NXT Takeover: War Games 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: War Games was long and I mean long. Thank God I didn't watch the show live because I would've fallen asleep during the show.

Nevertheless, the show was decent but compared to Takeover 31, it wasn't as good.

Team Shotzi Blackheart In Ember Moon, Rhea Ripley And Io Shirai vs Team Candice LeRae In Toni Storm, Dakota Kai And Raquel Gonzalez. War Games Match.

Earlier in the match, Dakota Kai did a great sunset flip into a backbreaker of some sort on to Ember Moon.

Raquel Gonzalez used her strength for Dakota to nail a crossbody which looked cool.

Speaking of something that looked cool, all 6 women were taken down thanks to a multi-person manoeuvre from the middle part of the cage.

Io Shirai couldn't get into the cage because Raquel kicked her out of the cage door which led to Indi Hartwell locking in the cage door.

So, what did Io do next? Well, she delivered a crossbody from the top of the cage on to the rest of the competitors using a trash can or the rubbish bin for all my UK viewers.

The match concluded with a chokeslam of some sort from Raquel Gonzalez to Io Shirai through the ladder and that's how the bad guys won.

Not gonna lie, the first half of the match was kinda boring but it did pick up later thanks to that eclipse from Ember Moon or that Storm zero on the trash can or that finish.

All in all, I had fun watching this encounter as a whole. Apparently, Candice LeRae suffered a broken arm according to Triple H at the post-show media call. Wishing her nothing but a speedy recovery.

Tommaso Ciampa vs Timothy Thatcher.

Timothy pushes Tommaso Ciampa's neck throughout most of the match which is smart given that Ciampa had neck surgery last year.

Thatcher was busted wide open due to the knee strike from Ciampa onto Thatcher's ear area.

The bout ended with a DDT from Ciampa and the psycho killer walked out of the CWC victorious.

The match was aight. Nothing too crazy happened, to be honest.

Side note, why does it feel like Thatcher always loses even though his win/loss record says otherwise?

NXT is bringing back yet another WCW PPV name called “New Year’s Evil” as a TV special like the Halloween Havoc one almost a few months ago. Will see if it’s great like Halloween Havoc or not.

Dexter Lumis vs Cameron Grimes In Strap Match.

It is no shocker that this match was all Dexter Lumis for the most part.

It is also not a shocker that Lumis came out of that match as the winner. Another okay match.

There's this blackbird that was standing with the dictionary of the word apocalypse flashing which ended with the person whispering, "Tick Tock".

Karrion Kross is coming back, I guess?

Damian Priest vs Johnny Gargano vs Leon Ruff For The North American Championship.

Leon Ruff showed off his impressive quickness at the start of the match with his series of reversals and counters of Johnny's quick pins.

Unfortunately, Ruff was taken out by Priest with the Razor's edge through the barricade to which Priest looked regretful.

Leon came back with vengeance and delivered a springboard clothesline on Johnny Gargano.

An army of men with Ghostface masks were beating up Damian Priest but somehow, Priest took them down with suicide dives.

However, it was too much for Priest as more men in Ghostface masks knocked Priest with the steel pipe.

Meanwhile, Gargano nailed the one final beat finish to Leon Ruff and regained the North American Championship.

Austin Theory was behind one of the Ghostface masks.

Leon Ruff was impressive in this match and was the highlight of this bout.

But, I gotta ask, what's the use of this Leon Ruff come back or the storyline in general if the main course of this match was Priest and the army of men with scream masks?

It just felt like it was unnecessary and instead, it was an example of overbooking, overload.

Undisputed Era vs Team Pat McAfee In Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan And Danny Burch. War Games Match.

Kylie O'Reilly and Pete Dunne started off this War Games match and O'Reilly nailed his signature hard-hitting kicks on the brusierweight.

After Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch showed up, they used the cricket bat to further damage UE member Kylie O'Reilly (I'm hoping that is a prop cricket bat or something like that because cricket bats ain't a soft object).

It's Pat McAfee's turn and he brought up 4 tables that had all 4 Undisputed Era members' names on each table.

One of those tables was broken due to a push from Bobby Fish to Oney Lorcan.

McAfee sacrificed himself with that Swanton bomb on to the rest of the competitors.

Dunne delivered the bitter end to Adam Cole on to the top of the steel chair (hoping Adam is okay from that spot).

O'Reilly did a knee strike to Lorcan on the chair and that's how the Undisputed Era won a War Games match for the second time.

This match is now the new face of the words "exciting", "crazy" and "chaotic" because that main eventer encounter ABSOLUTELY ruled.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Women's and Men's War Games Match, Leon Ruff in the triple threat North American championship match.

Didn't like: The overbooking of the North American championship match.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
