WWE NXT 17/5/21 | A Coherent Review.

The show as a whole was as per usual with NXT, pretty good and here’s why.

A video promoting Karrion Kross and Finn Balor's second encounter for the championship was how the show opened.

Ever since NXT moved to the USA network, the quality of their video promotions has definitely increased.

The widescreen aspect ratio especially, makes their vignettes look a WHOLE lot better.

Toni Storm vs Zoey Stark.

Zoey Stark has been in the upper card position when it comes to the women's division since her first appearance on the yellow brand.

So, it's really odd that she lost in her first major feud. Bit, I will say, the match was pretty good for the most part.

Toni defeated Zoey Stark with a unique modified DDT that looked so damn impressive but in my opinion, NOTHING in her arsenal beats the storm zero finish.

The NXT women's tag team champions were enjoying themselves in a spa (still can't forgive The Way for brainwashing Indi Hartwell into hating Dexter Lumis).

After their session was done, Candice's purchase for that spa session was declined and had the most personal yet unrealistic conversation I've ever seen regarding a credit card declining its purchase with the receptionist.

The last time the card was used was in a florist. Indi made the conclusion that Dexter Lumis loves her.

YES INDI, KEEP THE HOPES UP! DEXTER DOES LOVE YOU! DON'T LISTEN TO THE WAY! CREATE YOUR OWN WAY WITH DEXTER LUMIS!

And people say that some things in wrestling aren't "believable" and my question is, explain that part of the segment where LeRae is casually talking about her credit card use to a God damn stranger?

Cameron Grimes vs Jake Atlas.

Ted DiBiase cost Grimes the match, leading to a victory for the underutilized Jake Atlas.

Yes, this is a typical WWE distraction finish however, this was done in a hilarious fashion due to my current enjoyment surrounding this storyline.

Arash Markazi had another sit-down interview on NXT TV and in this case, it was with Pete Dunne.

Dunne answered Markazi's questions regarding the inspiration of his in-ring style, the word "respect" and goals for the future.

This is the second time that I've been impressed with Arash Markazi's interviewing style.

It came off so natural and maintains continuous respect between the interviewer and the interviewee which is rare to see on WWE TV.

Killian Dain vs Alexander Wolfe.

Former alliances colliding in an okay affair.

Wolf's miscommunications with the rest of Imperium partners led to a loss for Wolfe to which he was attacked *Michael Cole's voice* from behind by his own partners of Imperium.

Will see what happens from there because I literally have no idea what happens next.

Legado De La Fantasma vs Tommaso Ciampa And Timothy Thatcher.

The team of Legado De La Fantasma picked up the victory in a good tag team match that didn't need a distraction from the Grizzled Young Veterans.

In an interview with McKenzie Mitchell,   Bobby Fish didn't show up to save Kyle O'Reilly but rather he wanted a piece of Pete Dunne.

O'Reilly has nobody now and it's quite frankly, sad.

Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai told McKenzie Mitchell later in the night that they're eyeing on the NXT women's tag team championship (which is what Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon are also eyeing on).

Oh, and Raquel embarrassed the team of Ever-Rise. Cool.

Sarray defeated Aliyah with ease. There's nothing to note about it regarding the match that isn't worth writing a heading.

Hit Row Made The Universe Know Who They Are.

After Hit Row won their match against Tony Nese and Ayria Davari, they wanted to tell us that Hit Row are taking spots and taking shots.

It's worth noting that Isiah Swerve Scott mentioned that he's going to be watching the North American title match real close.

Johnny Gargano vs Bronson Reed For The North American Championship.

A fun main event encounter with a satisfying conclusion. Despite the attempted distraction from Austin Theory, it didn’t affect the big man as he nailed the Tsumani to become the new North American championship.

As a fan of Bronson Reed since I first saw him at the NXT breakout tournament, it is awesome that I’m rewarded with an emotional, satisfying ending after almost 2 years of investment in the Reed character.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Johnny Gargano vs Bronson Reed For The North American Championship, Pete Dunne interview, the ending of the Cameron Grimes vs Jake Atlas match, Legado De La Fantasma vs Tommaso Ciampa And Timothy Thatcher, Toni Storm vs Zoey Stark.

Didn’t like: Nothing really.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

NXT Takeover: 30 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeovers have delivered greatly throughout the "30 years" of Takeover shows.  This one, in my opinion, wasn't it. For a Takeover program, this was disappointing.  All of the Takeovers are A's or B's and Takeover 30 was a C at best.  At least, I like the stage production set.  pictures via WWE.com PRESHOW: Breezango vs Legado De La Fantasma vs Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. Winner Faces Imperium For The NXT Tag Team Championship.  It was a fine match. Joaquin Wilde's ring gear was really cool even though it took a bit out of the seriousness from the Legado De La Fantasma stable. I'm just nitpicking though.  Breezango actually won the match and will go on to face Imperium for the tag belts.  MAIN SHOW: Finn Balor vs Timothy Thatcher.  Timothy Thatcher started off this match with a series of punches which he then later transitioned into various submission moves.  Pretty much, Finn has no choice but to adapt to...
