WWE TLC 2020 | A Coherent Review.

Yes, this is the 4th time this year that I've taken a week off of writing for this site but to be fair, 2020 was a God damn Hellmouth!

Anyways, I thought that WWE's last PPV of 2020 was fantastic.

I had little to no expectations going into this show and I came out of watching it liking the PPV the more I thought about what I just saw for 3 hours.

As per usual, I haven't seen the 8 man tag at the pre-show so I can't tell how I feel about it.

Drew McIntyre vs AJ Styles For The WWE Championship In A Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

The last time AJ was in a TLC match, it was actually great.

The question is, was this match even better? Yes.

During the match, McIntyre ABSOLUTELY damaged AJ's ribs with that throw on the top barricade.

Meanwhile, the phenomenal one aims to damage Drew's leg with a series of chair shots and a calf crusher using the ladder as well as a chair.

Another notable thing about this is when The Miz himself cashed in the Money In The Bank contract but didn't capture the championship thanks to AJ's assistant, Omos.

Which means the Scotsmen retained the championship.

That proves the Money In The Bank contract ladder match was a big waste of time.

It rendered that ladder match 7 months ago utterly meaningless in the end.

Nevertheless, this opening encounter was fanfreakingtastic.

Nothing but nonstop, hard-hitting action.

In an interview with Kalya Braxton, Paul Heyman loves Nascar because of the car crashes and how Kevin Owens will get hurt in the universal championship TLC bout.

Great promo as usual from Paul E Dangerously.

Sasha Banks vs Carmella For The SmackDown Women's Championship.

For some reason, Carmella's entrance reminds me of Torrie Wilson's entrance from Judgement Day 2003 with the curtains and all but without Lilian Garcia singing her theme song, of course.

The contest itself was decent however it was slightly overbooked due to outside brawling with Carmella, her assistant and Banks.

I will say this, that facebuster from Carmella was really cool to see.

Sasha Banks is still the Smackdown women's champion because of the bank's statement.

Billie Kay gave Asuka her resume and stated her reason as to why she's qualified to be Asuka's partner in a hilarious backstage segment.

The Hurt Business In Cedric Alexander And Shelton Benjamin vs The New Day For The RAW Tag Team Championship.

Some bad and rushed writing aside, their matches have been enjoyable.

I'm happy to say that their latest encounter was, to put it simply, great.

A lumbar check from Cedric Alexander is how The Hurt Business captured the tag belts.

There's a reason why MVP offered Cedric Alexander to join the group months ago.

I doubt that it's long term storytelling but let me imagine that it was, okay!?

Sami Zayn confronted Kalya Braxton regarding Braxton sharing the leaked audio on Insta of Sami cursing some person about the way Sami awards ended.

Later in the night, Sami encountered Big E and the big man pretty much warned the IC champion.

I'm hoping Big E wins this feud in the end but I wouldn't be surprised if Big E takes the L.

Shayna Baszler And Nia Jax vs Asuka And A Mystery Partner For The Women's Tag Team Championship.

Asuka's mystery partner was the returning Charlotte Flair and at this point, I bowed down because she's the QUEEN!

It makes sense why Charlotte Flair is in this bout given that the last time we saw her, Nia Jax injured (kayfabe speaking thankfully) Flair.

And because of Charlotte, both her and Asuka are the new women's tag team champions.

Why's Nia Jax protected as f**k but an upcomer like Shayna has been taking the pinfalls?

Build your characters for God's sake! The match was aight though.

Roman Reigns vs Kevin Owens For The Universal Championship In A Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match.

At one point, Kevin Owens snapped Jey Uso's leg real quick using the chair.

That didn't stop Jey from protecting his cousin Roman Reigns which it turned into an unofficial 2 on 1 tornado handicap match of some sort.

Reigns *Michael Cole's voice* "with authority", delivered a chokeslam to Owens through a table.

"Kevin Owens will not die," says Michael Cole and Matt Hardy is hearing that like, "Hey, that's my catchphrase".

A help from Jey Uso and a low blow from Roman Reigns to Owens later and that's how the tribal chief is still the universal champion.

While this match has a slower pace compared to the WWE championship TLC bout, it did tell a great story.

That story is how Owens still had a fighting chance despite the crap he's been through in this match.

Overall, this was a thrilling match.

Randy Orton vs "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt In A Firefly Inferno Match.

The Fiend was burned alive. Holy crap!

You know what that means? Randy Orton is a powerful entity (don't forget about Bill Goldberg, Omar).

Even big match John Cena couldn't get the job done.

This entire thing reminded me of their encounter at Payback 2017 which I enjoyed too in the sense that it was so different and out of this world good ya know?

In other words, the match was no pun intended, fire.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Firefly inferno match, both TLC bouts, The New Day vs The Hurt Business for the RAW tag team championship.

Didn't like: Shayna taking Ls, Miz's failed cash-in made the Money In The Bank 2020 ladder match win from Otis meaningless.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Did NXT Just Delivered Their Best Go Home Show!?, A Fantastic AEW Dynamite Main Event.

Did I just witness the best NXT go home show ever?  The answer my friends is yes.  While I prefer NXT this week, AEW Dynamite wasn't bad either and a big step up compared to the series of bore-fest shows they produced.  NXT   Highlights.  Msk vs Legado De La Fantasma. Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament SemiFinals.  God damn. What a way to start off the NXT before Vengeance Day.  Unique offensives from Msk is why that tag team is growing on me pretty quickly.  And luckily for them, they advance to the finals which will be conducted at Takeover: Vengeance Day with a double team manoeuvre.  Xia Li Continues To Dominate.  I've been a fan of whatever NXT is doing with this angle and it's mainly because they're embracing the cinematic scripted nature of the business which is what some consider "unrealistic" for some reason.  And yet, they don't mind The Undertaker shooting lightning-like Static Shock at Royal Rumble 2006 but he...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...
