WWE RAW 8/3/21 | A Coherent Review.

This episode was the definition of the word, "skippable" because there was absolutely nothing that made me gasped or intrigued.

Bobby Lashley vs The Miz For The WWE Championship.

Before the encounter happened, Lashley spoke with Sarah Schreiber about his title win last week, saying that the era of the almighty begins.

Meanwhile, Miz is more than just unhappy.  He was FURIOUS about the way he lost the WWE championship, calling it unfair.

With Sami Zayn, Braun Strowman and now Miz, questioning WWE's authority,  they should definitely form a stable or something.

This bout lasted longer than it needed to be. Lashley retains because of course, he did.

Drew was about to give an ultimatum until Sheamus attacked him. A pissed off wanted Adam Pearce to book a NO DQ match between himself and the whitey. Peace gave that match a go.

Why repeat the storyline? Because, WWE got nothing to write about this week.

I'm hoping this is the blowoff of this rivalry but I can't trust WWE on fulfilling my hopes.

R Truth apologized to Braun Strowman and Strowman didn't want him to apologize but rather Shane McMahon.

Not gonna lie, this was a funny backstage bit. Speaking of which……...

Braun Strowman Demanded An Apology From Shane O.

Why? For basically treating him like crap according to the big man.

And out came Shane McMahon and he apologized to Braun Strowman.

To quote Bryon Saxton after that segment aired, "that's it?"

There was a segment between those two men later in the night and in it, Shane called Braun "stupid" in the weirdest of ways.

Monday Night RAW is so mediocre with their storytelling for the most part that I can't even react to certain segments with frustration like this.

Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus In A No Disqualifications Match.

This match RULEDUH. I have to give Sheamus props for delivering excellent matches as of late.

This is Sheamus' best run from an in-ring perspective.

Due to the brutal nature of this match, both men were out and the match ended in a no contest.

We're definitely getting a rematch at Fastlane. Please, credit me with this exclusive news.

Shelton Benjamin vs Xavier Woods.

Ya boys, The New Day, are getting a RAW tag team title match against The Hurt Business' Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander.

I wouldn't be surprised if The New Day regained the titles because, Monday Night RAW, am I right?

Woods picked up the victory with an inside cradle. Cool.

Riddle vs SlapJack.

Ricky Bobb…….I mean, Riddle, took the W in an alright match.

Shayna Baszler And Nia Jax vs Naomi And Lana For The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

Who do you think won the match?

In case y'all want to know who won for some reason, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax retained the titles thanks to some assistance from Carmella's former sommelier, Reggie (I know that's not what WWE calls him but I thought it was funny).

Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke and Mandy Rose talked about how they deserve a RAW women's championship opportunity. Cool.

AJ Styles vs Randy Orton.

This match came about when AJ Styles made fun of what Randy's going through with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss in a backstage interview.

So, Orton heard the guy's jokes and decided to challenge him to a singles contest.

The match was fine. Bliss' woodo powers affected Randy Orton yet again and because of it, Styles won the match.

This storyline went from "it's so ridiculous, it's great" to "it's so Goddamn weird" and not in an " its good weird" or " its bad weird", it's just weird (so many "it's" in a short paragraph).

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Drew McIntyre vs Sheamus No DQ Match.

Didn't like: A whole lot of nothing.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Did NXT Just Delivered Their Best Go Home Show!?, A Fantastic AEW Dynamite Main Event.

Did I just witness the best NXT go home show ever?  The answer my friends is yes.  While I prefer NXT this week, AEW Dynamite wasn't bad either and a big step up compared to the series of bore-fest shows they produced.  NXT   Highlights.  Msk vs Legado De La Fantasma. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament SemiFinals.  God damn. What a way to start off the NXT before Vengeance Day.  Unique offensives from Msk is why that tag team is growing on me pretty quickly.  And luckily for them, they advance to the finals which will be conducted at Takeover: Vengeance Day with a double team manoeuvre.  Xia Li Continues To Dominate.  I've been a fan of whatever NXT is doing with this angle and it's mainly because they're embracing the cinematic scripted nature of the business which is what some consider "unrealistic" for some reason.  And yet, they don't mind The Undertaker shooting lightning-like Static Shock at Royal Rumble 2006 but he...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...
