WWE Smackdown 20/11/20 | A Coherent Review.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Monday Night RAW was the better show than Smackdown.

I mean, it's only one episode but still, that is a big yikes.

Don't take this the wrong way, Smackdown isn't horrible, it's just that RAW did a much better job of delivering a go-home show.

The New Day Wants The Smoke From The Street Profits.

After Big E had some words for The Street Profits in a backstage segment, the rest of The New Day told The Street Profits that they'll give SmackDown tag champs the fire instead of the smoke which led to Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods doing an Undertaker pose of some sort.

Out came Sami Zayn and he stated that he feels disrespected as Intercontinental champion and how he'll defeat the United States champion, Bobby Lashley at Survivor Series.

King Corbin showed up and the king reminded the RAW tag champs that they do not belong on the blue show anymore.

Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode chimed in, saying that they should've been RAW tag team champions (why does that sound awkwardly familiar?).

The New Day proposed a match in which Ziggler and Roode face King Corbin and Sami Zayn with the winner challenging the New Day for the red belt.

For some reason, a brawl happened and The Street Profits rushed for the save. You know what that means?

An 8 man tag team match of course. This SCREAMS a Monday Night RAW opening segment.

What a bland, flavourless of a segment which is not expected for Smackdown especially in the past months.

The 8 man tag match was decent though.

The Intercontinental champion took the pin even though Sami Zayn also has a match on Survivor Series representing Smackdown.

Why can't King Corbin or even Ziggler take the pin?

Daniel Bryan was "laughing" on how Sami Zayn lost.

So, Bryan wore his mask and pushed Zayn but the IC champion told him that he'll not forget this.

Bryan reacted to the situation saying that he believes in wearing a mask and social distancing which I laughed.

Speaking of the YES! man, he has a word regarding Jey Uso's attack on him in an interview with Kayla Braxton and he says that Jey should be concerned.

You thought that Big E was the final member of Team Smackdown?

You, my friend, are wrong. The final member of Team Smackdown is Otis.

Natalya vs Tamina. Last Chance Match For The Women's Smackdown's Survivor Series Team.

Bayley messing with Michael Cole on commentary never gets old.

Natalya wins the spot at the women's Survivor Series for Smackdown even though she had many chances to qualify for the team. Cool.

Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns At Survivor Series Contract Signing.

This contract signing has already gotten intense as Roman Reigns was sitting right next to the WWE champion, Drew McIntyre.

The segment is different amongst the rest of the contract signing throughout the year due to the fact that both guys were mic'd up instead of picking up a microphone.

The tribal chief simply told Drew McIntyre that on Survivor Series, Drew McIntyre will be known as THE guy that doesn't hold THE title in WWE.

This segment made me invested in this WWE champion vs Universal champion match which hasn't been the case when Randy was WWE champion weeks ago.

The company made the right choice to give Drew the WWE title back.

Seth Rollins vs Murphy.

Murphy got his support ringside in the Mysterio family (no sh*t, Omar).

During the bout, Seth Rollins pushed Murphy that made Murphy land on the top barricade. That was brutal.

Rollins hits the stomp on Murphy but Murphy puts his leg on the ropes. The match concluded with Murphy's law to grab the biggest W in his career.

Not gonna lie, this encounter was great. However, as I said with Sami Zayn losing earlier in the night, why have one of the members of the SmackDown team losing clean?

It feels like a bunch of losers are going into a match against a team that has been portrayed much bett…… oh wait, they lost against Retribution this week on RAW *awkward silence*.

But, at least the storyline has a conclusion, right?

Sasha Banks And Asuka Face To Face Confrontation.

Michael Cole asked a pretty good question, given that Asuka defeated Sasha Banks at SummerSlam for the women's championship that Asuka is currently holding, does the express have the boss' number?

Sasha Banks was disgusted by what Cole asked, saying that it's boss time and how she'll defeat Asuka at Survivor Series.

Then, Carmella has taken out Sasha Banks from outta nowhere again and Asuka was watching this beatdown.

If this was years ago, Asuka will save Sasha Banks from a beatdown which wouldn't make any sense but I'm glad they made the right decision in this case.

Overall, the segment was fine.

Jey Uso vs Daniel Bryan.

Jey Uso and Daniel Bryan are going head to head again but this time, it's personal.

Jey at one point, did a back body drop on Bryan through the announce table.

As Bryan was locking in the rebel lock on Jey Uso, Jey immediately got out of it thanks to multiple elbow strikes on Bryan's beat-up kidneys.

Daniel Bryan reversed the Uso splash with a roll-up and that's how Daniel Bryan takes the W to end the Smackdown before Survivor Series.

I get that Daniel Bryan is setting up to be Roman Reigns' next challenger for the universal championship (at least, that is what it's looking like).

But, once again, why have a member of a team that is going to face the other team, lose clean?

Like the Murphy and Rollins match, the match was great.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Seth Rollins vs Murphy, Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre contract signing, Jey Uso vs Daniel Bryan.

Didn't like: Members of the SmackDown roster losing even though they have a tag match at Survivor Series.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
