My Coherent Wrestling Wednesdays: Chris Jericho Offers Moxley To Join Inner Circle, The Go-Home Show Before Dec 18th.

I thought the middle act of AEW Dynamite suffered some pacing issues even though it was overall a much stronger show than last week's episode.

The latest episode of NXT, however, has built a solid foundation on what's to come on December 18th. The main question is, which show do I like better? The answer is AEW.

NXT

Highlights.

Angel Garza vs Lio Rush For The NXT Cruiserweight Championship.

WWE Photo
Was this match better than their first encounter? Like Snoop Dogg's verse in Sasha Banks' theme song, "Hell yea". Garza slams Rush hard on the ring apron by pushing the champ. Moments later, Garza delivers the Spanish Fly and Rush kicked out of that.

As Rush hits the frog splash, the champ wanted to pull him back in the middle of the ring but instead, he ripped off Garza's pants (nice attention to detail).

Angel then hits the wind clipper but Lio kicked out which led to a wind clipper submission and the man of the hour tapped out which means that Angel Garza is the new cruiserweight champion (No sh*t, Omar). This match was awesome.

I was hoping that Garza would pull off a win and he did. Also, the new champ proposed his girlfriend inside the ring so congratulations to the couple.

Mia Yim vs Dakota Kai.

WWE Photo
I like this match. Yim puts her down for a bit with a brutal sunset flip after she pushes Dakota to the steel steps.

Kai rips off the turnbuckle, pushes Mia on to the exposed turnbuckle and Dakota Kai wins here. That finish led to a beating from the HBIC.

Keith Lee vs Finn Balor vs Tommaso Ciampa Number One Contender's Match For The NXT Championship.

WWE Photo
Lee dives from the top rope onto Ciampa and Balor with a brutal crossbody. Ciampa wanted to plant the prince with the white noise however, Ciampa got additional assistance from Keith Lee with the electric chair and slams down the mat.

Balor then reversed the pop-up sitout powerbomb from Lee into a double stomp. The closing moments of the match was when Balor hits the coup de grace on Keith and the prince gets the opportunity to get his prize. A fun, solid main event. December 18th cannot come any closer.

Some Other Things That Happened.

WWE Photo
Raul Mendoza vs Cameron Grimes - Mendoza picks up the upset with a hurricanrana into a pinfall attempt thanks to Kushida.

Jaxson Ryker vs Travis Banks -  the kiwi buzzsaw wins here with a slide of heaven which is a Cody Rhodes disaster kick from the middle rope. I didn't expect a clean win but okay.

Breezango vs The Singh Brothers Aka the Bollywood Boyz -  This by far, the best Bollywood Boyz match I've ever seen so far in their careers but they took an L with a top rope leg drop from Fandango to Sunil Singh.

An NXT Women's Championship Match Preview - Such good stuff which sounds like the PG version of an infamous Vince McMahon line, "such good sh*t". Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to that match.

Bianca Belair vs Kayden Carter - Belair dominates once again with the EST.

AEW

Highlights.

Le Champion Offered Jon Moxley To Join the Inner Circle.

After Moxley wins the opening match of the night, the Inner Circle came out and the leader of the group had some interesting words to say about Jon.

Chris claims that his feud with the man formerly known as Dean Ambrose in 2016 is what taught Moxley to be a main event level talent and proceeds to offer Moxley to join the Inner Circle. An effective segment that hopefully leads to a satisfying conclusion.

MJF Does Some MJF Things.

MJF brought up a crew member and MJF wanted him to kiss his ring which he did and MJF delivers the Cross Rhodes anyways. MJF went on to verbally obliterate Cody and he'll name the stipulation of his upcoming bout against Cody in Jacksonville.

This was a good promo. I can only speak for myself but it makes me want to see this match with whatever the stipulation might be. Overall, it did its job.

Big Swole vs Emi Sakura.

A good match. Big Swole takes the W with a spinning forearm. I liked Big Swole in her short stint with WWE in the Mae Young Classic tournament and I'm now even more fascinated as to what she does in the women's division.

The Young Bucks vs Proud N' Powerful In A Street Fight. Winner Faces SCU For The AEW World Tag Team Championship.

The main highlight for me was when Matt Jackson of the Youngs Bucks wore an American football helmet and speared both Santana And Ortiz.

The brothers from sunny California kicked Ortiz's head with a chair followed by the Meltzer driver and the Youngs Bucks are now number one contender for the tag team championship.

A fun, enjoyable match as expected when The Young Bucks and Proud & Powerful are in the ring.

Some Other Things That Happened.

Cody And QT Marshall vs The Butcher And The Blade - Match was decent. The Butcher And The Blade won the match with a double team suplex into a backbreaker to QT Marshall.

Then, Darby Allen showed up and Allen helped Cody get back to his feet. This is the first I've seen QT and so far, I'm impressed.

The Dark Order Recruitment Video And A Brandi Rhodes Promo - The Dark Order one is interesting. Brandi Rhodes promo, however? Still not intrigued, to be honest.

Kenny Omega And Hangman Page vs Kip Sabian And "The Chairman" Shawn Spears -  As Sabian was about to tag Shawn Spears, the lights were turned off and the spotlight turned to a helpless Tully Blanchard tied to a chair by Joey Janela.

That lead to Hangman Page hitting the clothesline and the babyface team wins this one. An okay encounter.

Luchasaurus vs Sammy Guevara - Pretty much a one-sided match. After Luchasaurus pick up the victory, Chris Jericho and Jake Hager entered the ring and beats up Luchasaurus but the dinosaur got some back up in Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt.

I liked the 10-minute stipulation being put in Jungle Boy's upcoming match with Le Champion. It adds a bit of intrigue.

The 5 News Week: An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom, Fans Singing Petitions For Charlotte Flair Not Winning Titles Anymore!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. An Interview With ROH's Eli Isom.  Yes. After several and several and several of The 5 News Week articles that I've been putting out since late 2018, I finally got an interview for you guys.  The person in question is Ring Of Honour's Eli Isom. Since graduating from the ROH Dojo, Isom has worked and learned from the absolute best in the industry:  "I’m lucky that I got a chance to train from scratch with ROH, without that kind of training who knows where I’d be right now." So, without further ado, here is the conversation I had with Eli.  Omar: My first question is, how would you describe the persona of "Eli Isom" to resident WWE shills like myself? Eli Isom: For me, my wrestling persona isn’t too far off from who I real...

The 5 News Week: There Was Supposed To Be A New Nation Of Domination Stable!?

Hello, my fellow wrestling fans and welcome to the 5 news week. The post where I report 5 major or minor news of the week that I don't have time to do it separately. Without further ado, here are the 5 news week. Why Did The Sasha Banks And Asuka Match Have A Head Scratching Ending? The boss and the empress of tomorrow had a match of the night at Extreme Rules this past Sunday but the ending is a different story.  So, why did an over-complicated type of an ending like this was written into the PPV?  Well, good old Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez stated on Wrestling Observer Radio (From Cagesideseats ) that the finish was layed off like that so that the rematch (which was announced on the recent episode of Monday) will happen.  The hope for that is to "pop a number" in the ratings.  In other words, it was a reported marketing decision (no f'ing sh*t, Omar). Hey, at least we're getting a rematch, right?  Mike Bennett On Contemplating Leaving Pro...

WWE Smackdown 17/12/21 | A Coherent Review.

Another week, another meh episode of Smackdown although the ending was pretty eye-opening.  Images via WWE.com   The Viking Raiders vs Jinder Mahal And Shanky.  After a backstage segment that included The Usos roasting Xavier Woods' kingship, the blue brand really started the show with a match (not this one) which is a rare thing to see on main roster television. And the match wasn't bad at all.  The Viking Raider defeated the team of Jinder and Shanky with a splash from Ivor. Does everyone want a Happy Corbin segment? Well, no and Drew McIntyre agrees as he took out Corbin and Madcap Moss to retrieve his sword which sounds like a bad King Arthur comedy flick or something.  Naomi Wants A Match With Sonya Deville.  Naomi is upset at how Sonya Deville acted like a Susan over the past few months so the glow queen challenged the actual manager to a match at Day 1 and Sonya was like, "Ahhhh, no".  Naomi then had a match with Shayna Baszler and within minute...
