WWE NXT 1/6/21 | A Coherent Review.

Hey, look. NXT just delivered yet another enjoyable wrestling show.

Kyle O'Reilly vs Pete Dunne vs Johnny Gargano. Number One Contender's Match For The NXT Championship.

NXT started off the program with a high profiled, action-packed encounter that I heavily enjoyed.

Adam Cole with the "doomer mentality" took out everyone in the match which led to William Regal along with a bunch of security guards, stopping Cole from additional attack.

Later in the night, Adam Cole got a word with the NXT champion Karrion Kross and he basically said, "I'm just……..better than you, bro".

Kross responded saying that he wants to face EVERYONE in that number one contender’s match.

Cole's unapologetic confidence was the highlight of the episode.

Yes, he hasn't won a lot of matches to get to the champion scene in the first place but the way NXT told that story somehow made sense.

Ember Moon Calls Out Raquel Gonzalez Then…….

Ember managed to nail Gonzalez with a series of kicks onto the champ's face. Speaking of kicks, Ember received some from Dakota Kai.

Ember Moon's backstage promo, confirms that we're getting a women's championship between Ember Moon And Raquel Gonzalez and I do not hate it at all.

I think Ember is a great opponent for the champ, to be honest.

LA Knight vs Jake Atlas.

LA Knight is going back to his losing ways as seen in this match taking an L thanks to an impressive looking top rope from Jake Atlas.

In a video scene from Xia Li (that rhymed for some reason), Li stated that she doesn't forget the way Mercedes Martinez disrespected her going back to their first encounter at the first-ever Mae Young Classic.

Martinez responded to that promo saying that she'll beat her at Takeover: In Your House 2 just like Mae Young Classic. I love the use of continuity in their promos. It enhances the feud.

Kushida vs Carmelo Hayes For The Cruiserweight Championship.

This is the first time I'm seeing Carmelo wrestle and he's really goooooood. The match was a bit short yet fun to watch. Kushida retains the championship.

Franky Monet is reading all of the glowing reviews of her "world premiere". The woman is f**king good at her job so I agree with all of the positive takes about her.

Seeing the Diamond Mine vignettes and I honestly do not know who it is but I'm pretty sure it isn't Parker Bordeaux.

The Way In Candice LeRae And Indi Hartwell vs Zoey Stark And Zayda Ramier.

The bout was okay. Nothing too notable happened in this. After defeating the team of Stark and Ramier, LeRae told Indi Hartwell to forget about Dexter Lumis.

*Whispering "calm down, Omar". It's not worth the anger”*.

Msk vs Legado De La Fantasma For The NXT Tag Team Championship.

A fantastic tag team title match with a lot of exciting high spots.

The shenanigans outside the ring from Bronson Reed and Santos Escobar did not stop Msk from walking out of the CWC still as the tag team champions.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Adam Cole’s character arc, Msk vs Legado De La Fantasma For The NXT Tag Team Championship, A nice use of continuity in the Xia Li and Mercedes Martinez promos, Carmelo Hayes is a gooooood wrestler, Kyle O'Reilly vs Pete Dunne vs Johnny Gargano. Number One Contender's Match For The NXT Championship.

Didn't like: LA Knight losing.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
