestling segments.

And I'm somewhat glad that they're trying something different that isn't "Naomi faces Shayna Baszler only for Sonya Deville to interfere".

Shinsuke Nakamura And Rick Boogs vs Angel Garza And Humberto Carrillo.

The family tag-team duo in Garza and Carrillo continues to build some good old momentum as they once again, won a match.

More wins mean more good for performers like Garza and Carrillo.

In an in-ring scene from Charlotte Flair, she did the exact opposite of the word "compliment" regarding Becky Lynch to which Toni Storm came out for a title opportunity and Charlotte was like, "Nah".

The match is going to happen at some point. It's just that the focus right now is on an inter-promotional match and like all of those matches at Survivor Series, it doesn't have any stakes whatsoever that keeps this wannabe wrestling pundit interested.

Jinder Mahal and Shanky replied to Hit Row's rhythmic talents with a freestyle rap of their own. For the second week in a row, I legit felt B Fab's lack of presence because she was the glue that stuck the entire group together. Again, what an awful decision to release her.

Jeff Hardy vs Sami Zayn.

God damn, I do not know who do I feel sorry for someone losing like that, Sami Zayn or my hairline.

Jeff Hardy wins as if you guys were even curious about who won the match.

Roman Reigns vs King Xavier Woods.

A match that should've happened on PPV and it happened on television. I'm not a fan of "having a PPV level feud facing each other in a mediocre match on TV with a DQ finish/distraction finish only to have the ACTUAL good match on PPV".

That's exactly what happened in the main event encounter. It's a shame that I'm nitpicking given that the feud is a great example of minimal and effective storytelling with "who's the real leader of WWE".

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Naomi's performance in the 6 women tag team match, WWE is finally doing the bare minimum with Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.

Didn't like: The main event was disappointing in terms of its booking.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
