WWE TLC 2019 | My Coherent Review.

In case you forgot guys, this is the last WWE PPV of 2019 and they ended the year with a fun pro wrestling event but this ain't a WWE show without some bad booking decisions.

The Humberto Carrillo and Andrade match was good. Humberto wins clean this time with a moonsault.

Then, Andrade and Zelina Vega were arguing pretty much and honestly, breaking them up will be a huge mistake considering that the pairing is what makes Andrade unique. I hope once that happens, Andrade can bounce back from it.

The New Day in Kofi Kingston And Big E vs The Revival For The SmackDown Tag Team Championship In a Ladder Match.

WWE Photo

Kingston almost killed himself by throwing himself on the outside to the Revival on the ladder. Both Revival members then climbed the ladder but Big E somehow took out both guys with a belly to belly suplex.

Then, Big E himself climbed the ladder but he was halfway there and Scott Dawson drop kicked on Big E's leg, preventing him from climbing to the top.

Kingston stomped on the ladder and it hit both Dawson and Dash Wilder to which he kicked Wilder's head off with the trouble in paradise after he delivered a springboard board tornado DDT on Dawson.

WWE Photo

Big E tried to plant Scott Dawson with a splash on the ladder that was set up on the top rope but Wilder kicked Big E's grapefruits and instead, Scott Dawson hits a suplex followed by a stomp on the big man by Wilder through a ladder.

Kingston battled with Dawson on top of the ladder and Kofi Kingston used the title belts to strike on Dawson, throwing himself to the bottom leading to Kofi unhooking the belts to regain the SmackDown tag team championships.

A fun start to a TLC PPV. My imaginary hats off goes to all 4 guys for almost killing themselves in the name of our entertainment.

Baron Corbin told Kalya Braxton in a backstage interview that Roman Reigns should bow down.

Buddy Murphy vs Aleister Black.

WWE Photo

The man from Amsterdam had his nose filled with blood thanks to Murphy's quick strikes which is more of an Aleister Black thing.

Black makes his comeback with some knee strikes and a springboard moonsault but Murphy is still fighting.

Speaking of a moonsault, Black hits that move again this time from the ring post on Murphy, however, Murphy countered that with a sitout powerbomb from the top rope to Aleister.

WWE Photo

After a series of kicks from the Australian, Aleister knocked him out with the black mass and Black takes the W.

Another hard-hitting brutal match that entertained me and the masses based off the crowd reactions. Hopefully, Aleister Black doesn't wait in a dark room to PICK A. A FIGHT A. WITH HIM A.

Another person who's hopeful for the future is Rusev and he's optimistic that he'll put Lashley through a table in an interview with Charly Caruso.

The Viking Raiders' Open Challenge.

WWE Photo

The O.C answered the challenge and it makes sense given that that gave The Viking Raiders their first L almost two months back. Will The Viking Raiders lose once more to The O.C? Well, let's talk about the highlights first.

Also, there are some KFC bucket chicken near the ring post being eaten by some fans (I mean I would've said lucky bastards if KFC chicken is actually you know, good).

The O.C wanted to hit the magic killer on the KFC branded table after the match was over via a count-out but both Viking Raiders threw Karl Anderson through that table.

WWE Photo

A mediocre match to be honest but I hope that match was set up that way for a good rematch somewhere down the line.

The Miz said in an interview with Kalya (Billie Kay's voice) that he's fighting not as The Miz but rather as a father and as a husband.

Roman Reigns vs King Corbin In A Tables, Ladders And Chairs Match.

WWE Photo

The first and second last TLC match of the evening and it was meh. This bout was a whole lotta brawling, slow chair shots from the 2019 King Of The Ring winner but probably the most impressive thing about this match was a Samoan drop to Corbin through the announce table.

Thanks to the King's influence, Dolph Ziggler and The Revival helps Corbin by hitting on Reigns but the big dog somehow took out both guys along with a bunch of Corbin's personal guards with a suicide dive.

WWE Photo

But the former tag team champions and the show off survived that by hitting their respective finishers which led to Corbin delivering the end of days to win this match.

Again, a surprisingly okay match given that I would've disliked that match a lot more if it wasn't for that announce table spot, Ziggler and The Revival showing up.

The Miz vs Bray Wyatt.

WWE Photo

This is a friendly, less intimating version of Wyatt's in-ring debut and Miz was pretty much dominant while Bray was laughing. Wyatt finally regained some momentum with a vicious sister Abigail on the outside and another one this time inside the ring and he won the match.

After that bizarre of a match, The Fiend was in the titantron while Bray was looking at the screen to which Wyatt brought a huge hammer and the lights dimmed down. A dude with a red hoodie hits the running knee and he revealed himself as Orange Cassidy, I mean Daniel Bryan.

WWE Photo

Bryan wanted to strike Bray with that huge hammer but the lights went down and Bray Wyatt suddenly disappeared. It's as if the 2011 Daniel Bryan went 8 years into the future and faced Bray Wyatt. Nevertheless, it is good to see Daniel Bryan back.

Rusev vs Bobby Lashley In A Tables Match.

WWE Photo

I'm not a fan of this storyline but that TMZ theme video package about this storyline was comedy gold. Like the Reigns vs Corbin match, this one was a slow-paced match for the most part and not the best of ways obviously.

Bobby threw Rusev through a table thanks to Lana's distraction leading to Lashley winning this match.

Meanwhile, The Street Profits were talking about the previous match to which the duo's eyes and the camera pointed at the direction of Roman Reigns hitting on Corbin with straight rights. So, there you go. Who cares?

Kabuki Warriors vs Becky Lynch And Charlotte Flair For The WWE Women's Tag Team Championship In A Tables, LaddersAnd Chairs Match.

WWE Photo

The second and final TLC match of the night and it had subverted expectations for pro wrestling fans. The unlikely alliance in the man and the queen started off this match all business says Vic Joseph.

Kairi Sane used the fire extinguisher which blinded Flair for a bit and used the rope to tide Flair with a chair and Becky with the ladder. Charlotte somehow got out of it and tried to stop the champs from climbing the ladder but the warrior knocked her out with a kick by Asuka.

Thanks to Charlotte, Becky got out of the rope and attacked Sane with a chair and a kendo stick while Charlotte beats up Asuka. Lynch then delivered Asuka a brutal leg drop through a table to which Charlotte put Kairi Sane through you guessed it, a table moments later.

WWE Photo

There's an old saying of "payback's a b*tch" and Flair got a payback thanks to Asuka throwing her through a table.

Asuka pulled the ladder with a rope when Lynch was climbing the ladder and Becky landed hard on the mat leading to the empress climbing the ladder and unhooking the belts to regain the tag belts.

After that, Roman Reigns and Baron Corbin were brawling and the show fades to black. Why WWE put an unnecessary brawl at the end? I have literally no idea.

WWE Photo

I'm glad the Kabuki Warriors actually won this match clean with no interference behind it. I was afraid that they would lose the belts but that fear went away thanks to WWE's booking/ Shout out to all the women in that match. By the way, I'm hearing that Kairi Sane apparently suffered a concussion according to Bryan Alveraz via a tweet he sent out so well wishes to Sane.

So, to recap for all of you slow mofos.

Like: Buddy Murphy vs Aleister Black, The New Day vs The Revival, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch vs The Kabuki Warriors, Daniel Bryan coming back.

Didn't like: The Viking Raiders vs The O.C, The ending to TLC (completely unnecessary), Rusev vs Bobby Lashley.

The 5 News Week: An Interview With Musician John Kiernan.

WE'RE BACK LADIES, GENTLEMEN AND NB! Now, what did I miss from the several week hiatus?  *Scrolls down at the news feed* a billionaire said something stupid. Monday Night RAW is still duh and uninspired. Mass release of talent by WWE.  So……. Same old sh*t? Figures.  For those unaware (pretty much everybody), The 5 News Week is where I showcase 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have the time to do separately.  Without further ado, here are the 5 News Week.  An Interview With Musician John Kiernan.  I kick things off with an interview from a guy that I'm hoping (as a musician) appreciates Brie Bella's theme song because my music tastes suck, musician John Kiernan.  If the name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you’re listening to a podcast that loves shouting out the names John “loose cannon” Lopez and ‘Beast Mode” Brock Joseph at the beginning.  Kiernan has composed and straight-up killed it in the pro wrestling musi...

WWE Backlash 2020 | A Coherent Review.

Overall, a decent PPV that was highlighted by a few good matches and one greatest match (yea, yea, the pun is worn out already but I just had to).  As a tradition on this site, I've not seen the pre-show match, however, I've heard it was solid.  Bayley And Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss And Nikki Cross vs The IIconics For The Women's Tag Team Championship.  A decent opening match of the evening. Peyton Royce did a unique crossbody onto every participant in the match.  Moments later, Royce and Billie Kay did their double team move on Sasha Banks but you know who also did a double team move?  Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss with a double team DDT on Peyton Royce.  As soon as Bliss hits the Twisted Bliss on Peyton Royce, Sasha Banks quickly rolled Alexa up for the victory and retained dos straps.  The tag team championship reign of the golden role models continues (No sh*t, Omar). Also, I wanna briefly speak on the Alexa Bliss situation....

Jim Cornette's Opinion On WWE's Deal With FOX.

Jim Cornette recently appeared on Talk Is Jericho about the state of wrestling ( Click here to listen and download the whole thing, it's really good) and talked about a number of topics but the interesting thing about this discussion is his opinion on WWE's deal with FOX. Here's what he had to say (shout out to WrestleZone for the transcript):  " Vince just got $2 billion for a TV deal. People are looking at All In, the resurgence of New Japan, and all that, but that’s going to be the most important thing. Now people with platforms are interested in wrestling again.  There’s a lot of money in wrestling again. For a while ratings were meh, and they still are, but at the same point $2 billion, how can you argue with that? In 2011, when Sinclair Broadcasting bought Ring of Honor it instantly became the second most watched television program because it was on 60 local stations.  That was still a wide gap from WWE, and IMPACT has gone in the other direction becaus...
