WWE Smackdown 31/7/20 | A Coherent Review.

Smackdown this week, left me with a lot of intrigues while at the same time, having more questions than answers. And trust me, it's a good thing.

Before a fun IC title match took place, a Firefly funhouse episode aired and Bray Wyatt pretty much said that the Universal championship belongs to The Fiend.

AJ Styles vs Gran Metalik For The Intercontinental Championship

Speaking of that fun IC title match. Styles retained the Intercontinental Championship with the calf crusher  (obviously, duh?). I don't know where the IC championship scene leads (hoping it's Big E challenging him) but it should be intriguing.

In a backstage scene, King Corbin told Shorty G that he has been overlooked as a competitor that competed in the Olympics.

In other words, Corbin was manipulating Chad into taking out Matt Riddle because the King’s Ransom is still open (no f'ing sh*t, Omar).

Jeff Hardy Talks About Winning The Bar Fight.

Hardy says that the reason why he has a smile on his face is that he finally took out a bully like Sheamus.

He now wants to focus on being a father and performing in front of the fans.

King Corbin came out to express that Hardy has to deal with his problems whether Hardy likes it or not.

The King also feels that he's going crazy due to the fact that he has to deal with Matt Riddle and Drew Gulak.

That led to a match between Gulak and Corbin and it was fine (by the way, Jeff F**ked the right off after the segment which made me laugh unintentionally).

The ending though was interesting. After Corbin won his match with the end of days, Riddle was successful in putting King out of the ring but Shorty G of all people, attacked Riddle with the German suplex.

A strange relationship being portrayed by the King and the Olympian.

So, Shorty G's a heel now? Which means that WWE could call him Chad Gable again?

This could benefit the performer if the powers that be play their cards right.

Big E vs The Miz.

Another enjoyable bout between two talented guys.

Miz nailed the skull-crushing finale to Big E and the big man kicked out despite the interference from John Morrison.

Immediately after the referee made Morrison leave the building, Big E locked in the Brock Lock to win the match.

The right man won the match. That is how you put the puzzle together of a Big E singles run.

Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura made fun of Lucha House Party due to them not being champions. Who would’ve thought that the RAW tag team division is better than Smackdown and NXT’s division COMBINED!

Meanwhile, Sheamus says in a backstage promo that he gave Jeff Hardy an advantage and how the locker room should watch out for the Celtic Warrior. Cool.

Lacey Evans vs Naomi.

A match that I've seen once before and I don't watch to see it again and WWE reacted that with "b*tch, you thought". Naomi won the match with a backslide. Not a good encounter.

The folks that we haven't seen in quite some time, Mandy Rose and Otis were preparing themselves for a date in a barbeque spot. Rose tells him to wait so that she can get ready.

From outta nowhere, Sonya Deville gave that woman a BEATING.

While Deville was about to shave Mandy's hair, the officials prevented that from happening. Sonya looked like a trillion dollars in that scene. What a God damn star.

Bayley vs Nikki Cross For The SmackDown Women's Championship.

WWE Photo

A decent main event title match. One-half of the golden role models continue their two women power trip with the rose plant.

Nikki for some reason, pushed her friend Alexa Bliss and left the ring to which The Fiend choked out Bliss with the mandible claw.

To quote R Truth, "I don't know if that's PG". Is Nikki Cross going to be psycho Nikki Cross again? Who the hell knows. I will say that the ending was a great way to have me tune in to next week's program.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: AJ Styles vs Gran Metalik For The Intercontinental Championship, Big E vs The Miz, a lot of intrigue being built throughout the show, Sonya Deville beatdown to Mandy.

Didn't like: Naomi vs Lacey Evans.

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

WWE SummerSlam 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Did the SummerSlam 2019 edition deliver or did it underperformed? I would say it did deliver but it wasn't a home run. It was a good show with one unforgettable SummerSlam moment which I will get to.  You guys know where I'm going with this, I haven't seen the pre-show matches for reasons I've stated many times in my wrestling reviews but if you're new, I was asleep during Summerslam because it aired at 2am my time so yeah. Now, on with the review.  Becky Lynch vs Natalya for the RAW Women's Championship.  I know it's minor but holy crap, pyro is back and probably not for long. It wasn't that long ago that the RAW and SmackDown women's championships were the main event at a big PPV and now one of those titles is opening WWE's second-biggest PPV of the year. Not that I have a problem with that but rather it's interesting to bring up.  Anywho, the match itself did deliver from a technical wrestling geek's perspective. Natalya ab...

WWE Smackdown 14/1/22 | A Coherent Review.

WOAH, WOOOOOAH *Insert drums* BURN IT DOWN *insert more drums* Don't know why I just quoted Seth Rollins' theme song. Probably because I'm bored and have nothing else better to do on a Saturday afternoon (which explains the Smackdown review).  Now, how was the show? It was aight.  The Viking Raiders vs Angel And Humberto Carrillo vs Jinder Mahal And Shank vs Mansoor And Cesaro. Winner Gets A Blue Tag Belt Opportunity.  The best part about all of this was The Usos introduction of all 4 members. Gotta say, they're pretty natural at this and wouldn't mind them doing ring announcing full time.  The only thing they should avoid is threatening somebody with WWE lawyers.  The Viking Raiders won the whole thing and all I can say is, finally! No more Viking Raiders vs Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss matches.  Why WWE Be Messing With Sami Like That!?  That "InZayn" stunt show is sad to watch. He should've been doing so much better than trying to do knockoff Jacka**...
