WWE RAW 17/2/20 | My Coherent Review.

Another solid episode courtesy of the red brand. It would've been a great show if the program was 2 hours like it used to be but decent is better than sh*t.

Randy Orton Finally Responds About His Actions.

WWE Photo

Randy Orton, like everybody these days, points to the titantron for a video package describing a wrestling angle and in this case, it was describing this storyline so far.

Orton says that Matt Hardy is not medically able to fight him and also stated that the Hardy Boyz are known for jumping off the highest of highs while crashing on the lowest of the lows.

A beat-up Matt Hardy showed up to tell Randy "What in the hell is wrong with you, Randy Orton?" Matt also said that Matt Hardy will not die, a line that was used when he feuded with Edge 15 years back.

Orton with regret in his eyes, says that he not only respects Edge but he also loves him like a brother and said he's sorry for what he's done.

Orton eventually left the ring, taking off his jacket while Hardy brought up a chair. The viper, unfortunately, got the best of Hardy by absolutely destroying Matt Hardy with no remorse.

Now that is a HEEL, bro. A moving, emotional and above all, fantastic segment. The thing that I love about this is that in 10 or so minutes, it tells the audience exactly who Randy Orton and Matt Hardy are as characters.

One is a dude with voices in his head and the other is somebody that fights like his life depends on it. Great stuff.

Aleister Black vs Erick Rowan.

WWE Photo

Finally, Both guys have some competition after a series of squash matches and it resulted in Erick Rowan's best match to date. It took Aleister Black two black masses to put Erick Rowan down and win this match.

Charlotte Flair Addresses Her NXT Takeover: Portland Appearance.

WWE Photo

Charlotte Flair talked about how she's one of the performers that built in what it's a legitimate third alternative brand aka NXT and calls out Ripley for her entitlement.

She ends her dialogue mentioning that everyone is the next big until their not (unless your name is Brock Lesnar who's nickname at one point was the next big thing so).

I expected Bianca Belair to attack her from behind but that didn't happen (speaking of Bianca Belair, click here to read my NXT Takeover: Portland review). Short but effective segment.

Riddick Moss vs R Truth vs Mojo Rawley For The 24/7 Championship.

WWE Photo

This bout was as short as a quick Royal Rumble elimination. Moss retained with a roll-up to Mojo Rawley then, Mojo attacked R Truth but Mojo ate a scissors kick from Truth.

When's R Truth finally going to face his childhood hero, John Cena? Probably not if you believe the reports that Elias' Wrestlemania opponent is the man that you can't see.

Drew McIntyre vs MVP.

Before the match, Drew McIntyre had the crowd to point at the Wrestlemania sign which was hilarious.

Paul Heyman came out and once again, fooled everybody in thinking that Brock's in the building.

Heyman went verbally back and forth with McIntyre to which he introduces MVP because that is Drew's opponent that evening.

The match like the 24/7 championship was really quick. McIntyre wins with the claymore kick.

Becky Lynch To Quote WWE, "Bites Back".

The RAW women's champion pulled out some money which is Shayna Baszler's medical fund according to the man because to put it simply, Becky's gonna destroy her.

Baszler showed up via the titantron saying that her upcoming Elimination Chamber match is perfect for her given that she was a former cage fighter.

Becky ended the segment by telling Shayna that she'll cheer her on. This was fine. It did its job.

Rusev And Humberto Carrillo vs Angel Garza And Bobby Lashley.

WWE Photo

This was a non-offensive, typical tag team match. The heel team got a huge win thanks to a roll-up from Angel Garza to Rusev after Rusev got distracted by Bobby Lashley.

That is pretty cool. A big win like this leads to hopefully a huge push for young guys like Angel Garza.

Natalya vs Kairi Sane.

WWE Photo

A decent match. Asuka's kick to Natalie without the ref's witness led to a count-out win for Kairi.

Over or under that Natalya teams up with Beth Phoenix to take on The Kabuki Warriors for the women's tag team titles at Wrestlemania? I'll go over.

A Sermon For The Monday Night Messiah.

WWE Photo

This is a Monday Night messiah segment so expect some "I'm a saver" and "I preach oneness not divisiveness" lines from Seth Rollins.

What is different than the rest of those segments if you call it that, was when The Viking Raiders came out and spoiled the Sermon which included a stunner from outta nowhere by Kevin Owens.

Honestly,  I would like to see some conclusion to this saga because it's getting tiresome.

The Return Of AJ Styles.

WWE Photo

AJ Styles showed up inside the squared circle for the first time since the 2020 men's Royal Rumble took place.

Styles says that it ain't a Wrestlemania season without the phenomenal one. AJ went on to say that he will prove his critics that he's one of the best at Super showdown next week.

Ricochet came out to basically issue a challenge to AJ Styles but Karl Anderson told Styles that he'll take care of Ricochet instead and just like that, we got a match.

Ricochet vs Karl Anderson.

WWE Photo

That segment earlier dragged on even with an AJ Styles return. This match, however, was fine. Ricochet wins with a fireman's carry into a roundhouse kick which looked cool.

Liv Morgan in an interview with Charly Caruso, said that she's looking to the future and that's by eliminating Ruby Riott at the women's Elimination Chamber match and will win the opportunity to face the RAW women's champion for the title at Wrestlemania.

Kevin Owens And The Viking Raiders vs AOP And Murphy.

WWE Photo

By the way, I've noticed that Murphy is now supporting full wrestling tights covering all the way to his legs. I'm nitpicking but I thought his previous look made him unique.

The match ended via a DQ as Rollins attacked Kevin Owens but he was rescued by the Street Profits. Cool.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: The opening segment, a big win for Angel Garza by pinning Rusev, Aleister Black vs Erick Rowan.

Didn't like: A dull third hour.

WWE Extreme Rules 2019 | My Coherent Review.

Man, I'm impressed with WWE in terms of PPVs as of late because overall, this was a fantastic show in my opinion with great matches but the crowd was dead for most of the show so that sucks.  I finally watched the pre-show match between Finn Balor and Shinsuke Nakamura before I went to bed because the show aired at 2 am where I live and it was okay.  By the way, how interesting is it when on last year’s Extreme Rules show, Shinsuke Nakamura won the United States championship and now this year’s show, he won the intercontinental title. Also, it's funny that the intercontinental championship was the main event on last's year show and on this year's Extreme Rules PPV, it's on the preshow.  Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre vs Roman Reigns and The Undertaker.  Mike Rome did better in announcing "The Best In the world" this time than on RAW. Mike Rome's announcement a few weeks ago sounded like that one friend that thinks he/she knows how to ...

NXT Takeover: In Your House 2020 | A Coherent Review.

NXT Takeover: In Your House is like the rest of the Takeover shows, a fantastic 2 hours of professional wrestling.  What makes this show special is the additional nostalgia like how the show started with the NXT WWF inspired intro, the ice cream commercial narrated by William Regal doing his best Lord Alferd Hayes impression, icopro commercial and last but not least, Todd Pettengill.  This is a show that I'm definitely rewatching in years to come.  Mia Yim, Tegan Nox And Shotzi Blackheart vs Raquel Gonzalez, Candice LeRae And Dakota Kai.  A decent opening match. During the match, Nox did a Molly Holly top rope on to every competitor in the match.  Yim tried to give LeRae some Seoul Food but LeRae reversed that into a suplex. Several minutes later, Shotzi did a Salida Del Sol of some sort on Gonzalez to which Nox delivered the shiniest wizard on Kai and won the match.  Finn Balor vs Damian Priest. I actually thought that the closing mo...

The Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Holy Sh*t, The Revival Are All Elite, Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher In A Unique Steel Cage Match.

Both shows had its weak points but overall, that was an enjoyable 4 hours of professional wrestling television. I personally liked AEW Dynamite this week.  From an awesome women's match with Shida and Christi Jaynes to The Revival showing up, AEW managed to give me a solid episode and successfully furthered their storylines to next week's exciting show.  NXT   Highlights (at least in my opinion because wrestling is subjective).  Kushida vs Drake Maverick vs Jake Atlas. Triple Threat Match Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament.  What a way to kick off this episode of NXT, am I right? Atlas delivered the rainbow DDT but Kushida broke Jake's pin.  Speaking of Kushida, he nailed the armbar submission, however, Drake pinned Atlas because Atlas' shoulders were on the mat and will meet El Hijo Del Fantasma for the finals next week.  I don't know if Drake is rehired or he's going to be rehired but Maverick has a big ta...
