AEW Dynamite 2/9/20 | A Coherent Review.

AEW Dynamite results, live blog (Sept. 9, 2020): All Out fallout - Cageside Seats

AEW Dynamite aka the exact opposite of Monday Night RAW in the sense that it was eventful.

What an episode. This was a damn good pro wrestling television.

Before the intro was queued, Chris Jericho and MJF were complimenting each other and once both men left, they said "what a loser".

That was creative and funny.

Jurassic Express In Jungle Boy And Luchasaurus vs The Lucha Brothers.

What a way to kick off the program. That was a fun tag team match.

The good guys won the match with a roll up by Jungle Boy.

The Jurassic Express are on a roll as of late with a great match against The Young Bucks and now a win against a notable team.

It is a matter of time whether they get a tag team title opportunity or not.

Eddie Kingston saw The Lucha Brothers having a disagreement to which Eddie brought the brothers together on the same side.

Jake Roberts says in a filmed promo that Lance Archer is not here to be nice but rather to trash the place like the murder hawk he is.

Decent promo.

Matt Hardy Returns After His Broken Rules Match.

The older Hardy sibling showed up to thank the audience for being part of the magic that is AEW Dynamite.

Matt then brought up the concussion he sustained at All Out and he's expected to make a 100% full recovery.

I'm sure all of us are glad to see Matt healthy and happy.

Orange Cassidy vs Angelico.

Angelico is a name we haven't seen on Dynamite in many moons and he just lost the match with the superman punch.

After that, Santana and Ortiz attacked Orange Cassidy to which Best Friends made the save.

Chuck Taylor and Trent challenged Santana and Ortiz to a match in the parking lot.

Should be a brutal fight.

Alex Marvez took a superkick from Young Bucks in a backstage segment.

The Young Bucks paid 5 grand each for the assault.

Who is Kip Sabian's Best Man In His Wedding?

Who? Who? Who? Who?

It's the former Rusev matcka now known as simply Miro.

He pretty much said that they (you know who's "they") can take the brass ring and shove it up "your a**".

When Miro said something about how he's done with wrestling and going to pursue Twitch full time, I knew it was all BS.

With that being said, It is good to see Miro in AEW and I hope he's going to be utilized greatly in the Elite.

Tony Schiavone spoke with Hangman Adam Page and he simply asked Page, how is the cowboy doing?

Page blamed himself for losing the tag belts as well as ending the friendship with The Young Bucks.

Page went on to say that he and Kenny Omega will find a way to get an AEW tag team title shot.

I like the fact that Tony wanted a straight-up honest answer from Hangman Page.

It's something different and I appreciated it.

Joey Janela And Sonny Kiss vs Chris Jericho And Jake Hager In A No DQ Match.

Sonny was the highlight in this bout. He fought on the same level as Chris Jericho and Jake Hager. I like it.

The Inner Circle defeated Sonny and Janela.

But then, Jericho cut a promo saying that he and Jake Hager are eyeing on the tag team titles.

That tag team division is STACKED. I don't mind this move AT ALL.

Meanwhile, MJF fired everybody in his campaign.

Maxwell took his frustrations on Wardlow saying that he signs Wardlow's checks so he hopes that the big man gets it together.

Is this a slow build for an eventual turn on Wardlow or not?

Will see. As far as the segment goes, it was decent.

FTR's World Tag Team Championship Celebration.

The celebration ended as they were talking sh*t about every tag team that surrounded the ring.

Jurassic Express had enough and they tried to beat up the new champs but they immediately escaped.

The match between FTR and Jurassic Express will be fun and that is guaranteed.

Ricky Starks Does A Great Darby Allin Again.

Moments later, he tells Darby Allin that there's a reason why on one want's to tag with Allin because the dude isn't Starks level good.

That Darby Allin impression from Starks will never get stale.

Tay Conti vs Nyla Rose.

The news has dropped that Tay Conti has signed with AEW.

Good on her.

She's talented and Tay's best is yet to come.

Unfortunately, she couldn't win the match because she lost with the powerbomb.

Conti was saved from an assault by Nyla Rose by the AEW women's champion, Hikaru Shida.

Meh.

Jim Ross interviewed Kenny Omega about his tag team title loss.

He tells that his way was lost as a singles performer and he found his direction with Hangman in the tag team division.

But, Kenny Omega wants to move on from that division and strive for singles gold.

Page and Omega had different answers. Will see where this leads.

Mr Brodie Lee vs Dustin Rhodes For The AEW TNT Championship.

AEW has gotten a lot better with their main event matches as if late and this is on exception.

That encounter was really good.

Dustin used the crossrhodes but the exalted one kicked out.

The TNT title match ended with a discus clothesline to retain the gold.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: TNT championship match, Miro debut, Jurassic Express vs Lucha Brothers, the segment with MJF and Chris Jericho before the intro, Hangman Page Interview with Tony Schiavone, Sonny Kiss in the tag match with Joey Janela against Chris Jericho and Jake Hager.

Didn't like: Nothing.

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Fyter Fest 2020 Came Back Swinging?

Last week, on this very series, I said that I enjoyed Great American Bash better than Fyter Fest.  Well, this week is the exact opposite. AEW came in swinging with night 2 Fyter Fest.  I've not liked a Dynamite episode in several weeks so it's nice to see that the show finally executed a great show since God knows how long.   NXT      Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Mia Yim vs Candice LeRae In A Street Fight. The match went underway after Yim quickly attacked Candice LeRae during LeRae's entrance.  In the crowd area, Candice tried to nail the suplex on the table but Yim got out of that position and kicked her to which she landed through the table.  The Streetfight concluded with LeRae striking Yim with the brass knuckles followed by a swinging neck from the top of the table onto a bunch of chairs and that's how LeRae defeats the HBIC.  A fun opening match even though...

WWE Smackdown Season Premiere | A Coherent Review.

It is the season premiere of Friday night Smackdown even though WWE doesn't have an offseason.  Nevertheless, it was a decent program and had a WAY better ending than whatever the hell of an ending last year's premiere of Friday night Smackdown showed.  There isn't a women's match this week and all of the AEW fanboys are looking at this like, "sEe, WWE dOeSn't feATuRe wOmeN'S mAtChEs aLsO."  pictures via WWE.com The Season Premiere Of Smackdown 2020.  The show started off with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon highlighting the scheduled matches for Smackdown as well as the superstars.  Chaos then ensued thanks to a huge brawl. Then, the "super freak" Lars Sullivan came out and delivered the freak accident to Shorty G.  Somehow, Jeff Hardy attacked him and that led to the opening match of the night between Lars and Jeff.  You know, I'm kind of surprised that two white people in McMahon and Hemsley knew who Rick James is.  Maybe I'm igno...

THE Coherent AEW Take: Christian Dior, Dior. Eddie Kingston up in all the stores!

Ever since AEW Dynamite was on Saturday night for a bit, I've been WAY behind on AEW content so excuse my ignorance. And It's Full Gear weekend which means another PPV that would last longer than the Snyder cut.  Sheeit, I'll bet the collar and elbow hold alone from the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega championship match, is longer than the entire Queen's Crown tournament.  As far as how I feel about both programs this week, well.  They did an okay job on building towards the final AEW PPV of the year this Saturday. Rampage.   Highlights.  Bryan Danielson vs Anthony Bowens.  And no, the highlight doesn't include Max Caster's verses. I'll rather listen to f**king Riff Raff than Max Caster's dig on anything.  The worst part, people are probably going to look at this and say, "can't wait for a Max Caster's appearance on Wild 'N Out!"  With that being said, this opening match was good. Danielson wins with the rebel lock.  Eddie Kingston (wi...
