WWE Smackdown 12/6/20 | A Coherent Review.

This episode is going to be known for one thing, the intercontinental championship tournament finals match and that encounter tore the house down.

As far as how I feel about this show overall, it was a decent show.

Is This One Of The Most Controversial Scenes In The History Of WWE?

WWE Photo

Look. Getting that line of "one of the most controversial segments in WWE history" isn't exactly rare but first, let me describe this segment. Sheamus wouldn't sign the contract unless Jeff takes a piss test.

Hardy accepts it saying that he's going to be a beacon of light for anyone struggling with addiction.

While Hardy was doing his business, Sheamus gave a public service announcement telling the kids watching at home that simply, don't be like Jeff.

After Hardy was done, he splashed Sheamus with his own urine and the Celtic Warrior was, drum roll please…………………., pissed (I'm so awful). Is it the most controversial segment ever?

Hell no. However, I have one nitpick for this. Why were the results of the test brought up AFTER Jeff shoved Sheamus with his urine?

That opening act of the show would've made some sense had the results were announced before the urine spot. I know, it's a minor issue but for some reason, it really bothered me. I’m not a fan of this rivalry and this segment visually explained it why.

The New Day vs Shinsuke Nakamura And Cesaro.

Kofi Kingston and Big E are great. That is all. Oh, and they lost via an inside cradle to Kofi from Shinsuke Nakamura. An okay match.

While Heavy Machinery were talking about their upcoming match, Jeff Hardy and Sheamus were brawling with each other.

Daniel Bryan vs AJ Styles. Intercontinental Championship Tournament Finals.

There were reports going around the Internet that Styles and Bryan had a classic or a match of the year contender?

The question is, was it a classic or a match of the year contender? The answer is quite simple, IT'S GOOD!

Styles' arm was on the ring apron and Bryan stomped it which looked brutal af.

Moments later, Daniel did a double arm hook slam followed by an armbar to which Styles reversed it into the calf crusher. What a sequence that was.

AJ hits the styles clash and then the phenomenal forearm to win this match and becomes the first-ever Intercontinental champion. Now, we know why he was traded back to the house that he built.

I feel like Styles was playing in Bryan's element in the sense that AJ has to work a technical style (no pun intended) in order to execute a great match like that.

In a backstage promo, Braun Strowman has no problem destroying Heavy Machinery if they try to cash in for his universal championship even though he likes Otis.

Bayley and Sasha Banks Women's Tag Championship Celebration.

You read the title, it was indeed a celebration. Bayley was so excited that she fooled Michael Cole thinking that he was getting a selfie from them. That moment had me dying bruh.

That celebration was cut really short as Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross showed up as well as The IIconics via the titantron of course. That led to a mugging between Bliss, Cross, Banks and Bayley.

A decent segment. Can I just say that Bayley is a great heel? Oh, people already know that? Okay.

Matt Riddle is going to debut on the blue brand as early as next week. Should be interesting.

Braun Strowman And Heavy Machinery vs Dolph Ziggler, The Miz And John Morrison.

A meh main event. The babyface team won the match with the caterpillar from Otis to Dolph Ziggler.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos:

Like: Styles vs Bryan. Intercontinental Championship Tournament Finals.

Didn't like: The opening segment.

AEW Dynamite Blood And Guts | A Coherent Review.

Another watchable episode of AEW Dynamite but this time, it features the first-ever Blood And Guts encounter. Kenny Omega And Michael Nakazawa vs Jon Moxley And Eddie Kingston.  Don Callis announced that Michael Nakazawa is going to face Mox and Kingston all by himself only for Kenny Omega to show up and compete in the match anyway.  A weird booking choice but I'm just nitpicking.  What wasn't weird was how the match ended with a double team dragon suplex into a clothesline from the duo of Mox and Kingston to Nakazawa.  Then, a beatdown ensued from Omega's Posse to Jonny Mox and Eddie Kingston. The Young Bucks vs Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston? I'm down.  It was revealed later in the night that a number one contenders match for the AEW championship is set up for next week's show between Orange Cassidy and Pac. I'm assuming AEW is saving the Hangman Page and Kenny Omega encounter for All Out?  Either way, AEW has the potential to tell an interesting story of ...

WWE RAW 5/10/20 | A Coherent Review.

I have not said this in a RAW review in a very long time but the show as a whole was straight up dogsh*t awful.  It's so bad that I didn't like one ounce about this program.  pictures via wwe.com Randy Orton Remembers His Match At Clash Of Champions.  The show started off with Randy Orton recalling certain aspects about the WWE championship match at Clash Of Champions.  Orton goes on to say that Drew doesn't deserve the championship because the legends interfered in the ambulance match.  The promo ended with Orton bringing up the fact that he beat up four legends last week on RAW (again, explain the physics behind this?).  Drew showed up and he laid waste on the guy.  Randy has been quite exceptional in the dialogue department but this ain't it.  The promo actually put me to sleep and the show didn't even hit 10 minutes up until that point.  If they suddenly end the rivalry like nothing happened, while it doesn't make sense, I'm all for it be...

WWE NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff | My Coherent Review.

via WWE I don't watch or review the first NXT UK Takeover for some odd reason but I'm so glad I did because that was like the main NXT Takeovers, was absolutely great to watch. I'm just speechless and if you have watched the show then you'll know why (also, if you somehow didn't watch this show, what are you doing? Go and treat yourself with some wrestling goodness.) Noam Dar vs Travis Banks.  A very enjoyable opening match. Noam Dar proves that he's great at what he does with so many submission holes because if you don't know, I'm a technical wrestling connoisseur. Noam Dar won the match with a standing shining wizard.  Cesaro vs Ilja Dragunov. Always great to see Cesaro do what he does best and that's a fight inside the square circle. So, Ilja called out Cesaro because Cesaro's looking for an open challenge and Cesaro obviously picked his challenger.  The Swiss Cyborg started off this match by throwing Dragunov to the outside ...
