WWE Smackdown 7/8/20 | A Coherent Review.

If you love no disqualifications finishes then this show is for you.

SmackDown is finally the Arsenal of television shows.

One week, it delivers a good showing and the next week is the exact opposite.

Firefly funhouse.

It looks like the preview promos from various superstars are no more?

In this short edition of the firefly funhouse, Bray says that Braun has what The Fiend wants and that is the universal championship.

I mean, why would Bray put Braun Strowman in that dirty a** swamp?

Matt Riddle vs "Too Many Limes, Too Many Limes" Sheamus.

WWE Photo

The match was good, good, good. The match concluded via a DQ because of Shorty G taking advantage out of King Corbin's ransom.

Which means that Matt is the winner of the match. That pissed Sheamus off and he brogue kicked Shorty G not once but twice.

Sheamus confronted King Corbin in a backstage segment saying that he'll kick Corbin's head off.

If The Celtic Warrior is going to be a babyface, can not please be his 2012 self where he lost his badass ways and became a bad comedian?

Miz And John Morrison Talked To Mandy Rose's Hair.

WWE Photo

Yes, that's literally what they did. They interviewed "Mandy Rose's hair".

"Rose's hair" was playing the victim in this conversation pretty much blaming Mandy Rose for some reason (that was stupid).

The hosts of the Dirt Sheets then brought up their other guest, Sonya Deville.

Deville basically said that she wanted to make Rose ugly on the outside as she is on the inside.

Out came Heavy Machinery and they gave a beating to Miz And Morrison.

Hey, at least it didn't lead to a tag team match, right? *sees a match graphic that the match is happening* F**K!

Cesaro vs Lince Dorado.

The match would've been better if given more time but nevertheless, it was decent. Cesaro defeated Lince with the neutralizer.

I honestly thought that Dorado would win the match given that the blue brand literally got no tag teams and the show has no tag team title on the line at SummerSlam.

The Fiend Appears On Smackdown.

WWE Photo

With full entrance as a matter of fact. The Fiend tried to nail the mandible claw on Bliss again.

However, Wyatt was interrupted by "it was definitely not an iPhone" video promo from Braun Strowman saying that The Fiend will encounter the monster at SummerSlam.

We went from a great ending like Smackdown last week to a disappointing segment like this one.

Jeff Hardy vs King Corbin.

WWE Photo

The match was over with a DQ thanks to a brogue kick from Sheamus to Jeff Hardy, declaring Hardy the winner of that bout.

It was followed by an impromptu match between Sheamus and King Corbin that ended with a brogue kick that gave Sheamus the victory due to a distraction by Matt Riddle.

In an interview with Kalya Braxton, Big E was encouraged by his brothers in Kofi and Xavier Woods as well as the fans to purse a singles run and he was thankful for that.

Sasha Banks and Bayley were called to a room for a video conference by Stephanie McMahon.

The boss (not Sasha Banks) told the so-called boss that Banks will face Asuka at SummerSlam.

As far as Bayley's title is concerned, there will be a triple brand battle royal to determine Bayley's challenger at SummerSlam for the SmackDown women's championship.

What does a triple brand battle royal even mean? Will find out next week when that battle royal takes place.

Heavy Machinery vs The Miz And John Morrison.

WWE Photo

Morrison's entrance isn't the same without pyro.

Also, the tag match ended with a DQ due to Mandy Rose beating up Sonya Deville? Huh?

Nevermind that awful finish, why did every match on this show (except for one) end with a DQ?

WWE Photo

So, a masked group called Retribution hijacked the show to end this week's episode of Smackdown.

Well, that was ridiculous and the camera shots didn't make this a whole lot better either. That was so f'ing lame.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Sheamus vs Matt Riddle.

Didn't like: Too many DQs, the ridiculous ending.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The White Rabbit In The Room.

I haven't reviewed last year's show mainly because it was so good and clearly as extreme as any ECW match and I'm happy to tell all 3 of y'all that this one is better by several inches or so. Why? *slaps my bald head* HERE'S WHY. The opening match between Sheamus and Gunther's crew ruled harder than the Mongolian empire.  It was basically an enhanced version of Sheamus' match with Gunther last night on Smackdown and I loved it.  The Brawling Brutes' victory means one thing that is clearly obvious, a rematch between Sheamus and Gunther for the intercontinental championship aka the only series of rematches I don't mind.  Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan delivered in what was a wrestling match equivalent to the X-Men Dark Phoenix movie.  While Bianca Belair and Bayley had their equivalent to the first Iron Man movie in that it was decent.  Drew McIntyre and Karrion Kross had an okay edition of the "Meaty men slapping meat".  That spear from Edge to...

A Few Thoughts On RAW And Smackdown: RAW wasn't GREAT!?

Since this blog will be less of a priority now considering I'm focusing on my podcast now (hit the 5 stars on Apple Podcast you sons of b*tches), I decided to share my few thoughts on RAW, Smackdown, I guess?  Smackdown.  The blue brand delivered yet another good episode this week and it's probably due to the fact that Braun Strowman taking out the Maximum Model is high-key funny as f**k.  The folks over at Titan Towers are bringing back the essence of their characters whether it's Kevin Owens, Shayna Baszler or in this case, Big Braun himself.   As a fan, you gotta love it, especially since in the case of Strowman, the dude hasn't been the same since he turned heel 4 years ago when feuding with Roman Reigns for the universal title.   Other noteworthy segments include Logan Paul challenging Roman Reigns for the big world universal multiverse galactic cinematic championship.  Imagine they pulled that match off 7 years ago back when Logan was on V...
