WWE RAW 21/12/20 | A Coherent Review.

Monday Night RAW was, no surprise, not very good but surprisingly, not as skippable as I thought it would be.

However, I'm sure the RAW Legends show in a few weeks will be a “can't miss” episode *major sigh*.

Charlotte Flair And Asuka Celebrate Their Tag Team Title Victory And Then…….

Out came the former tag team champions in Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler and Jax pointed out Charlotte Flair's arm injury that Jax damaged 6 months back (wow, WWE actually not disregarding their continuity?).

The team that you accidentally thought that there were the tag champs for a second in Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, wanted a fight between Jax and Baszler and they got it in the form of a tag team match.

I see what WWE is doing with Charlotte Flair teaming with Asuka.

They're basically going to extend that friendship only for the queen to backstab the empress.

I'm willing to bet that Flair in the kayfabe realm, doesn't respect Asuka and only wants one thing, the RAW women's champion.

The queen even said earlier that championships are in her blood.

But Hey! That's just a theory! A……… wrong show.

Take the Asuka and Charlotte aspect of this program and this segment was meh at best.

Mandy Rose And Dana Brooke vs Shayna Baszler And Nia Jax.

Baszler actually led her team to victory with the kirifuda clutch.

See, that wasn't so hard, right WWE?

Post-match saw Rose and Brooke making a statement to which they pointed their fingers on those tag team belts.

The Champions Edition Of The VIP Lounge.

The Hurt Business were pretty much glowing about their gold.

The celebration was ruined by not only some 24/7 championship shenanigans that has aged like milk but as well as the appearance of Riddle and Jeff Hardy.

Riddle brought up smoking weed and sh*t which is ironically funny to me.

By the way, Alexander is getting better and better as a suit-wearing, egotistical heel.

Angel Garza vs Drew Gulak.

I've not seen Garza in which it feels like an eternity. At least the dude won a match.

I will say, give those dudes more time and this match would've been fantastic.

Miz TV. Special Guest, AJ Styles.

The Miz felt like a loser by unsuccessfully cashing in his Money In The Bank contract to become a two time WWE champion.

Styles was sick of Miz's apologies and Miz replied passionately saying that he's been a hard-working and dedicated man for 15 years only for folks to disrespect them which he admits that he and Styles f**ked up.

Both sides went on to argue with each other and while that was going on, Miz wanted his Money In The Bank contract back because…..?

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Keith Lee showed up and they wanted a fight and you know what that means? *ugh* A BRAWL!

Miz's promo was probably the best part of this segment.

Like the opening segment, this was one big meh.

Ricochet vs T-Bar.

Ricochet lost to yet another member of the stable less intimating than whatever the hell NWO 2000 was.

I get what they're going with Ricochet not able to defeat every single member of Retribution and how he might as well join them.

The problem I have with the story is that Retribution are portrayed as losers and nowhere near as menacing as WWE would like to tell the audience.

Riddle And Jeff Hardy aka "The Hardy Bros" vs The Hurt Business In MVP And Bobby Lashley.

The match was aight. The bad guys won with the Full Nelson submission from Lashley to Jeff Hardy.

Elias Concert Featuring Elias' Enforcer,*ugh* Jaxson Ryker.

First off, out of all the people WWE wanted to bring back from underutilization, they brought back Jaxson f*king Ryker!

They could've brought back Mickie James, Aleister Black, Andrade but nope.

Let's bring the guy that supports a racist ideology, Jaxson Ryker.

Oh, and Ryker won a match against Gran Metalik in case somebody was wondering.

Randy Orton Reflected On The Way He Burned The Fiend.

Moving on from something I actually don't mind talking about.

Like the title above, Orton did reflect on the way he burned The Fiend alive and that was the gist of the promo.

The lights went down and it wasn't The Fiend that showed up but rather it was Alexa Bliss.

She basically said that he's coming back and it will be something that Randy has never seen before.

I liked the firefly inferno match but damn, what followed up was a quite cringey promo from Randal Keith Orton.

It was so cringeworthy that none of his lines were uttered in the segment's highlight clip on WWE's YouTube channel.

Alexa Bliss was great in her role so that's something.

Charlotte Flair And Asuka vs Lacey Evans And Peyton Royce.

I have to ask yet again, what was the point of splitting up The IIconics if Peyton Royce formed another tag team?

The tag champs won the match of course due to the figure eight by Flair to Peyton Royce.

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus and Keith Lee vs AJ Styles, The Miz And John Morrison In A Holiday Street Fight.

A street fight that doesn't have tornado tag team rules and instead it was similar to a standard tag match rules but with weapons and stuff.

Why over complicate your sh*t, world wrestling entertainment!?

Keith Lee led his team to victory with the spirit bomb on Miz.

That wasn't enough to satisfy Sheamus as the Irishmen kicked Lee's head off to end this week's episode of Monday Night RAW.

Cool, but at least the match was decent even with the complicated ruling in this multi-men bout.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Cedric Alexander in the latest VIP Lounge segment, The Miz in his TV segment, Alexa Bliss' performance in the Randy Orton/Alexa Bliss segment.

Didn't like: The complicated ruling of the holiday street fight, Randy Orton's cringey dialogue in the Orton/Alexa Bliss segment, *ugh* Jaxson Ryker, Ricochet taking an L yet again.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
