Few News I Guess: Brief Thoughts On Survivor Series 2021.

Since last week's news were as slow as……………. That's actually a lie considering the unfortunate mass release and the fact that my mental health has been through the roof for the past couple of days (thanks random anxiety attacks, appreciate it).

Some NXT Superstars Getting NAME Changes!?

Trademarking their names only to let them go mere months later. Yay!

Anywho, here are the name changes for some of the NXT wrestlers/other talents (from PWInsider):

Mei Ying aka Wendy Choo.

Kellie Morgan aka Mila Malani.

Aja Smith aka Daphne Lashaunn.

DA Brewer aka Dallas Irvin.

Tom Castor aka Derek Sanders.

Cooooooool.

WWE's Mexico Office Going To CLOSE??

Yes, people. Like any other exploitative multinational corporation, WWE has an office base in Mexico specifically in the country's capital, Mexico City which was opened in the early 00s.

A report was published by the city's metropolitan site Periódico Correo regarding WWE shutting down their office over there *Dr Umar Johnston's voice* FOR GOOD!

Wrestling Inc (aka the OG copy paste site) reached out to Titan Towers and they pretty much went like, "Nah. It ain't true. The base isn't closing."

Do I think I believe in world wrestling entertainment here? Hell Nah, ninjas due to one reason. They legit closed down their Japanese office a few months ago.

That's it. That's the take.

Brief Thoughts On Survivor Series 2021.

This is the first time I've skipped reviewing a WWE PPV as a whole in quite some time.

The reason? Well, one, this was supposed to be my brief thoughts on Smackdown and two, this PPV has been given the same amount of love and care in terms of its build-up as WWE 2K20.

Now how was this year's Survivor Series? In short, it was aight. There was nothing about this show that stood out to me other than the opening contest.

Vince McMahon showed up with a golden egg-like, "see guys, If you can get at my level, you could just let go of the majority of your workers just to buy THIS!"

The opening match was awesome. The "shoot, pew cowboys" type of action here worked well in this case.

Kevin Owens left his team hanging like how most people left me hanging after a handshake attempt (a**holes).

You know who could replace Owens and be a worthy challenger? Old man Adam Sessler because why not, right (for those unaware, this was a G4 reference)?

By the way, I saw a comment somewhere regarding the men's Survivor Series team saying, "I don't like those males" and for some reason, it made me laugh.

I know the battle royal was one big Pizza Hut commercial but you gotta give them credit, at least they didn't sponsor the klan pizza in Papa John’s.

Oh, and the main event was aight.

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy? Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
