A lot of things happened on this episode of Monday Night RAW. Are most of it good though? Not really. There were a lot of skippable matches that didn't need to be written into the show. But, Overall, the show was okay.
Randy Orton Challenges A Certain Veteran To An Unsanctioned Match.
Orton wanted to thank Edge for lighting up inside him and confidentially stated that Edge might come back in July. July 2029 that is.
Out came Christian and he said that Edge will be back better than ever because Christian's bestie never gives up.
Orton thought that Christian showing up was a way for Captain Charisma to challenge him for a match so Randy did just that but with a stipulation.
That stipulation is an unsanctioned match which means no count outs and no disqualifications. An hour later, Christian actually agreed to Orton's unsanctioned match.
This entire night had me guessing and you know what, having more questions than answers after watching a scene or an episode depending on the context, is a good thing because it does one thing. Have me immediately glued to the screen out of curiosity.
Angel Garza vs Kevin Owens.
After Owens won the match with a stunner due to same outside distractions from Andrade, both of Zelina Vega's clients were arguing but Vega told them to stay on the same page. I don't think that they're going to be on the same side for very long but that's just me.
Bobby Lashley Wants What Now!?
MVP was frustrated that Bobby Lashley's 13 year WWE championship opportunity was taken away from one person, Lana.
Lana, disgusted by what MVP just said, told her husband that she wants Lashley to be ringside again because she loves Bobby. Bobby doesn't want all that but what he does want is a divorce.
Good. That Rusev/Bobby Lashley/Lana saga was beyond horrible so I'm glad it's getting a conclusion.
The Street Profits AND The Viking Raiders vs No Ninja! No Ninja! NO.
The Street Profits and Viking Raiders won the match with Montez Ford's frog splash. However, they can't get rid of the big Ninja so they got The Big Show.
This is so great. This is what I call, "comedy". THIS IS SO GOOD RIGHT!? RIGHT!? RIGHT!? *Going Insane but had to maintain my sanity for the rest of the review*.
Seth Rollins in an interview with Charly Caruso, said that Rollins can sense his presence in the area.
Seth Rollins Invites Rey Mysterio's Son Dominick.
Rollins was sad that Rey declined his invitation but fortunately, Rey's son, Dominick is on his way to the ring.
Mysterio, via satellite, begged Seth Rollins not to hurt his son but Rollins didn't want to hurt Dominick because he's someone that Mysterio sacrifices for the future of Monday Night RAW.
As Seth kept on talking, Dominick strikes Rollins from behind and when Murphy and Austin Theory showed up, Dominick somehow escaped.
I've been eating this entire feud up. I absolutely love this rivalry between Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio. By the way, Dominick looked good in this segment.
Liv Morgan And Natalya vs The IIconics.
After The IIconics won the match, The IIconics called out Bayley and Sasha Banks for a women's tag team championship match. Will they accept the challenge? Scroll down to find out.
Natalya and Lana had an interaction relating to their frustrating situations.
Apollo Crews vs Shelton Benjamin.
Before this match took place, MVP wanted Apollo Crews to join him in his corner but Crews gave a no, no answer to that offer. Apollo Crews won his match in a unique way via a roll-up using the ropes.
Man, WWE has been quietly teasing a heel turn for Crews and honestly, if that happens, I'm all for it.
Think about it, a guy that executes various moves perfectly with a bright white smile and every once in a while, says "too easy" after he wins a match. Don't know about you but that's a heel right there.
Drew McIntyre And R Truth vs Bobby Lashley And MVP.
This entire night had Drew McIntyre tell R Truth to take things seriously. Let me explain why.
R Truth told Bobby Lashley that he felt sorry for Lashley because of the divorce and going to "claymore country."
Lashley and MVP wanted to beat up R Truth but the 24/7 champion somehow ran quickly.
Luckily, they found Truth but he was saved from a beating by Drew McIntyre. MVP challenged him for the 24/7 and WWE championship.
The winner will take all the titles and Truth on behalf of Drew, accepts the challenge. Later in the night, Truth spoke with officials and they said that the tag match will only be for the WWE title.
This match was okay. The babyface team won the match with a Claymore kick from McIntyre to MVP followed by a splash from R Truth.
Bayley And Sasha Banks Celebrate Dos Straps As Well As Bayley's Birthday.
As they were, you guessed it, glowing over their accomplishments, The IIconics wanted an answer to their challenge (they even referenced a rumour from last year's Wrestlemania that they cried after their tag team title loss at Wrestlemania 35 which was funny).
Bayley was so upset that they ruined her birthday that she accepted the tag team title match that The IIconics were requesting. I wasn't a fan of the IIconics but I'm slowly warming up to those guys.
Asuka vs Nia Jax For The RAW Women's Championship.
A rematch from last night (which I actually liked, click here to learn more) and I believed that they were saving for Extreme Rules but I thought I was wrong going into this championship bout.
Jax lost the match via a roll-up due to a miscommunication between her and the referee, John Cone. We're definitely getting a rematch.
Christian vs Randy Orton. Unsanctioned Match.
This match was short and it was expected. Christian ain't having a 15 to 20-minute match after 5 or so years out of the ring. Ric Flair came out to tell Christian that he doesn't need to do this.
Flair, known for being the dirtiest player in the game, hits the blonde Canadian right in his grapefruits (I can't say the word, "grapefruits" without laughing) which led to Randy immediately delivering the punt kick to win this match.
The episode ended with Randy apologizing to Christian for what he just did. Damn, what an ending. The start of the show and the end of the show was great. I especially loved how Rnday did want to injure Christian by apologising and even bringing up their history. Amazing stuff.
So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.
Like: The opening segment and the ending, slowly starting to like The IIconics, FINALLY, They're ending the Lashley and Lana saga.
Didn't like: Skippable matches, the terrible Viking Raiders, Street Profits and Ninjas segment and match.
