The Latest News On Zelina Vega's Release.

This a piece of news that isn't avoidable  (yea, no sh*t, Omar).

After the news broke out that Zelina Vega was released from world wrestling entertainment, there were reports of WWE's reason as to why she was let go.

Dave Meltzer On Wrestling Observer Radio (From WrestlingInc) basically said that it was either WWE or Twitch and she obviously chose Twitch due to the fact that she makes "a lot of money on Twitch".

Dave also mentioned that Vega apparently "failed to comply with the third party edict handed out by WWE last month" by opening an Only Fans earlier in the month.

PWinsider noted that Vega is on the usual 90 day no-compete clause and she was informed about her release from WWE later that afternoon before Smackdown aired two days ago.

That tweet from Zelina that said, "I support unionization" (facts) was posted before her release.

Vega received a lot of love and support in her post-release Twitch livestream so that was nice to see.

Good on Zelina Vega for standing up for herself.

This whole WWE Twitch/Cameo situation is yet another example of the company violating the independent contractor description.

WWE treats them like employees but they don't want to give them the benefits of being employees like health insurance,  travel expenses etc.

I've always wondered why WWE hasn't been called out by the US government about WWE's independent contractor status.

Rey Mysterio Kind Of Revealed When He's Going To Retire!?

Rey Mysterio as well as his son, Dominik, were recently interviewed by Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia now on the free version of the WWE network.

During the discussion, Mysterio told Garcia that he has enough gas in the tank for another 5 years and then probably retire (from WrestlingInc):

"I'll be 45 in December. And I don't see myself going past 50, that's for sure," "My body feels great right now. I've been doing new methods of therapy - STEM cells, hyperbaric chambers, cryo chambers, CBD's, you know, a lot of things that benefit me. I think that has given me more longevity."

I thought he was going to retire a lot sooner because of his constant knee injuries.

Rey Mysterio has looked better than ever especially as a wrestler in his mid-40s.

Lana Is Going To Get Her Own WWE Chronicle Documentary.

The sympathy train storyline for Lana continues as WWE is releasing a chronicle documentary for the ravishing Russian herself the day before Survivor Series aka Saturday, November 21st.

Here's what she said about the news on Twitter:

Lana's story right now is probably the only interesting thing from Monday Night RAW because November for the red brand hasn't been good from a creative standpoint.

Some Additional Info Regarding The Boa/Mystery Person Segment On NXT.

Remember that segment on NXT where Raquel Gonzalez beat Boa up after Gonzalez found out she wasn't going to face Xia Li then Boa bowed down to that old mysterious guy?

Well, that mystery dude painted Boa a Chinese symbol on Boa's hand using ink.

According to WrestlingInc (damn, WrestlingInc is getting featured a lot on this article), that Chinese symbol stands for "strength" or "power".

Boa tweeted out the word "Shifu" or master in Mandarin.

Xia Li herself hasn't said anything regarding this whole thing.

This could mean the mystery dude is a powerful entity that can't be messed with.

Will see what happens because it is intriguing.

Former WCW Exec, Jim Herd, Claims That He Didn't Want Ric Flair To Become "Spartacus".

You read that right, we are going to the past on this week's edition.

The story was that Herd and the nature boy himself, Ric Flair, argued over creative differences before Ric left WCW to work for Titan Towers.

Jim Herd spoke with Conrad Thompson on the AdFreeShows program and Herd stated while they talked about different personas, Spartacus wasn't one of them (from Fightful)

"When you're brainstorming those things, you get all kinds of feedback from those guys. That's where the lie that I wanted to change Ric Flair's name came from. That came from one of the meetings, but it was never considered.

One of the things that was considered, and he didn't like it so it became -- there was a wrestler were going to call The Zodiac Man. Every match, at the end of the match, you could go out the door and they would throw these discs that were redeemable at fast food places.

They would catch them and if you could prove you were a Leo after the match, you'd get another disc. It got so complicated, but his name was going to change every month with a different promotion.

I think Ric heard we wanted him to be the Zodiac Man. It was just another lie that came out of those meetings. A lot of it was tongue in cheek in those meetings."

In the past, Ric Flair has talked about this seemly confirming that Herd indeed wanted him to become “Spartacus”. This is what he said when speaking with ESPN earlier this year:

"The worst thing I ever did was cut my hair. I can remember walking through the airport, and nobody knew me. I was frightened, He wanted to call me Spartacus -- he wanted me to change my name and put an earring in my ear... I looked like a 12-year-old kid."

What do you think about the news I just reported and follow me on the tweets @omartheplayaguy? Anyways, stay safe smarks.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
