The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: The BatSh*t Crazy That Is The Park Lot Brawl.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays is back and the last time I posted a "Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays" article was a few weeks before Takeover: 30.

Yikes. That's a long time. But, in any case, this has been quite a notable night for both programmings.

We get to see 2 great tag team matches but the one from AEW definitely stood out amongst the rest.

With that being said, AEW was a better show than NXT not just because of that parking lot brawl.

But rather it was a show that had a big emphasis on characters serving the story if that makes any sense?

Also, is it just me or is it that the gauntlet eliminator match for next week's NXT show sounds a lot like the Aztec warfare match from Lucha Underground?

NXT

Highlights.

Tommaso Ciampa Shows Us Why He Is Known As The Psycho Killer.

Ciampa won the match against Desmond Troy to which Jake Atlas came out to tell Ciampa that he will show him how dangerous Atlas can be.

In other words, we're getting a match (no sh*t, Omar).

I like what NXT is doing with Tommaso Ciampa as of late and the reason being is that they're sticking to the roots of Ciampa.

That root is portraying him as the psycho killer.

Imperium vs Breezango For The NXT Tag Team Championship.

For a division that has little tag teams in it, it does honour the essence of tag team wrestling because this match was. Fan. Freaking. Tastic.

So many and I mean so many near falls that would take an article of its own to describe it.

The champs are still the champs thanks to a sunset flip from Tyler Breeze to Fabian Aichner.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Shotzi Blackheart vs Io Shirai - This match disappointed me in the sense that I expected more than an okay match like this.

Shirai wins with the moonsault.

Who Answered Austin Theory's Match Challenge? - A pissed off Kushida and he absolutely destroyed Austin Theory. Kushida wins with the armbar.

Finn Balor's Promo After His NXT Title Victory - it was aight. Nothing too memorable about this.

Xia Li And Jessi Kamea vs Kayden Carter And Kacy Catanzaro - the best part about this match was a double team kick followed by a crucifix pin from Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter to win the match.

Xia Li didn't show some sportsmanship for the winning team after the match.

What's with this brand and teases of heel turns?

Drake Maverick And Killian Dain vs Undisputed Era In Roderick Strong And Bobby Fish - This bout was turned into a 2 on 1 handicap match due to Killian Dain not showing up.

Fortunately for the odd duo, they were awarded the win due to Fish hitting Dain with a chair.

Hey look, if this is leading to a cohesive unit between Killian Dain and Drake Maverick then I'm all for it.

Because like I said in my NXT reviews, the brand barely got tag teams.

Damian Priest vs Timothy Thatcher For The North American Championship - A decent North American title encounter. Damian Priest retained the championship with the reckoning.

AEW

Highlights.

Jurassic Express vs FTR.

Before the match,  The Young Bucks randomly showed up and they nailed a superkick onto the referee for this match.

The heel turn tease is heating up for The Elite.

The opening act didn't stop this bout from being simply fun to watch.

I guess FTR keeps on winning. They defeated Jurassic Express with a jacket pin from Cash Wheeler.

Hangman Page vs Frank Kazarian.

I absolutely LOVE this match.  Kazarian at one point did an unprettier which I do not know if it's a dig at NXT or not given that Tyler Breeze's finish is the unprettier.

I'm probably thinking WAY too much about this, am I?

Page reversed Frank's top rope move into a powerbomb and it looked amazing.

The match ended with a discus clothesline from the cowboy and he picked up the victory.

I'll repeat this again, that match was great, great, great.

Chris Jericho And Jake Hager vs Private Party.

The match was fine but I put this in the highlight section because of the post-match beatdown from Chris Jericho.

The heels win with the Judas effect on Isiah Kassidy.

When Chris locked in the walls on Kassidy, Isiah got some help from Marq Quen with a kick on Jericho.

Private Party walked away from this ending looking good. Big thumbs up.

Some Announcement Regarding Who's Joining Archer's Team And Jon Moxley's Team For A 6 Man Tag Match Next Week.

Taz's buddies in Ricky Starks and Brian Cage will join Lance Archer's team.

While Jon announced that the recently signed Will Hobbs will team up with the AEW champion.

The other person joining Jon's squad is Darby Allin.

Hobbs is getting a lot of love from AEW with his performance at the casino battle royal match and now teaming up with AEW's top champion.

Another big thumbs up for that ALLLONE.

Best Friends vs Santana And Ortiz In A Parking Lot Brawl.

This main event encounter isn't the highlight of this week's Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays, it's the highlight of the month in pro wrestling.

Santana and Ortiz looked like Vampiro back in late 90s WCW with that face paint.

Bat sh*t crazy things happened in this such as a double powerbomb to the front car window, Orange Cassidy appearing from the back of the car.

The match concluded with a jacket piledriver from Trent to Ortiz through a wooden object.

I love the fact that Trent's mom picked them up with the van and then gave the middle finger.

This has to be in the conversation for the match of the year, right?

Some Other Things That Happened.

MJF Calls Himself The "Uncrown, Undefeated, Undisputed AEW World Champion" - After that line was uttered, MJF teased a possible stable?

His motivation made sense given how the AEW Title match at All Out ended.

Overall, the promo was a typical MJF promo.

The BBs And The Lucha Brothers Beats Up Members Of The Audience - Eddie Kingston's promo before this was good.  I could hear this guy talk all day bruh.

Ivelisse vs Thunder Rosa For The NWA Women's Championship - So, Thunder Rosa is still NWA women's champion with a tombstone piledriver.

Then, she was attacked by Diamante and Ivelisse but Hikaru Shida came to the rescue.

Shida even played respect to Rose by putting the NWA women's championship on her shoulder.

The match was decent and the post-match shenanigans were fine.

The question is, what are some of the highlights of both episodes in your opinion? Let me know in the comments below and follow me on Twitter @omartheplayaguy. Anyways, I gotta get some sleep so stay safe smarks.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
