WWE RAW 10/5/21 | A Coherent Review.

It feels like an eternity since I reviewed a wrestling show and what better way to restart that journey than by talking about Monday Night RAW (that last sentence is clear sarcasm because "better way" and Monday Night RAW is an oxymoron at this point).

So, how was the visual Nyquil that was Monday Night RAW at least for this week? It's still a mediocre show but I didn't completely hate it (the keyword is "completely" guys).

Asuka, Mandy Rose And Dana Brooke vs Charlotte Flair, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

A match that I've seen a gazillion times but the "difference" is that Charlotte Flair is in the mix with the bad guys instead of Rhea Ripley.

Alexa Bliss randomly showed up and controlled Shayna's leg as if Bliss had the powers of Magneto by controlling Shayna's iron in her blood or something.

Because of that, Asuka nailed a roundhouse kick to the queen of spades to win the match only for Asuka to take a kick from Charlotte Flair mere minutes later.

What on Omni Man's power did I just witness? I think Bliss has done a good job in terms of her performance.

But, the current angle that Bliss got going on to quote Randy Jackson on American Idol, is a no for me dawg.

Riddle had a chat with The New Day and after Randy Orton joined in the conversation, Orton made the conversation so damn weird by claiming that the things that Orton finds joy in are ending careers, destroying legends and setting things on fire.

It's as if WWE is trying to parody Randy Orton's current portrayal on television and I'm not gonna lie, it is by far, the most clever yet hilarious thing WWE has ever done with this program.

As far as my brief thoughts on RKBro, it's probably the best thing about the red brand.

Randy's seriousness adds to the chemistry he has with Riddle's sheer goofiness.

MVP had a talk with Braun Strowman about business. Cool. This main event storyline is such a dud. There's literally no stakes or plot twists that are worth my investment.

Jinder Mahal vs Jeff Hardy.

The modern-day maharajah is back and with an upgrade in recruiting Indus Sher. The dude defeated Hardy with ease.

It's unfortunate to see Jeff Hardy in an underutilized, losing position.

Elias, Jaxson Ryker, AJ Styles And Omos vs The New Day, Riddle And Randall Keith Orton.

This match and the matches before, REALLY exposed Adnan Vik's lack of the play by play side of his commentary.

Bryon Saxton and Corey Graves were calling the action as if they were two play by play guys with one mediocre colour commentator.

In other words, Adnan Vik sucks at his job.

The 8 man tag team match was aight. The good guys win with an RKO to Elias.

That led to Randy delivering an RKO to both members of the New Day and Riddle wasn't happy.

Sheamus vs Humberto Carrillo.

Speaking of matches that I've seen a gazillion times. Carrillo landed pretty horribly on the outside with that sunset flip on the outside which led to the referee stopping the match.

The Dong Lord himself, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful said on Twitter that the ending of this encounter wasn't intentional.

Thankfully, Humberto is okay according to PWInsider and Mikey Johnson.

Drew Gulak was mad at Angel Garza for shoving a rose onto Gulak's you know where.

If you've read this sentence out of context, it sounds like an angle that you would hear from a TDW game.

Cedric Alexander vs Shelton Benjamin.

Those two talented guys will definitely be stuck in the underutilized purgatory aka catering next week.

I will say, this match was pretty good. That roundhouse kick from Cedric Alexander will never get tiresome.

Alexander's trash talk cost him the match as he was defeated with the rarely used T-bone suplex from Shelton Benjamin.

Damian Priest vs John Morrison.

Yet another tease at a possible breakup between Johnny Drip Drip and Mz M. I. Z. How 2009 of you, WWE.

Priest defeated Morrison with the reckoning and that was followed by another one from Priest. Cool.

Asuka vs Rhea Ripley.

Despite some outside tension between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair, Ripley picked up the victory with the riptide in an alright exhibition.

The only thing that makes this feud somewhat interesting is Charlotte Flair herself.

I know it's too early to judge but Ripley's reign as champion has been botched terribly and the dialogue that she's working with isn't enhancing her character.

If anything, it's diminishing the Rhea Ripley character that I know and appreciate.

More vignettes were played for the woman that was once known as  "all red everything", Eva Marie. I CANNOT wait to sh*t all over her millionth re-debut because why not?

If she indeed proves me wrong, I'll be the first person to give credit where credit is due. Until then, I'll continue slandering Eva Marie like a bad Comedy Central roasting session because like Pete Davidson, I am an unfunny piece of sh*t.

Drew McIntyre vs Bob Lashley.

A decent match yet I've not witnessed anything that was different or noteworthy.

Braun Strowman ended the match via a DQ and destroyed both guys, standing tall in the process.

As I've mentioned earlier, this feud is basically a total BORE but at least they made a somewhat of an effort to build Strowman as a legitimate threat going into the triple threat match despite the fact that the big man ain't winning the match and walking out the PPV as WWE champion.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Cedric Alexander vs Shelton Benjamin, the backstage segment involving Riddle and Randy Orton.

Didn't like: The character building of Rhea Ripley, the weird sh*t from Alexa Bliss controlling Shayna Baszler's legs, the main event feud lacks any intrigue or investment, Adnan Vik sucks at his job (that line made me laugh for some reason),  Jeff Hardy's current utilization.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
