WWE RAW 13/4/20 | A Coherent Review.

The Florida men in government announced that WWE is now "an essential business" which after reading an article about this, my anger was World War Hulk level.

So, according to that goof of a governor, WWE's storylines are on the list of important things like groceries, shelter and basic human necessities.

That is disgusting on so many f**king levels and I could write a 3000-word essay as to why that is but those fools will probably say, "it is what it is".

Anywho, how was Monday Night RAW this week? A solid episode actually. A couple of nitpicks but by far, the worst thing on this show is Jerry "The King" Lawler's commentary.

And yes, he's pretty bad the weeks that he's in but this episode highlighted his worst hits on the commentary desk that is worth a top ten list of its own. Also, why's WWE bringing him up for commentary like isn't he at risk due to his old age?

Drew McIntyre's First RAW Appearance Since His WWE Title Win.

WWE Photo
McIntyre thanked the fans for the positive reception he got from winning the big belt (get it? I said Big before I said belt because he faced the Big Show for the championship and retained it?).

WWE Photo

Andrade along with his business associate, Zelina Vega, showed up and they talked about how the last time Drew McIntyre and Andrade fought each other, Drew lost fair and square. McIntyre basically made a match between himself and Andrade later in the night.

It's a shame that this story of Drew losing to Andrade in a future feud isn't being saved for a PPV show but it was a good segment because of the call back of their match at the inaugural NXT Takeover: War Games. Was the main event match pretty good? Scroll down a bit if you wanna find out.

Asuka vs Ruby Riott. Women's Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.

WWE Photo

A decent opening match of the episode. Asuka takes home the opportunity to be part of the women's Money In The Bank ladder match with the Asuka lock.

MVP in his Lounge, announced 2 Money In The Bank ladder match qualifying matches for the Men's side on next week's show. One, is a match between Rey Mysterio and Murphy. Two, is a match between Aleister Black and Austin Theory.

Three, is a match between Apollo Crews and to quote MVP, "the greatest ladder match competitor ever. Ladies and gentlemen, Apollo Crews will face, MVP" (don't act as if you didn't think it was Edge).

Aleister Black vs Oney Lorcan.

WWE Photo

Black continues his dominance again with the black mass (well, that was underwhelming Omar I mean that's all you got?).

Becky Lynch Says That Her Match With Shayna Is A Test Of Heart Vs Skill.

WWE Photo

Lynch mentioned how maybe that she's arrogant or maybe that her long title run has gotten to her head, however, she is still at the end of the day, not a bully like Shayna Baszler but a survivor.

The champ ends her speech telling the potential Money In The Bank ladder match winner that she will surprise the world once more. Strong and effective words indeed. Simply put, a great promo as usual from Becky Lynch.

Shayna Baszler vs Sarah Logan.

WWE Photo

The match lasted in short notice due to a stomp from Shayna on Sarah Logan's arm and that spot gave Logan the W. But the referee made an error and it turns out that Baszler is the winner.

A bit of a nitpick but Why did the ref screw up like that? Isn't he, you know, trained to prevent situations like this?

I don't know what WWE is telling with this downward spiral from Shayna Baszler but will see what happens.

Speaking of downward spirals, Seth Rollins is in a sad mood after the loss from Kevin Owens and he just can't get over it.

Austin Theory vs Akria Tosawa.

WWE Photo

After a decent showing between those two men, Austin Theory won the match with the TKO or the ATL aka Austin Theory Launch to which Theory, Angel Garza and Andrade assaulted Tosawa.

Besides Jerry Lawler calling Tosawa's rolling senton "a ramen noodle moonsault" (kindly GTFO of commentary), I like the warm-up they're giving for Black and Austin Theory in their respective match before they face each other next week.

Rey in his interview with Charly Caruso, said that he knows how dangerous the Money In The Bank contract is when Kane cashed in his contract to win the world heavyweight championship almost 10 years ago and winning the ladder means more to him than anything. The 2010 Money In The Bank reference was something I did not expect.

Angel Garza vs Tehuti Miles From NXT.

WWE Photo

Just like the previous match, the trio in Garza, Theory and Andrade attacked the loser of the match after one of Vega's clients won a match.

Those guys are talented so a stable especially within the midcard, is something I do not mind at all.

Kairi Sane vs Nia Jax. Women's Money In The Bank Qualifying Match.

WWE Photo

Nia Jax qualifies for the women's Money In The Bank ladder match with a backdrop position into a Samoan drop. Cool.

The NXT Women's Champion Shows Up To Verbally Make A Statement.

WWE Photo

The rumours are true, Charlotte Flair will go back and forth between two shows which is odd given that Flair won a singles women's championship match on a separate brand but whatever.

Charlotte in her promo, pretty much said that every woman in the yellow brand will blow down to the queen. A meh promo.

Bobby Lashley vs No Way Jose.

During the match, Lashley told his wife Lana to shut the hell up. That didn't stop Bobby from winning this match.

WWE Photo

Doesn't anyone care that Bobby Lashley is going to distance himself from Lana? I sure don't.

The Viking Raiders vs Ricochet And Cedric Alexander.

To be honest, I like this match. Their styles have really mixed in pretty well. Erik threw Ricochet onto the outside to Cedric Alexander. Ricochet had to face the Viking Raiders all by himself for a moment with a series of kicks.

The match concluded with the Viking Experience on Cedric Alexander to win this competitive tag team match. The duo of Ricochet and Alexander looked amazing in defeat so they shouldn't be bothered by their performance.

The Street Profits were messing around while talking about The Viking Raiders but Bianca Belair told them that in order to keep the belts, they have to take their competition seriously.

Drew McIntyre vs Andrade.

This main event bout was fine but the ending was notable. Seth Rollins from outta nowhere came out and stomped on the WWE champion after Drew takes the W in the final match of the episode. Anybody saw that feud coming from miles away so it isn't surprising.

I went back to read my older RAW reviews from 2 years ago to see how I felt about their matches and whether I still liked it years later.

Turns out that I did enjoy the series of encounters they've had so from a match quality standpoint, I wouldn't be disappointed. However, I am curious as to how they build the story going into Money In The Bank.

Will Seth mention that he was once from being the beloved new champion to now a despised figure in WWE and the same could happen to Drew McIntyre? Will have to wait and see.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The warm-up matches for Aleister Black and Austin Theory before they face each other, The Viking Raiders vs Ricochet And Cedric Alexander, Becky Lynch promo, opening segment, the Vega stable.

Didn't like: The ref messed up regarding the winner of the Baszler and Logan match, Jerry Lawler on commentary (as usual but he was especially horrendous tonight).

WWE Wrestlemania 26 | A Coherent Review.

I've teased a mystery review on my Facebook page (which you can click here to follow us) and that mystery has now been unveiled. It's Wrestlemania 26. This review was delayed and was supposed to be up last Monday but at least is now up. Also, The first draft of this review was 7 pages long so strap in. By far, the longest review on this very website.  I thought it would be fitting to review a Wrestlemania from a decade back and how do I feel about it? It was a show that if you watched it, you're most likely going to have a good time. It was a mix of great things but terrible things at the same time as most shows.  The 26th edition of Wrestlemania took place in the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona on March 28th, 2010.  The commentators were Micheal Cole, Jerry Lawler and Matt Striker. Honestly, Striker was pretty good and a far better colour commentator than Lawler was on this show (even today, Lawler is still bleh on commen...

WrestleFest DXB's Fahrenheit 971 | A Coherent W.

Being a fan of pro wrestling (or any other medium of entertainment) does have its pros and cons when engaging with the industry as a whole.  On one hand, you've witnessed an Eddie Kingston promo that'll make you tear up more than the opening scene of Up.  On the other hand, going to the wrestling subreddit will definitely have you questioning humanity as a whole and the fact that living in an area where a wrestling presence pretty much doesn't exist like a Vince Russo-written storyline that is, you know, GOOD!?  Luckily, the latter retracted my con as a fan because I'm talking about Wrestlefest DXB and their latest joint, "971 Fahrenheit".  Martin Bushby of now Post Wrestling Alumni brought the event to my attention because like a wrestler on an episode of RAW I get distracted all the time.  So, I decided to take a short journey to a taxi then a bus then a train then a 30-minute walk to the show itself and I know I'm going to sound biased as f**k but I l...

Let's Talk About The State Of Wrestlemania 37.

I usually save those kinds of pieces for my weekly news series, The 5 News Week due to how modern this subject is and how my essays usually dwell on the past.  Usually, it is too early to talk about an upcoming Wrestlemania in October but not this time especially since we're still in a pandemic.  This is a topic I've been thinking about all month and I had to write my thoughts on it.  Let's answer this question right away whether Wrestlemania 37 will happen in SoFii stadium next year?  from CBS Los Angeles The answer is an obvious no. But, I want to try to dig deeper and see exactly where we stand today.  As of me writing this, Wrestlemania: Hollywood edition is still scheduled to take place in SoFi stadium despite an outlet that shall not be named, claiming otherwise.  This is either sheer blind optimism or downright idiotic from Dubya, Dubya E.  WrestleVotes did mention back in July that while the event is still going to take place in the stadium,...
