The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Did NXT Just Delivered Their Best Go Home Show!?, A Fantastic AEW Dynamite Main Event.

Did I just witness the best NXT go home show ever?

The answer my friends is yes.

While I prefer NXT this week, AEW Dynamite wasn't bad either and a big step up compared to the series of bore-fest shows they produced.

NXT

Highlights.

Msk vs Legado De La Fantasma. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament SemiFinals.

God damn. What a way to start off the NXT before Vengeance Day.

Unique offensives from Msk is why that tag team is growing on me pretty quickly.

And luckily for them, they advance to the finals which will be conducted at Takeover: Vengeance Day with a double team manoeuvre.

Xia Li Continues To Dominate.

I've been a fan of whatever NXT is doing with this angle and it's mainly because they're embracing the cinematic scripted nature of the business which is what some consider "unrealistic" for some reason.

And yet, they don't mind The Undertaker shooting lightning-like Static Shock at Royal Rumble 2006 but hey, we're all hypocrites in our own ways.

Xia Li squashed yet another opponent to which she took out her former friends in Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter.

Cameron Grimes Is Back and He Got MONEEEEY!

The reason why he's wealthy all over sudden is that he invested in Gamestop's stock and dogecoin.

This segment was f'ing hilarious. This dude is a definition of a goofy heel and I love it.

Another great thing about all of this is that Grimes recommended Robinhood on his Twitter-like the authentic heel he is.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Is Johnny Gargano Really Injured? - Nah but I do agree with Johnny Gargano checking in his own doctors instead of the WWE ones.

Kushida took out Johnny Gargano as well as his buddy Austin Theory before the women's Dusty Rhodes tag team classic Semi-Finals bout between Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart.

Speaking of which……..

Ember Moon And Shotzi Blackheart Defeated Candice LeRae And Indi Hartwell In The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semi-Finals - I will say, Indi Hartwell had a decent showcase.

William Regal announced that the winner of the tournament will get a women's tag team championship opportunity and it makes a ton of sense.

I mean, the tournament wasn't setting up for nothing, right? (looking at you, Triple H regarding the way Charlotte Flair lost the NXT women's championship).

Kushida defeated Austin Theory - It's satisfying to watch Kushida damage Austin Theory's arm.

The match ended via a DQ because Johnny punched Kushida.

Thanks to Dexter Lumis, Kushida got to put an armbar on not only Austin Theory but the North American champion too.

Grizzled Young Veterans advanced to the Dusty Tag Team Classic Tournament Finals by Defeating Tommaso Ciampa And Timothy Thatcher - I'm surprised and if I'm being honest, I'm kinda glad that GYV won the match. It was a nice unpredictable ending to a decent main event.

AEW

Highlights.

Thunder Rosa vs Leyla Hirsh. AEW Women's World Championship Tournament.

The main reason why I'm looking forward to this episode and the episodes after is of course, the AEW women's world championship tournament.

That was a good way to kick off the tournament.

Thunder Rosa advanced in the tournament with a sitout powerslam of some sort.

After seeing this match and how impressed I was seeing Leyla Hirsh, how the hell isn't she signed with the company already!?

Although, I wish that they'll highlight the Japan side of the tournament on television instead of their YouTube channel.

Kenny Omega And Kenta vs Jon Moxley And Lance Archer.

Gotta give Excalibur kudos for explaining the gist of the feud between Kenta and Jon Moxley.

As a guy that doesn't watch NJPW, I really appreciated it.

This is a sign of good commentary that a company called world wrestling entertainment severely lacks.

You know what's also good? This match. All 6 guys beat the hell outta each other.

They fought inside the ring as well as outside which kicks in my nostalgia when I used to play the old Smackdown games.

You wanted a brawl in the kitchen while somebody uses potato as a weapon? That match got you.

The bad guys won the match to end this week's episode of Dynamite.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Darby Allin defeated Joey Janela For The TNT Championship - A decent encounter.

Unfortunately for Darby Allin, he was dragged by Taz's crew using their SUV later in the night. Sting saw this and left the stage area.

Be careful out there, Stinger.

Cody Rhodes And Lee Johnson defeated Peter Avalon And Cezar Bononi- It was aight. Oh, and congratulations to Lee Johnson for signing with AEW.

Pac defeated Ryan Nemeth - Ryan Nemeth aka Dolph Ziggler's actual brother (no f'ing sh*t, Omar). All I can say about this is the memes of the way Ryan took the rings of Saturn submission.

MJF and Chris Jericho defeated The Acclaimed - The Acclaimed with a surprisingly decent diss on MJF.

Sammy Guevara showed up after he attacked MJF in a backstage segment and he told Chris Jericho that he's done with the Inner Circle.

Sammy is now a babyface!? Will find out soon enough.

The question is, what are some of the highlights of both episodes in your opinion? Let me know in the comments below and follow me on Twitter @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, stay safe smarks.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
