WWE RAW 1/11/21 | A Coherent Review.

The red brand delivered a solid episode this week just like the rest of the recent episodes as of late.

I don't know if the white ring ropes had something to do with the recent quality of episodes or not.  Either way, I'll consume it, I guess.

Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair For The RAW Women's Championship.

A match that should've main evented the show given the performers and even the championship itself.

To the surprise of no one, Becky Lynch retained the raw women's championship due to Lynch pushing Belair onto the top turnbuckle followed by a roll-up.

The finish was kinda bleh to me. Don't get me wrong, I like the match and I don't hate Belair taking a loss at some point because, in professional wrestling, a wrestler either wins or loses (unless your name is Shayna Baszler in that you lose pretty much all the damn time).

But, After all of the build-up and the intrigue surrounding the match, the finish felt so flat and underwhelming.

That backstage segment with Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan though? Now that's worthy of a two eyes emoji.

Austin Theory vs Rey Mysterio.

So, Austin went from fighting one old jumping man a few weeks back to another. Cool.

The referee saw Dominik Mysterio slap the sh*t out of Austin Theory and that is how Rey Mysterio got DQed, giving the young creep the good old W.

Seth Rollins Used The Word "You People" More Times Than An Average Bigot.

After Seth gave a "next time" for his WWE championship match against Big E, Kevin Owens called Big E out for a non-title match (which was really good, by the way).

The main event attraction of the episode, ended with a crucifix pin from Big E which was reversed from a pin cover from Owens after a cheap shot by Rollins to Big E.

Big E didn't like that so he gave the Quebecer a big ending (if that ending was going to the elite but that wasn't the case here).

I'm glad that WWE is finally doing something with Kevin Owens because the dude has been going through the motions ever since he feuded with Roman Reigns a year ago.

The match between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins should be great.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually looking forward to something on RAW. That sentence should have not been uttered.

Another sentence that should have not been uttered is, "according to Ringsidenews".

I could add something regarding the 24/7 championship shenanigans that happened but the scene is so irrelevant, y'all wouldn't point out a missing piece of my review (y'all? You have 2 viewers bruh. You ain't Wrestling Inc, my guy).

Rhea Ripley And Nikki A.S.H vs Queen Zelina Vega And Carmella.

A passable match that didn't do much for me. The heels win with a sunset flip from Vega. They're actually doing a decent job with Zelina Vega's persona. That's nice.

Finn Balor vs Chad Gable.

A match so random yet so fun. If I had to critique, it's probably the fact that it's a little too short for my wrestling liking.

Balor won the match with an inside cradle.

The ending was kinda confusing seeing that a loss from Gable wouldn't hurt him all that much.

The Street Profits vs Robert Roode And Dolph Ziggler.

A match I've seen so many times, it honestly feels like groundhog day at times.

You wanna know something better? It ended with a distraction finish. Nice! Can't wait to see the wrestling version of "getting cucked" for the gazillionth time.

Omos distracted Montez Ford to which he destroyed Montez and Riddle wanted to fight back but Omos' threw one-half of the tag team champions like a paper waste.

Remember. Riddle isn't known for his wise choice of words or decisions, people!

The last thing to air about this match before the main event was the No DQ match between Damian Priest and T-Bar (WHY CAN'T Y'ALL GAVE THE GUY HIS CROATIAN A** NAME BACK!?).

After Priest defeated T-Bar, Apollo Crews was like, "I'm going to be the champion, you fool!"

Who wants to see Apollo being booked weak as champion again if he does win the US title? The answer is probably Ryan Satin.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Finn Balor vs Chad Gable, Big E vs Kevin Owens, Bianca Belair vs Becky Lynch for the RAW women's championship.

Didn't like: The ending of the RAW WOMEN'S championship match felt disappointingly flat, some of the same old booking decisions like distraction finishes.

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
