WWE Smackdown 15/1/21 | A Coherent Review.

Smackdown was once again, an enjoyable 2 hours of television. I bet I blew your mind when I said that, right?

Something that blew MY mind (kind of) was the 40k OLED HDR 345000 FPS 120000 gigawatts camera they used and BOY, it was CRISPEEEE!

Jey Uso's Face To Face Confrontation With Shinsuke Nakamura.

The segment kicked off with Jey Uso's promo about his official declaration into the Royal Rumble match as well as Shinsuke Nakamura's performance last week at the Gauntlet match.

Out came Shinsuke Nakamura himself with his OG theme song which confirms that he's on the good side (no f'ing sh*t, Omar).

Nakamura called Jey Uso a puppy for Roman Reigns. The king of strong style struck first which led to a match between both guys.

The match was prettay, prettay, pretty good. Shinsuke was distracted by Cesaro's music.

The reason why his music hit?

Well, the Swiss cyborg joined as a guest commentator and the commentators asked him a bunch of questions about his absence when Nakamura took a beating from Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.

Shinsuke won the match with Kinshasa.

This entire thing was, of course, a way to establish Nakamura's singles run and damn, Smackdown's singles division especially for the men, is getting brighter and brighter each week.

Paul Heyman gave Adam Pearce a contract for the upcoming universal championship at the Royal Rumble and Pearce signed it.

Heyman complimenting Sonya Deville's perfume game was just too damn perfect.

Maybe it's the fickle wrestling fan in me talking (of course it is, Omar) but I don't mind this new assistant role that Deville is in which I wasn't too happy with last week.

The Street Profits talked about their tag team title loss in an interview with Kalya Braxton. Meh.

Roman Reigns was mentoring Apollo Crews and after he was given the contract that Pearce just signed, Roman wasn't a fan of the no DQ stipulation and instead wanted a last man standing match.

Ooh, more tease of an Apollo Crews heel turn. Just give it to me, man.

Natalya vs Liv Morgan.

By the way, Billie Kay was hilarious as a guest commentator in this match.

The match itself was solid. Unfortunately, Billie Kay cost Liv the match and that's how Natalya won the bout.

Is WWE setting up a storyline about Billie Kay trying to find her role or her wrestling purpose following the split of the IIconics? Because if so, I'm all for it.

Rey Mysterio vs King Corbin.

If this is a feud then it's a big yawn.

Anything King Corbin is an automatic "I'm not interested" for some reason.

I will say, I'm liking this mentorship storyline that they're building with Rey Mysterio and Dominik.

Corbin wins with the end of the days due to some distraction from that he caused in the first place.

The Premiere Of Bayley's "Ding Dong, Hello!" Talk Show.

Getting a talk show segment based on Bayley's catchphrase sounds funny in concept but in execution? Not so much.

Her guest of "Ding Dong, Hello!" is Bianca Belair and Bayley was bothered by Belair calling herself the EST of WWE.

So, Bayley challenged Bianca Belair to an obstacle course and Belair accepted the challenge.

The segment was just fine for what it was. Will see how the obstacle course segment pans out next week.

Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro.

Now THAT'S a Wrestlemania calibre match, WWE commentators!

Daniel Bryan showed off his agility during the encounter which surprises me for some weird reason.

Cesaro took a BIG FAT W with the neutralizer in a good old fashioned technical wrestling that I heavily enjoyed.

Sasha Banks challenged Carmella's sommelier to a match in a backstage segment. Alright.

Apollo Crews vs Sami Zayn.

Big E relaxing on a couch as a guest commentator is pretty hilarious.

Crews used the tights to win the match. The signs. The signs. The SIGNS!

Did Adam Pearce Sign The New Contract For The Universal Championship At The Royal Rumble?

Roman thought that he was going to sign the contract but Pearce swerved at the guy and called up Kevin Owens to instead sign the contract.

I could see why some people would feel that the gauntlet match was rendered useless.

However, I'll counter that by saying that the gauntlet match elevated Shinsuke Nakamura's momentum so the match did do something in the end.

It also gives the audience the unpredictable nature of storytelling that fans want in my opinion so it did its job.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Nakamura vs Jey Uso, Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro, Apollo Crews heel turn tease, Rey and Dominik mentorship storyline so far, the ending.

Didn't like: Nothing.

If you have been a fan of this site since January, then you'll know that I've completely rebooted my review process and now, I'm doing that again.  Don't worry, the format for my RAW, Smackdown and PPV reviews will still be the same but not on Wednesdays. So, here it is, My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays.  NXT The Highlights. Adam Cole vs Matt Riddle For The NXT Championship.  A match that opened this episode of the yellow brand, the original bro and the leader of The Undisputed Era tore the house down.  Whether it's Cole reversing the fireman's carry from Riddle into a backstabber, Cole hitting a Panama sunrise twice, a floating bro or the crowd chanting "Adam Cole, bro", it was a visual statement by NXT that the yellow brand is THE brand to watch.  Unfortunately,  Riddle felt short and ate the last shot but there was another highlight I wanna talk about….. Finn Balor Returns To N. X. T.  It's not a typo my friends, Finn ...

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...
