WWE Smackdown 28/8/20 | A Coherent Review.

Coberturas – House of Wrestling

Before I start this review, I wanna say, rest in peace Chadwick Boseman.

Your strength and your passion is inspiring, humbling and most importantly, memorable.

Wakanda forever.

I also want to send my condolences to Scott Armstrong and his family including Road Dogg because their dad, Bob Armstrong passed away.

A guy that has wrestled since the 60s all the way till last year. Rest easy Bob Armstrong.

If there's one thing we've learned from this is that It doesn't hurt to say "I love you" to people you care about.

Now, how was Smackdown?

It was really underwhelming. Full of uninteresting things that happened in this episode.

The show started off with WWE producer Adam Pearce telling security to stop everything Retribution.

Then, Pearce met with Vince McMahon and the chairman of the board gave Adam a mission.

That mission is to have Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman's signatures on a contract to make that Universal Championship match at Payback official.

Jeff Hardy Wants To Defend That Intercontinental Championship Until…..

WWE Photo

AJ Styles showed up to tell Hardy that the enigma cheated his way to an intercontinental championship victory.

Jeff replied with an open challenge for his title but the person answering the challenge is not Styles.

Shinsuke Nakamura took that offer instead. The match was actually decent.

It sounds like based on the promo that Cesaro is mad that Shinsuke is in the intercontinental championship open challenge.

Why are tag teams always jealous when one of its members goes in a singles run? A great example of the word "cliche".

WWE Photo

Hardy retained the championship with the Swanton bomb to which Sami Zayn returned to WWE and kicked Hardy's head off.

Hardy has to deal with two heels now.

I wish Zayn is a babyface given that I'm not a fan of his heel run in quite some time.

Firefly Funhouse Time.

Adam Pearce dressed as a postman, wanted Bray Wyatt to sign the contract for the triple threat match at Payback.

Wyatt with no hesitation signed the contract. A meh segment.

Matt Riddle Calls Out King Corbin.

Riddle with a 2000s looking hairstyle, desperately wanted King Corbin to show up and Corbin actually did.

However, Chad Gable attacked Riddle from behind because a match between those two men was next.

WWE Photo

After Riddle picked up the victory, Corbin and Riddle himself fought for a bit.

I. Don't. Care. About. This. Feud. For some reason, anything Baron Corbin is an automatic "I don't care about that rivalry"

Bayley Talks With Excitement While Banks…….

WWE Photo

Well, she wasn't in a good mood throughout the entire time Bayley was confidently talking about how the golden role models will retain the titles at Payback.

Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax via the titantron, told the golden role models that they'll get those titles despite not liking each other.

Meh. In another backstage segment, Drew Gulak attacked Braun Strowman with a chair but Gulak immediately threw that chair on Adam Pearce.

That led to a match between Braun Strowman and Drew Gulak and speaking of which…….

Braun Strowman vs Drew Gulak.

WWE Photo

Strowman absolutely destroyed Gulak and because of that destruction, the match ended pretty short.

In other words, Braun Strowman won the bout.

Adam Pearce came out as Strowman was leaving the ring. Pearce got another signature in that contract.

Two down, one to go.

Kalisto vs Cesaro.

WWE Photo

Another decent match of the evening. Cesaro won the match with a roll-up due to a distraction from Nakamura getting a beating from the rest of Lucha House Party.

After the match, Kalisto "made peace" with Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik.

Please, don't break up the team. You got no tag teams, WWE.

Alexa Bliss broke Nikki Cross' mug that Bliss gave her a year back because Nikki told Bliss that Bliss' Harley Quinn style hair reminds her of the Fiend.

That was stupid. Alexa's hair doesn't look like Bray's hairstyle like AT ALL.

Big E And Heavy Machinery vs Sheamus, The Miz and John Morrison.

WWE Photo

The Miz got a serious tan like damn. Sheamus walked off the match which means it is all Big E and Heavy Machinery.

Big E led his team to a W with the big ending.

Speaking of a big ending, Adam Pearce was looking at Roman Reigns signing the contract to which he tells Adam that he will walk out of Payback THE universal champion.

The person sitting right next to Roman was Paul freaking Heyman.

What an ending. By far, the best thing about this uneventful episode.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The ending.

Didn't like: An uneventful program with a bad backstage segment between Bliss and Nikki Cross.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE RAW 17/6/19 | My Coherent Review.

Gotta be honest, I wasn't looking forward to Stomping Ground this coming Sunday but this episode actually did its job to build a bit of excitement for this PPV. I mean, I'm gonna watch that PPV regardless but it's really a good feeling when you get a pretty good RAW episode going into a PPV that I don't care for all that much. Elias Concert.  As you can tell from reading the title, this show started off with an Elias concert. The quote "greatest musical act in history" was crapping on Los Angeles and revealed that he's the special guest referee for the Universal Championship at Stomping Ground.  Seth Rollins came out and hits Elias with a steel chair. Rollins ended the segment by cutting a promo saying that he's warning anybody that wants to be a special guest referee that he's gonna get a steel chair shot on the back. This was okay. Short but decent.  The Miz vs Bobby Lashley vs Ricochet vs Cesaro vs Braun Strowman. Winner Faces Sam...
