WWE NXT 15/6/21 | A Coherent Review.

This is probably one of the best wrestling TV episodes of the year. I had fun watching NXT this week from start to finish and here's why.

William Regal Encountered A Familiar Individual.

Karrion Kross with his antagonising promo towards Regal, proves to all of the people that said, "iS kRoss a hEEl oR A bAbYfAce!?" That the dude is indeed portraying himself as a piece of shite.

Out came the returning Samoa Joe and he was offered by Willaim Regal to be an enforcer. Regal was about to quit but Joe's presence got him to change his mind.

It is so oddly nostalgic to hear Samoa Joe utter William Regal's name like that. While it had a predictable outcome (those God damn dirt sheets ruining everything including my entertainment for some reason), the segment did just do one thing.

It simply put a smile on my face. I think it would be extra cool if they replaced Regal with Samoa Joe as GM but I ain't complaining.

Breezango vs Imperium.

Nice to see some decent tag team action that showcases what their tag team division is all about.

Breezango won the match with an inside cradle to which they were immediately attacked *Michael Cole's voice* from behind to get their heat back of some sort.

In Samoa Joe's first task as an enforcer, he broke up a brawl between Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly. Joe chokes Cole out with the coquina clutch.

If a principal had an enforcer like Samoa Joe, I'm pretty certain that they wouldn't be a school fight anymore because man, Samoa Joe is intimating as f**k.

Santos Escobar wants Bronson Reed to challenge him for the North American championship.

Bruh, you just lost. What makes you think WWE would give you a championship opportunity? It's not like they've never done that before, right!?

There's a battery logo shown in a teaser of a vignette and honestly, I have no idea who it is for.

Kushida vs Trey Baxter For The Cruiserweight Championship.

Hey, look. This was a fun cruiserweight championship match. Kyle O'Reilly was watching Kushida defeat Baxter on the entrance ramp. O'Reilly challenged Kushida to an exhibition next week.

Oh my God. Oh my God. Oh my God. I think I just came. I've been waiting for this match since Kushida showed up to NXT.

The fact that it didn't happen sooner is a crime but I'm definitely looking forward to the match.

In a backstage promo, Mercedes Martinez wasn't having it with Tian Sha, saying that she's beat anyone involved with Sha.

Franky Monet was telling Aliyah and Jessi Kamea that Robert Stone is holding them back as performers.

The turn is happening guys. Please credit this site for more scoops that have obvious conclusions!

Raquel Gonzalez And Dakota Kai vs Kacy Catanzaro And Kayden Carter.

The bad guys won. It's as predictable as anything really.

LA Knight Turns On Ted Dibiase.

LA Knight gave a speech that respected the million dollar man only to do the exact opposite with a beatdown onto the old man in a typical heel move.

Cameron Grimes immediately showed up to the rescue and threw LA Knight out of the ring.

Yo, am I actually buying Grimes as a babyface because that's exactly how I'm feeling right now (get it? Buying? Million dollar man? Million dollar championship?)?

Speaking of people coming to the rescue, Io Shirai was attacked by Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell but Io was rescued by her newly formed acquaintance, Zoey Stark.

I'm quite impressed by the idea of this feud ever since that scene took place. It gives all of these women something to do and the rescue at the end was a great example of long term storytelling kinda paying it off.

The so-called "Diamond Mine" has been delivering vignettes for weeks now and it's announced that the Diamond Mine is coming next week. Will see what happens.

Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher vs Grizzled Young Veterans In A Tornado Tag Team Match.

Hey, look. A great match has happened, people! The team of Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher wins here.

Maybe this might lead to a feud with the NXT tag team champions?

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Samoa Joe, the tornado tag team match, the Io Shirai/Zoey Stark/The Way feud, Cameron Grimes as a babyface, Kushida vs Trey Baxter.

Didn't like: Nothing.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
