The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: A Fantastic Mixed Tag Team Match, What? ADAM PEARCE!?

AEW Dynamite has disappointed me as of late.

So, I'm really happy to say that the elite brand delivered this week. That is not to say that NXT was bad though. It was actually a decent show.

NXT

Highlights.

Roderick Strong Blames Finny For The Destruction Of The Undisputed Era.

Yep, Roderick said it. Balor challenged Adam Cole for the championship next week to which he tells Roddy that he'll always be a follower.

Strong snapped and it led to a brawl between two guys.

Later in the night, they had a brutal match and in the end, the champ prevailed.

Other than Smackdown, NXT has an intriguing main event scene right now that itches me to watch next week's show.

Shayna Baszler And Nia Jax vs Dakota Kai And Raquel Gonzalez For The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship.

This is the best tag match I've seen from Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler's reign as champions.

One of the best aspects of this bout were showcased during the commercial break in picture and picture.

The women's tag team champion retained the titles with Shayna hooking in the Kirifuda clutch on Dakota Kai however, Kai wasn't the one legal person but rather Raquel.

RAW Referee Shawn Bennett, made the count thanks to Adam Pearce since the ref was knocked out.

We're definitely getting a rematch, right? RIGHT!?

Some Other Things That Happened.

Timothy Thatcher And Tommaso Ciampa lost to Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch -  I was afraid that they would give the W to Thatcher and Ciampa but they didn't and I'm glad it didn't happen.

Ember Moon defeated Aliyah - It was meh.

The Way Are Taking A Therapy Session - Johnny was out of the therapy room because of the way (get it?) He communicated with the therapist.

Austin Theory explained to the therapist regarding Dexter Lumis kidnapping him and he liked it, saying that he ate cereal and watched cartoons.

The therapist revealed to him that she spoke with Lumis and she quoted Lumis' not so nice words to Austin.

Theory cried a lot and that's how the segment ended. I don’t feel sorry for the guy.

LA Knight Makes A Verbal Statement - This entire promo was LA Knight glowing about himself and honestly, it was decent.

Bronson Reed lost to Cameron Grimes - Thanks to an assist by LA Knight. It looks like LA Knight's first rivalry is with the big man himself. I don't mind it.

Legado De La Fantasma attacked two tag teams - Cool.

AEW

Highlights.

Cody Rhodes And Red Velvet vs Jade Cargill And Shaquille O'Neal.

Aka The biggest surprise I've ever witnessed since the time I watched Paddington for the first time.

That moonsault from Red Velvet was EVERYTHING!

Cody and Shaq went through two tables that were set up by some members of Cody's nightmare family.

Because of Jade's finishing move aka the Glam slam, Cargill and Big Shaq picked up the victory.

Shaq was the highlight and so was Red Velvet. What a match indeed.

Chris Jericho And MJF Revolution Press Conference.

This scene went 0 to a 100 real f**king quick.

The Young Bucks came out and they basically told Jericho and MJF that if it wasn’t for AEW, Chris Jericho would be in the performance centre while MJF would be unemployed. And of course, it led to a brawl.

I get that Jericho and MJF beat up their Dad last week but God damn, Jackson bros.

The Jurassic Express vs FTR And Tully Blanchard.

What a fun 6 man tag team match. Tully didn't do all that much in this match which I don't mind, obviously.

A masked person is what made FTR succeed in this bout.

That person was revealed as Shawn Spears.

Nyla Rose vs Ryo Mizunami. AEW Women’s Tournament Finals.

I’m glad that AEW pulled the surprise in the tournament because I was worried they would’ve given the win to Nyla Rose in a predictable outcome.

Oh, and the match was great.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Death Triangle In Rey Fenix And Pac defeated D3 and John Skyler quickly - Meh.

Paul Wright Said That Somebody Is Coming At Revolution Who's A Hall Of Fame Talent - Wright, with the line of the night, stating quote, "who saw that turn coming?" God damn, that was funny.

Will see what happens at Revolution regarding that "hall of fame" talent.

A Brawl Between Taz's Crew, Sting And Darby Allin Before Revolution - I didn't hate.

The Acclaimed Max Caster vs Dark Order's 10. A Qualifying Match For The Revolution Ladder Match  - Meh.

Hangman Page And John Silver of The Dark Order defeated Matt Hardy And Marq Quen - It was fine for what it was.

The question is, what are some of the highlights of both episodes in your opinion? Let me know in the comments below and follow me on Twitter @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
